Ernest V. Wall, 89, of Bradenton, Fla., died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, in Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton. In 1985, Mr. Wall moved to Manatee County, Fla., from North Huntingdon. He was born in McKeesport, Jan. 10, 1912. He was a member of the Circleville United Methodist Church in Irwin, and had been employed by U.S. Steel as a roll turner. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Leila Wall. Surviving are three daughters, Virginia Allen of Longboat Key, Fla., Donna Teffera and Linda Davidson, both of Greensburg; a son, Frank E. Wall of Irwin; a brother, John W. James A. McCort, 74, of Glenshaw, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, in Wexford House. He had worked in advertising production for Alcoa. He was born in Pittsburgh, Feb. 19, 1927, son of Lester and Alma (Braun) McCort. Survived by his wife, Virginia (Schaaf) McCort; sons, James R. McCort of Shaler, Scott S. McCort of Mars, and a daughter, Kimberly M. Gavin of Mars; two brothers, Robert B. McCort and Donald B. McCort, both of Pittsburgh; and grandchildren, James T. McCort, Jennifer A. McCort, Megan E. Gavin and Jeffrey M. Gavin; one great-grandchild. Mr. McCort was a member of the McKinley Stuckrath Lodge, 318 F. & A.M. Ellen Clayton Mitchell, 76, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alcuin N. Mitchell and a brother, Robert Clayton. Survived by her loving son, Alcuin R. Mitchell and his wife Dorothy of Ben Avon; grandchildren, Brian and Katie Mitchell of Ben Avon; a sister, Catherine Klepic of New Brighton. Mrs. Mitchell had been the proprietor of Ellen's Book Exchange in Avalon and a member of the Avon Club. Friends invited Thursday and Friday from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ORION C. Judith C. Myers, 58, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001 in the Vincentian Home. Born in Pittsburgh on August 16, 1942, the daughter of Paul Dodson and the late Eileen Lebo Dodson. Mrs. Myers was a registered nurse for UPMC Passavant. Survived by her husband Edward K. Myers; two sons, Jeffrey P. Myers of Cranberry and Derek E. Myers of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Wendy Myers; her father, Paul Dodson; a brother, Gerald P. Dodson of San Francisco, Calif.; a sister, Deborah Woltz of McCandless; and grandchildren, Jared E. and Austin T. Myers. Howard Ostrander, 68, of McKeesport, a former resident of North Huntingdon, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2001. He was born April 27, 1932, in Pawling, N.Y., a son of Kenneth Sr. and Georgia Booth of Sherman, Conn. Mr. Ostrander grew up in Sherman, Conn. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Long Ostrander; and four children. He was preceded in death by two children. Also surviving are two brothers, William Ostrander of Amsterdam, N.Y., and Kenneth Booth of Wingdale, N.Y.; and a sister, Georgia Bouquillon of New Milford, Conn. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Kimberly Clark Company. He was a self-employed carpenter, mechanic, and handyman. Howard served his country in the U.S. Army Infantry. A private memorial service will be held at the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, with Father Joe Burgan officiating.

She was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Marine Corp.
