Helen M. McIlwain, 85, of the Shady Plain section of Kiski Township, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at 1:57 p.m., in Indian Haven Personal Care Center in Indiana, Pa. She was born May 26, 1914, in Echo, Armstrong County, a daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Moore Brice. She had lived in the Kiski Township, Apollo area, for the past 61 years. She had owned and operated the family store, McIlwain's General Store in Shady Plain. She was a member of the Spring Church Lutheran Church in Spring Church, Women's Church Group, Apollo Chapter of the Eastern Star, Spring Church Grange, and Pomona Grange. Also, she was very active in the Armstrong County Republican Party, where she was a committee person for several years; and an avid quilter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ross B. McIlwain, in 1979; and a brother, Norman Brice. Survived by a son, Donald R. McIlwain, of Greensburg; three daughters, Mrs. Merle (Betty) Bier of Kiski Township, Mrs. Doris Altmyer of Mesa, Ariz., and Mrs. Richard (Ruth) Pastula of Indiana, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. at the GERALD J. MEDICE FUNERAL HOME, 604 Moore Ave., North Apollo. The Spring Church Grange will hold a prayer service in the funeral home Saturday evening at 7. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Spring Church Lutheran Church.

Melissa L. (Kraiss) Murrin, formerly of Wilkins Township and Forest Hills, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999. Wife of the late William Z. Murrin. Beloved mother of Howard E. Meyers of Greensburg and Denise L. Macey of West Mifflin. Grandmother of June Kilgore of Apollo, Howard E. Meyers of Sewickley, Janet Miller of Oakmont, Michelle Saleeby and Dale D. Meyers, both of Salisbury, N.C., Heather G. Meyers of Somerset and Alexis Macey of West Mifflin. Also eight great-grandchildren. Friends received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Shaw and Triboro avenues, Turtle Creek, where services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m.

Cynthia L. Antolik-Fiola, 38, of Monroeville, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999. Wife of James V. Fiola of Monroeville. Daughter of Betty Antolik and the late Pete Antolik. Mother of James "Jimbo" Fiola. Sister of Barb Parks of Florida, John Antolik of Turtle Creek, Mary Chris Rogel of Bakerstown, Rick Antolik of Turtle Creek, Patti Schill of Monroeville, Robert Antolik of Turtle Creek and the late Paul and Suzy Antolik. Also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., corner of Shaw and Triboro avenues, Turtle Creek, where services will be Monday at 1 p.m. Cyndi was known to her family and many friends for her sense of humor, love of life, and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
DAVID T. BAKER SR.
David T. Baker Sr., 89, of Saltsburg, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at home. He was born Jan. 12, 1910, in Grapeville, a son of the late John and Henrietta Martz Baker. Prior to retirement, he was a machinist at the Elliott Co. He was a member of the Old Time Fiddler's Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve E. Baker; five brothers, Otis, John, Jesse, Dewey and Calvin Baker; and a sister, Elizabeth Backus. He is survived by six sons, David T. Baker Jr. and his wife, Martha, of Irwin, John D. Baker and his wife, Barbara, of Derry, Ronald J. Baker and his wife, Mary Lou, of Thompson, Ohio, Kenneth L. Baker of Claridge, Robert A. Baker and his wife, Ruth, of Jeannette, and Harold G. Baker and his wife, Mitzi, of Claridge; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Hepler of Mt. Pleasant; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Goodling officiating. Interment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
JACK COWAN SARVER
Jack Cowan Sarver, 77, of North Versailles, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999. A son of the late Percy and Jessie (Cowan) Sarver. Beloved husband of Helen "Honey" (Kukic) Sarver. Dear father of Stephen "Slugger" (Althea) Sarver, Eugene E. "Babe" (Arlene) Sarver, Martin "Marty" (Julie) Sarver, and Nancy (Jack) Steere. Grandfather of Melissa (Raymond) Ascione and J.J. (Theodora) Sarver. Great-grandfather of Madison Louise Ascione. Brother of Percy Eugene (Gerry) Sarver and the late Mary Bevan, Grace Jones, Sylvana Polka and Bert Sarver; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends received at the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until the time of service in the funeral home at noon. Additional services will follow in St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church at 1 p.m. Interment Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles. Mr. Sarver worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator. One of his final projects with Harrison Construction was a special project at Lakewood Country Club.
STEPHEN J. MUSINSKY
Stephen J. Musinsky, 85, of East McKeesport, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999. He was a retired employee of U.S. Steel, Irvin Works. He was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, East McKeesport, and a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Racko Musinsky; and his second wife, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Busija Musinsky. He is survived by his wife, Emily Smith Musinsky; a son, Gerald of Germany; a daughter, Anna Marie Blawas of Berea, Ohio; a stepson, Stephen Smith of McKeesport; five stepdaughters, Leslie Mathis of Butler, Mary Beth Drakulic of Level Green, Susan Kirkpatrick of North Versailles, Teri Kratochvil of Level Green and Kim Varacalli of North Huntingdon; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. John Musinsky of Italy; and two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Zamborsky of West Mifflin and Ann Fudalla of Munhall. Friends will be received at the FORGIE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at noon in St. Robert Bellarmine Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Port Vue.

George L. Grimm, 66, of Connellsville, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at his home. Friends will be received at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, with the Rev. John Butler as celebrant. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. A parish wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

George A. Jordan Jr., 45, of Dravosburg, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was born Jan. 6, 1954, in Homestead, a son of Audrey Shepherd Jordan of Munhall and the late George A. Jordan Sr. George was a former owner of Club Gemini in Dravosburg. He is also survived by two sisters, Audrey Barbaris of Mechanicsville, Md., and Robin Hutchison of McKeesport; seven brothers, Robert of McKeesport, Ronald of Dravosburg, Bryan and Richard, both of Port Vue, Michael of McKeesport, Gary of West Mifflin and Larry of Munhall; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at STRIFFLERS' OF DRAVOSBURG/WEST MIFFLIN, Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel Monday at 11 a.m. with Father Dennis Colamarino officiating.
