Kostik
John Kostik, 52, of McKeesport died Sept. 30, 2002.
He was a son of Katherine (Margaros) Kostik and Michael "Mickey" Kostik.
Mr. Kostik was a family therapist and a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and Presentation of Christ Greek Orthodox Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Kostik; and a sister, Areta Kostik.
Surviving are his mother, Katherine (Margoros) Kostik of Florida; his wife, Jane (Andrejkanic) Kostik; and daughters, Jennifer Kostik of Lancaster and Carrie Kostik of North Huntingdon.
Service and interment were private. Arrangements were made by Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Auberle Home, Hartman Street, McKeesport, Pa. 15132 or the American Lung Association, 11676 Perry Highway, Suite 2104, Wexford, Pa. 15090.

Shaffer
Marilyn Shaffer, 58, of North Versailles Township died Oct. 4, 2002, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born on Nov. 16, 1943, in Braddock, she was a daughter of Henrietta Bost Shaffer and Richard Shaffer.
Ms. Shaffer was a retired employee of the Department of Navy in Washington, D.C., and a member of the Lions Club of Washington, D.C.
Surviving are her mother, Henrietta Bost Shaffer of North Versailles Township; and brothers, Gary Shaffer of Arlington, Va., and Mark Shaffer of North Versailles Township.
Friends were received at Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home. Service was held at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard Bonds Krug officiating.
Interment was at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park in North Huntingdon.

Anderson
Marie C. Anderson, 92, of Redstone Highlands died April 15, 2001.
Born Jan. 23, 1909, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Newton and Ida Cole. Mrs. Anderson worked 33 years as a legal secretary and office manager with the former Berkman, Ruslander, Pohl, Lieber and Engel law firm.
She was a lifelong member of Highland Presbyterian Church in Ross Township.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Anderson.
Surviving are her daughter, Janet Lonski and her husband, Bryan, of Battle Lake, Minn.; her son, the Rev. Robert Anderson and his wife, Diane, of North Huntingdon; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Shirley-Kukich Funeral Home.
A service will be 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Christ United Presbyterian Church in North Huntingdon.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the memorial fund at Christ United Presbyterian Church, 12727 Lincoln Way, North Huntingdon, Pa. 15642.

Vojtko
Lillian (Crystol) Vojtko, 86, of White Oak and formerly of McKeesport, died Sept. 13, 2001.
Born Sept. 20, 1914 in Latrobe, she was the daughter of Robert G. and Jennie (O'Barto) Crystol Sr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael V. Vojtko; brother, Robert G. "Pooch" Crystol; and sister, Ruby A. "Sis" McLaughlin.
Surviving are a brother, George F. Crystol of North Versailles, and brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home. Mass was at St. Angela Merici Church. Interment was at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Turner
Louise V. (Tauber) Turner, 78, of North Versailles, died Sept. 13, 2001.
Born in Stockdale, Pa., she was the daughter of Otto and Eva (DeShields) Tauber.
She formerly owned Turners Grocery Store in McKeesport and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and East Allegheny AARP.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Turner Sr.
Surviving are sons, John E. Turner Jr. of North Versailles, Marc Turner of Hempfield, Timothy Turner of North Huntingdon, and Daniel Turner of Baldwin; daughter, Deborah Turner of Trenton, N.J.; sisters, Garnet Wilson and Shirley Cortazzo; eight grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Friends were received at Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home. Interment was at Jefferson Memorial Park.

Robinson
Catherine A. Robinson, 79, of Marshall Township died Saturday, Oct. 19, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh after a sudden illness.
Born in Omaha, Neb., on Nov. 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Riha.
She and her husband, the late Robert W. Robinson, whom she married in 1947 and who died on July 6, 1978, were the former owners of Robinson-Ogilvie Moving & Storage in Pittsburgh.
She was one of the original members of St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church in Cranberry Township, where she was a member for more than 40 years.
At the church she also served as a member of parish council, Cordova Club, Catholic Charities for Shut-ins, church festival committee, bereavement ministry, hospital and new parishioners ministry and RCIA.
Her most recent ministry was founding the comfort blanket program and she also taught CCD and Baptismal classes. Catherine was also a girl scout leader and member of the PTA at St. Alphonsus Parish in Wexford.
Surviving are a son, Robert W. Robinson, Jr. of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, four daughters, Bobbi Lebeda of Marshall Township, Kay Robinson of Lafayette, Calif., Rebecca Brown and Monica Robinson, both of Columbus, Ohio, and also eight grandchildren. Also survived by one sister, Mary Curry of St. Joesph, Mo.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Henry and Tony Riha.
Friends were received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home in Mars.
Mass of Christian Burial will take be held in St. Ferdinand Church. Burial was in North Side Catholic Cemetery in Ross Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Blessing Fund for the Catherine Robinson Foundation, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, Pa., 16066.

Wiles
Ralph L. Wiles, 53 of Valencia, died Saturday, July 14, in Oakland VAMC.
Born in Butler, on January 23, 1948, he was the son of Norman G. and Cora M. Dunlap Wiles.
He attended Orchard Hill Church in Franklin Park, was a navy veteran and a member of the National Rifle Association, West Sunbury American Legion and Mars VFW.
A self-employed electrician, he is survived by two daughters, Allison Wiles of St. Paul, Minn. and April Wiles of Minnentonka, Minn.; a special friend, Charlie Settembrino of Mars; two brothers, Dennis Wiles of Meridian, Guy Wiles of Pgh. and one sister, Martha Morrison of West Sunbury as well as three grandchildren.
Friends were received at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home in Mars.
Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park in McCandless.
Memorials may be made to the diabetes association.

Dubbs
Margaret Dubbs, 78, of Bethel Park, formerly of Gibsonia, died on May 24, in Allegheny General Hospital after an illness.
Born in Pittsburgh on Jan. 11, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John and Johanna Stanton Ryan. She was a retired nurses aid from LAS/St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars, and was a member of St. Richard Church in Gibsonia.
Surviving are her husband, Edward Dubbs; one daughter, Patricia Deschamps of Gibsonia; two sons, Edward A. Dubbs of Bethel Park and Kenneth Dubbs of Gibsonia; one sister, Elizabeth Dubbs of Bon Aire; and one brother, John Ryan of Wilkinsburg. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and was preceeded in death by one son, Thomas Dubbs.
Friends were received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home in Mars.
Mass of Christian Burial was at the St. Richard Church Burial was in Holy Savior Cemetary in Richland Township.

Bente
Helen G. Bente, 74, of Cranberry Township, died on June 23, 2002 at Passavant Health Center in Zelienople, after an illness.
She was born in Fergus, Ontario, Canada on July 9, 1927 the daughter of the late John N. and Grace (Groves) Donaldson. She is preceded in death by her husband John A. Bente, who died in 1986.
She had been the activities director at the Eastern Star Home in Bellevue, and prior to that, at the Wexford House Nursing Home.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ellen Synowka of Louisville, Ohio; two sons, John N. Bente of Cranberry Township and David A. Bente of Burnsville, Minn.; a nephew whom she raised, Robert A. Bente of Stephen City, Va.; and eight grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
Private arrangements are being made by the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home in Mars.

Watts
Pearl Watts, 92, formerly of Highland Pines Court in McCandless Township, died Dec. 14, at Sherwood Oaks, Cranberry Township, after an illness. Born in Clearfield County, Pa., on Jan. 23, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Lillian Waring Watts.
She was a retired grade school teacher, teaching at Pine, Adams and Cranberry Township elementary schools. She had also been the editor of "The Weekly Reader, " published by the American Educational Press. Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home in Mars.
A service followed at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Cope, pastor of the Mars Alliance Church, officiating. Burial was in Watts Cemetery in Clearfield County.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1323 Forbes Ave., Suite 200, Pgh., Pa 15219-4725.
