Born Dec. 17, 1916, in Trenton, N.J., a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Vincz, she had been employed as a clerk at Roberts Clothing in Ambridge for 30 years. She was a member of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church, Aliquippa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Pelino; two brothers, John and Michael Vincz, and two sisters, Mary Payne and Dorothy Vincz. Surviving are three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mrs. Dolores Chilli, Center Township; Margaret and Don Santagata, and Helen Husted, Miami, Fla., and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the DARROCH MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, where a blessing service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
Louise H. Turner, 71, of Ohioville, died Sunday afternoon, Feb. 28, 1999, in her home following a brief illness. Born June 8, 1927, in Washington County, Pa., a daughter of the late Marion C. and Hannah Hutchison, she was a resident of Ohioville for the past 39 years. She retired in 1992 as cafeteria manager for the Western Beaver School District after over 25 years of service. She was a member of the Clarksville Christian Church, Clarksville, Pa., and attended the Fairview Reformed Presbyterian Church P.C.A., Ohioville. She was also a member of the Fairview Grange and Lady Clark Rebekah Lodge 191, Clarksville, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren C. Turner, on June 11, 1980. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel W. and Susan Turner, Brighton Township, and David C. and Cindy Turner, Imperial; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca L. and Dominic A. D'Egidio, Ohioville; five grandchildren, Rachael, Leigh, Drew, Vincent and Deanna; a brother, Emmett Hutchison, Lorraine, Ohio, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Litman, Waynesburg, Pa. Visitation and services will be private. The Rev. Richard Raines, pastor of the Fairview Reformed Presbyterian Church P.C.A., will officiate. Interment will take place in Beaver Cemetery, Beaver. Mary S. Wasko, 101, formerly of Ambridge, died Monday, March 1, 1999, in the Beaver Valley Nursing Center, Chippewa Township. Born Nov. 17, 1897, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Mary Dzurille Shulick, she was a member of the former Divine Redeemer Catholic Church and was a former member of the Rosary Society of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Wasko, on Jan. 13, 1930; three brothers, John Shulick Jr., on Dec. 28, 1996; John G. Shulick, in October 1968, and Andrew Shulick, in November 1956, and a sister, Susan Shulick, in November 1942. Surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the PAUL E. BOHN FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in the Good Samaritan Parish, St. Stanislaus Worship Site. Mary Ballish, 96, of Monaca, died Tuesday evening, March 2, 1999. Born Oct. 29, 1902, in Trager, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Anna Vansack Yendrek. A homemaker, Mrs. Ballish was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Monaca, and the Christian Mothers of the church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ballish, on May 18, 1963; a granddaughter, Patricia Weigle, in 1983; five brothers, and four sisters. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James and Betty Ballish, and two daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and James Mooney, and Rose and Frank Lyons, all of Monaca; a brother, George Yendrek, Brookville, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be welcome today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in BATCHELOR BROTHERS MONACA, 998 Atlantic Ave., where prayers will be offered Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Betty J. Snitger Brashears, 82, of Monacatootha Apartments, Monaca, formerly of Marion Hill, New Brighton, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in The Medical Center, Beaver, following a brief illness. Born Nov. 25, 1916, in Beaver, a daughter of the late Howard Vernon and Catherine Vanard Snitger, she had been a resident of Monaca since 1989 having formerly resided in New Brighton. She retired in 1992 as a counter clerk at DeAngelis Donut Shops after 38 years of service, and was a 1935 graduate of Beaver High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Brashears Sr., on March 7, 1977; a son, Robert C. Brashears Jr., on June 14, 1986, and a brother, Robert Snitger. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John H. and Pam Brashears, Moody, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lois Brashears, Brighton Township; a brother, James H. Snitger, Beaver; a sister, Mrs. Gloria Nudi, Freedom; four grandchildren, Mark Brashears, Waldorf, Md.; Robin Brashears, Ocean City, Md., and Rebecca and Amanda Brashears, Mesa, Ariz., and two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Marisa Brashears, Waldorf, Md. Melanee "Polly" Cobb, 85, of 717 Grove St., Aliquippa, died Monday, March 1, 1999, in UPMC - Beaver Valley. Born Nov. 17, 1913, in Bluffton, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Emma Cowart Moore and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Triedstone Baptist Church since 1925, where she served as a deaconess, a member of the senior choir, Missionary Society, Adult Sunday School Class, Church Floral Club, Senior Ministry and was chairman of the Kitchen Committee. She was a former member of the Augumented Chorus and was a Linkage volunteer at Aliquippa Hospital. She was a 1932 graduate of Woodlawn High School and attended the Community College of Beaver County, where she received her certification in upholstery. A well known seamstress, she worked in three cleaning establishments in Aliquippa and had a flourishing business in her home. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Hale, and her second husband, Julius Cobb, in 1984. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Willa Erma "Toog" and Andrew Jackson, Aliquippa; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles Hale, Aliquippa, and Allan and Dorothy Cobb, Pittsburgh; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Wilbert (Rita) Singletary, Aliquippa; five grandchildren, Ellese, Joyce and Andrew Jackson Jr., and Serita Morris, all of Aliquippa, and Kenyatta Sublet, Beaver Falls; five great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Downing, and Mrs. Annie Cobb, all of Aliquippa; Mr. and Mrs. Kirby Taylor, and Charles Cobb, all of Englewood, N.J., and Mrs. Jewel Dean, Washington, D.C.; very close friends, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Price, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Henry, Earlena Powell, Minnie Robertson, John Alexander, Pauline Heard, Mary Morris, Grace Simmons and Delores Jones, all of Aliquippa; Arvil Vreen, Beaver Falls, and Eltyna Dickson and Jimmy Powell, both of Oakland, Calif., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Judith Elizabeth Corbin, 28, a lifelong resident of Big Beaver, died Monday, March 1, 1999, in the emergency room of The Medical Center, Beaver. Born March 26, 1970, in Beaver Falls, a daughter of Ralph Corbin and Ella Mae Lindsay Corbin, of Big Beaver, she was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are paternal grandparents, Ralph A. and Evelyn Marie Toth Corbin, Darlington Township; maternal grandfather, John Lindsay, Big Beaver; a sister, Rachel Anne Corbin, at home, and aunts and uncles, John Lindsay, Marcella Urgitus, Mary Hall, Betty Roush, Marlene Market, Kenneth Corbin and Judy Lindner. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ethel Lindsay, and an uncle, James Lindsay. Virginia Irene Cunnard, 82, formerly of Leetsdale, died Monday, March 1, 1999, in the Valley Care Nursing Home. Born Sept. 23, 1916, in Sewickley, a daughter of the late Jacob Greuey and Savilla Fye Greuey, she lived in the Sewickley area all of her life and had attended Edgeworth, Sewickley and Leetsdale schools. Mrs. Cunnard attended Chesebrough Seminary in North Chili, N.Y., for two years, was a retired licensed practical nurse from the Sewickley Valley Hospital, where she worked for 16 years. She was a member of the Sewickley Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for 43 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Cunnard, on May 11, 1983. Surviving are four sons, John J. Cunnard, Economy; Walter David Cunnard and David Russell Cunnard, both of Glenfield, and Kenneth Allen Cunnard, Ambridge; 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Catherine M. Dugan, 79, a 13-year resident of Moon Township and formerly of Oakdale, died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in Mariner Health Care Center of West Hills. Born July 20, 1919, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (McGuigan) Gottschalk, she was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent C. Dugan; a daughter, Patricia Altieri, and three sisters, Dorothy Merendino, Flora Keitchen, and Betty Gottschalk. Surviving are five children, James Dugan, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Margaret Regalski, Pittsburgh; John Dugan, Aliquippa; Kathleen Regalski, Moon Township, and Mary Skoff, McDonald, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
