Marion H. Bruwelheide, 88, of Penn Hills died Feb. 3, 2003.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Bruwelheide.
Surviving are her daughter, Lynn Fisher; and grandson, Brian Fisher.
A memorial service was at Epiphany Lutheran Church. Arrangements were handled by Charles Trenz Funeral Home.

Jukes
Ronald T. Jukes, 52, of Holiday Park in Plum Borough died Feb. 8, 2003, at Shadyside Hospital.
Born in New Kensington, he was a truck driver.
Surviving are his mother, Frances Jukes; his wife, Patty Jukes; a daughter, Angela McNally; brothers, John and Glen Jukes.
Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Gene H. Corl Funeral Home in Monroeville. A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Corl Chapel. Interment will be private.
Moorhead
Robert C. Moorhead, 71, of Plum Borough, formerly of Murrysville, died Feb. 6, 2003.
Born Nov. 14, 1931, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Walter and Ann (Flesse) Moorhead. Mr. Moorhead was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church in Murrysville.
Surviving his wife of 45 years, Joan (McNeirney) Moorhead; children, Maureen DiPietrantonio of Hatfield, Robert Moorhead Jr. of Richmond, Va., Diane Hubner of Plum, Richard Moorhead of Hanover and Beth Drnjevich of Export; Sister, Betty Glaser; 12 grandchildren.
Friends were received at John T. Hart Funeral Home. Mass was at Mother of Sorrows Church. Interment was at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
Pattison
Mary Jane Pattison, 80, of Plum Borough died Feb. 8, 2003.
Born in Pittsburgh, she was a bookkeeper at People's bank of Unity. Mrs. Pattison was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Pattison.
Surviving are her children, Suzanne and Eugene Wise of Fenelton, Donna and Tim Magerl of Plum and Joan and Rick Auth of Plum; four grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Hafer.
Friends were received at Soxman Funeral Homes. A service will be 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at St. John the Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Backoefer
Ralph Theodore Backoefer, 71, of Penn Hills died Feb. 12, 2003.
He was a retired tool and die maker. Mr. Backoefer was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Alice May (Lake) Backoefer; children, Debbie Lynn Nickel of San Antonio, Texas, and Daniel Ralph Backoefer of North Huntingdon; son-in-law, Kenneth Nickel; daughter-in-law, Sharon Backoefer; and three grandchildren.

Bracco
Zetta R. Bracco, 72, of Plum Borough died Feb. 14, 2003, at Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River, Fla.
Born July 2, 1930, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Martin and Anna Mae (Watkins) Smith.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Donald Bracco; daughters, Beatrice Moon of Dyke, Va., Deborah Caruso of Plum; son, Thomas Spencer of Plum; sister, Elizabeth Schafer; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home. A service will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the funeral home with the Rev. David Matthews officiating. Inter-ment will follow at Plum Creek Cemetery.
Dolence
Steve Dolence, 91, of Renton died Feb. 14, 2003, at UPMC St. Margaret.
Born Dec. 8, 1911, in Pleasant Valley, Pa., he was the son of Peter and Margaret (Podgorsek) Dolence. Mr. Dolence was retired with 48 years as a coal miner at Export, Powhatan (Ohio), Renton, Barking and Saner mines, starting at the age of 16.
He received his mine foreman certificate and worked as section foreman and later with the United Mine Workers. During the ‘60s and’70s, he owned Steve’s Tavern in Penn Hills.
Mr. Dolence enjoyed gardening in his orchard and vegetable plot as well as construction and remodeling. He was instrumental in building the two Dolence funeral homes and helped in their operation.
He was a member of UMWA Local No. 1993 in Penn Hills, life member of Export Moose Lodge No. 234, Center Slovenian Club, Circilo Febo Club of Renton.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Sophie (Hasson) Dolence of Renton; sons, Stephen of Plum and Thomas Dolence of Bridgeville; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Stephen P. Dolence Jr. Funeral Home. Mass was at St. Januarius Church with the Rev. Peter Pilarski officiating. Interment was at Plum Creek Cemetery.
Golia
Louis "Sheriff" Golia, 82, of Penn Hills died Feb. 13, 2003.
He was a retired machinist with Westinghouse and GE. Mr. Golia was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion No. 351.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Catherine (Czolba) Golia and Marie (Nigro) Golia.
Surviving are his children, Caryl Kells of Pylesville, Md., Michael Golia of Monroeville and Richard Adams of Tampa, Fla.; nephews, Michael and Shawn Golia; sisters, Vera Green and Josephine Kabonik; brother, Nicholas Kabonik; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and companion, Jean Fagan.

Hogan
Richard P. Hogan, 60, of Penn Hills died Feb. 10, 2003.
Born Dec. 4, 1942, he was the son of John and Cecelia (McFeeley) Hogan. He was a self-employed insurance and investments advisor with RH Financial. An outstanding football player at Swissvale High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, he was selected All-American and later signed as a free agent with the Detroit Lions.
Mr. Hogan was especially proud of his Irish heritage and enjoyed cooking, tennis and passionately discussing politics.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Hogan; children, Kim Passante, Brian Hogan, Leslie House, Tara Hogan and Patrick Hogan; brother, John Hogan; aunts, Sister Mary Daniel Hogan and Helen Maloney; six grandchildren.

McLaughlin
John M. McLaughlin, 51, of Farmington, N.M., formerly of Plum Borough, died Feb. 9, 2003.
Surviving are his brother, James and George McLaughlin; sister, Leona Duryea.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rita McLaughlin.
Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at Soxman Funeral Homes, Penn Hills.
A service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Plum Creek Cemetery.
