Frances Gorshin, 92, of Oakmont died Jan. 10, 2003.
An immigrant from Slovenia, Mrs. Gorshin was a stay-at-home mother and talented seamstress who later worked with such upscale boutiques and clothiers as Ruth Young, Miller’s and Sax’s. She loved gardening too. However, she was probably best known as No. 1 fan of her son, actor Frank Gorshin.
In addition to her son, she is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Condron Roland and her husband, Willie, of Plum; daughter-in-law, Christina Gorshin of Connecticut; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Frank Gorshin Sr.; and her son, Herman Gorshin.
Friends were received at Thomas D. English Funeral Home. Mass was at St. Irenaeus Church in Oakmont.

Miklos
Joseph Miklos, 86, of Plum Borough died Jan. 11, 2003.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Naomi (McGuire) Miklos; children, Shirley Dick and Betty Glenn; brother, Paul Miklos; and sisters, Betty Walters and Hermina Finnigan; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Soxman Funeral Home. A service will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home.
Nieder
Regina Nieder, 71, of Penn Hills died Jan. 7, 2003.
Surviving are her children, Charles, Robert and Kathy Burrell, Francine Henkel and B.J. Wiemer; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Bea Drodge, Ruth Ricketts, Carol Sapanara and Patrick Ricketts.

Pintar
Vencil F. "Vince" Pintar, 83, of Penn Hills died Jan. 7, 2003.
Born in Plum Borough, he was the son of Anton and Antonio (Zupancic) Pintar. Mr. Pintar was a maintenance worker at Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh. He was an avid golfer and member of Universal Moose and St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church.
Surviving is his wife, Jennie (Kastelic) Pintar.
Friends were received at Maurice L. Knee Funeral Home. A service was at St. Gerard Majella Church with the Rev. Brennan officiating. Interment was at Plum Creek Cemetery.
Taylor
Arthur H. Taylor, 73, of Holiday Park died Jan. 12, 2003, at Forbes Regional Hospital.
Born in Pittsburgh, he was a retired security guard.
Surviving are his wife, Theresa Taylor; children, Janice, Julie, Judy, Jane, Jennifer, Jamee, Joan, Jackie, Brian and Bruce; a sister, Janet Smith; brothers, Ken and Melvin Taylor; and seven grandchildren.
Friends will be received 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Gene H. Corl Funeral Home. A service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Our Lady of Joy Church in Holiday Park with the Rev. Robert Cedolia officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Our Lady of Joy Church or YMCA in Plum Borough.
Richards
Edward R. "Bud" Richards, 83, of Plum Borough died Jan. 16, 2003.
He was a past fire chief and member for more than 50 years of Rosedale VFD No. 2, Masonic Lodge No. 799. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a lifelong outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Edwards) Richards.
Surviving are his brother- and sisters-in-law, Robert and Nancy Edwards, and Virginia Bender; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bozich
Patricia A. Bozich, 33, of Monroeville died Nov. 29, 2002.
She was the daughter of Ernest and Josephine (Kubla) Bozich of Plum Borough. Ms. Bozich was a self-employed accountant with her father from 1991 to 1998 at E. J. Bozich Co. She was a graduate of Plum High School and Duquesne University. An avid scuba diver, jet skier, hiker and biker, she loved most forms of exercise. Ms. Bozich also was active in the Spring Run Condo Association in Monroeville.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Mary Jo Armstrong of Erie and her husband, Will; also aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jenkins
Lawrence E. Jenkins Jr., 74, of Plum Borough died Jan. 15, 2003.
Mr. Jenkins was a veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his children, Rebecca Gardone of Penn Hills, Gary Jenkins of Verona; five grandchildren; brother, Donald Jenkins; sister, Dorothy Glowacki.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Davis; and a brother, Kenneth Jenkins.

Cooper
Thomas Ellis Cooper, 78, of Longwood at Oakmont died Jan. 18, 2003.
Mr. Cooper was a retired controller of corporate financial planning and policy for Westinghouse Electric. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena (Michelangelo) Cooper.
Surviving are his children, Lisa (Cooper) Jensen of Oakmont and Kenneth Augustine Cooper of Plum; three grandchildren; sister, Louise Luddy; brothers, Frank and John Cooper.

Carmen D. McGuire, 49, of Apollo died Jan. 20, 2003.
Born in Pittsburgh, he was a laborer with Gregori Construction and Engineering. Mr. McGuire was a member of New Kensington Elks Post 512, Laborers Union 1058 and Our Lady of Joy Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Denise (Vermeulen) McGuire; brothers, Francis, Michael and Timothy McGuire; sister Patricia Soltis.
