Florence J. (Ellenberger) Thomas, 91, of Penn Hills died Nov. 26, 2002, at St. Andrews Village.
Born Oct. 14, 1911, in White Township, Indiana County, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Jane (Smith) Ellenberger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 10 sisters; and three brothers.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at Charles W. Trenz Funeral Home.
Interment was at Oakland Cemetery.
Franciscus
Gladys Franciscus, 66, of Plum died Dec. 2, 2002.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Franciscus.
Surviving are her children, Martin Franciscus, Judith Ashbaugh and Janet Kelly; sisters, Patricia McCabe and Joann Barken; and four grandsons.
Friends were received at Soxman Funeral Home. Interment was at Plum Creek Cemetery.
Gannon
George P. Gannon, 57, of Plum Borough died Dec. 6, 2002, at Forbes Regional Hospital.
Born in Peoria, Ill., he was the son of George and Helena (Broderick) Gannon. Mr. Gannon was a social studies teacher with Pittsburgh Public School System. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he was a member of Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers, a volleyball coach and member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Penn Hills.
Surviving are his wife, Lynn (Miller) Gannon; his children, Paul and David Kennedy, and Carrie Chiusano; sisters, Patricia Woods and Margaret Gannon; and five grandchildren.
Friends were received at Maurice L. Knee Funeral Home.
Interment was at Plum Creek Cemetery.
Honsberger
Fred J.M. Honsberger, 75, of Plum died Dec. 4, 2002, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.
Born Aug. 8, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was the son of Fred and Mary (Allan) Honsberger.
He served with the U.S. Navy for 20 years during World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Honsberger was a member of the Lions, Riverside Commun-ity Church and former president and member of Plum Borough Council.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Janet (Whitmore) Honsberger; his son, Fred Honsberger of Monroeville and his wife, Christine; a sister, Phoebe Coupland; and grandchildren, Kyle and Kevin Honsberger of Plum.

McKinley
Marian H. McKinley, 81, of Plum Borough died Dec. 3, 2002, while vacationing in Savannah, Ga.
Born Feb. 10, 1921, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Katherine (Harvey) Dunn. She was a member of St. John’s Parish in Unity.
Surviving are her husband, Charles McKinley; children, Charles and Robert McKinley, both of Plum Borough, Susan Carmody of Sewickley and Jeraldine Graf of Plum Borough; seven grandchildren.
Friends were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home. Mass was at St. Januarius Catholic Church in Renton. Interment was at Plum Creek Cemetery.
Aber
Mary M. Aber, 97, of Saltsburg died Dec. 15, 2002.
Mrs. Aber was a former nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Aber Sr.; and a son, Frank Aber Jr.
Surviving are her son, Donald Aber Sr.; a sister, Dorothy Clark; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Yoest
Denis P. Yoest, 61, of Plum died Dec. 4, 2002.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Yoest; children, Carol Kitchener of Monroeville and Denise Benedik of Robinson Township; grandchildren, Kelsely and Aaron Kitchener; sisters, Carol Staudt and Mary Lou Tuite.

Gigliotti
Donna L. Gigliotti, 50, of Silver Spring, Md., formerly of Plum Borough, died Dec. 16, 2002.
Born May 17, 1952, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Anthony and Rose (Tolino) Gigliotti. She was a coordinator for International Athletics for the State Department in Washington, D.C. Ms. Gigliotti was a 1970 graduate of Plum High School and a graduate of Penn State University. She was selected to carry the Olympic torch for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. She was also a professional ballroom dance instructor.
Surviving are her brothers, Rick and Gary Gigliotti; nieces, Lisa and Lauren Gigliotti; and nephews, Adam, Marcus and Matthew Gigliotti.
The family received friends at Schellhaas Funeral Home in Richland Township. Mass will be 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Richard Catholic Church with the Rev. Ken Oldenski officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Penn Hills.

Hood
John C. Hood, 82, of Penn Hills died Dec. 10, 2002.
Mr. Hood was a retired owner of David Hood Sons Inc. roofing in Wilkins Township. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Helen (Neal) Hood; his children, Jimmy Hood of Penn Hills, Joan Bartczak of Colorado and JC Hood of Penn Hills; sister, Evelyn Hayes of Moon Township; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Richards
Daniel Davis Richards, 82, formerly of Penn Hills, died Dec. 10, 2002.
Mr. Richards was a retired salesman with S&H Green Stamps.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Richards; his son Robert Richards; nine brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his children, Dr. Daniel Davis Richards Jr., Janet All, Kathleen Thompson; sisters, Genevieve, Mary and Ruth; eight grandchildren.
