Holcomb, at home; Michael A. and Karen Holcomb, Baden, and David G. and Beth Holcomb, Woodbridge, Va.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Kay Dugan, and Edward and Sandra Dugan, all of Ambridge; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Eleanor Gillies, Los Alamitos, Calif., and Doris and Willie Yuchinsky, Kissimmee, Fla., and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl G. Holcomb, on Nov. 11, 1985, and a sister, Ann Holcomb. Edith Jean Porter Hostutler, 62, of Daugherty Township, died early Wednesday, March 3, 1999. Born April 9, 1936, in New Cumberland, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lawrence and Stella Marie Porter, she was a member of the Sylvania Hills Baptist Church, Rochester. Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Gerald Hostutler; four sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Cindy Hostutler, Houston, Texas; Robert and Cynthia Hostutler, Baden; Rick and Barbara Hostutler, Rochester, and Dave and Victoria Hostutler, New Brighton; a daughter, Tracy Hostutler, Patterson Township; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Eric, Kellie, Justin, Holly, Ricky, Mindy, David, Ashley and Samantha; two brothers, Carl and Eugene Porter, both of New Cumberland, W.Va., and two sisters, Martha Boggs, Irondale, Ohio, and Betty Lou Rossi, New Cumberland, W.Va. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Evelyn Hoder, Thelma Dimino, Lucille Narcavish and Ruth Edgell, and two brothers, William and Charles Porter. James LaRitz, 68, of 1122 Beaver Ave., Ellwood City, died March 2, 1998, in the Ellwood City Hospital. Born Dec. 8, 1930, in Ellwood City, a son of the late Samuel and Antoinette LaRitz, he formerly worked at the Babcock & Wilcox Tubular Products Co., West Mayfield. Surviving are his wife, Thelma Patterson LaRitz; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Donnie Zimmerman, and Terri and John Wilcox; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Cevilla Patterson; three grandchildren, and two brothers and two sisters, John and Eugene LaRitz, and Mrs. William (Charlene) Shaffer, all of Ellwood City and Mrs. Harold (Judy) Davis, Rochester. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME, Sixth Street at Park Avenue, Ellwood City, where services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Anna V. Pelino, 82, a resident of Ambridge for 40 years, died Tuesday morning, March 2, 1999, in the Ohio Valley Hospital. Born Dec. 17, 1916, in Trenton, N.J., a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Vincz, she had been employed as a clerk at Roberts Clothing in Ambridge for 30 years. She was a member of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church, Aliquippa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Pelino; two brothers, John and Michael Vincz, and two sisters, Mary Payne and Dorothy Vincz. Surviving are three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mrs. Dolores Chilli, Center Township; Margaret and Don Santagata, and Helen Husted, Miami, Fla., and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A blessing service will be held today at 11 a.m. in the DARROCH MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
David V. Ramsey, 79, of Frankfort Springs, died Monday, March 1, 1999, in his home. Born April 11, 1919, in Hanover Township, Washington County, a son of the late Harlan and Iona May Carson Ramsey, he was a graduate of Burgettstown High School and was a member of the Hebron United Presbyterian Church, Clinton, where he served as an elder. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Air Force in England and Germany. He was held as a Prisoner of War for 18 months in Germany. His wife, Lucille Erwin Ramsey, whom he married April 21, 1960, died in February 1995. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harry, James and Charles Ramsey. Surviving are five nephews, Carl Ramsey, Kingsland, Texas; Richard Ramsey, Denver, Colo.; Robert and Bruce Ramsey, both of Burgettstown, and Howard Ramsey, Hookstown. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the WELCH FUNERAL HOME, Hookstown, where the Rev. George C. Robbins, 82, of New Brighton, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Born Feb. 22, 1917, in Rochester, a son of the late Clarence A. and Mathilda Werner Robbins, he was a retired employee of Colt Industries, Midland. He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Brighton; Edith Lodge 812 IOOF, and Harrison Graham Encampment 116, both of Freedom. A veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Force, he was a member of Anderson-Adkins American Legion Post 19, New Brighton, and was a former member of the New Brighton Lions Club and the New Brighton Fire Department Police. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth E. Powell Robbins, on April 5, 1993. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Pamela J.) Cox, Beaver, and Eleanor Rossi, Dayton, Ohio; a friend, Sue Brewer, Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren, Douglas Cox, Donna Cox and Christene Cox, all of New Brighton; Paul Rossi II, Beaver, and Rory and Margo Rossi, Augsburgh, Germany; four great-grandchildren; a brother, William A. Theda M. "Tizzy" (Schmidley) Ruby, 70, of Lancaster Township, died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, in Butler Memorial Hospital, Butler. Born Feb. 13, 1929, in Rochester, a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Geneva (Trimber) Schmidley, she had been employed as a waitress by Frank Lamb's Zelienople Restaurant for 20 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Church of Harmony. She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. "Jim" Ruby, who died Sept. 7, 1995; a son; a daughter; a granddaughter, and a brother. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Neva) McClymonds, Cranberry Township, and Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Sipes, Butler; four sons, Edward L. Ruby, Butler; Wayne O. Ruby and John L. Ruby, both of Harmony, and Donald C. Ruby, New Castle; a brother Robert Schmidley, Rochester; 12 grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters. Steven C. Brocius, 77, of Beaver Falls, died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Born Dec. 4, 1921, in Summerville, Pa., a son of the late Ira B. and Lyda A. Keth Brocius, he was a resident of Pittsburgh prior to moving to Beaver Falls in 1986. He retired from the St. Regis Paper Co. in 1985; was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army Air Force on Saipan and the Pacific Theater, and was a member of the American Legion Post 5 in Pittsburgh. He is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Victor J. Mannarino, Beaver Falls, and Olive Katherine and Vaughn Fowler, New Kensington, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers, Thelma Garrett, Maxine Bain, Georgia Petrella, Jack Brocius and William Brocius. Thelma Estel, 79, of Raccoon Township, died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in Golfview Manor, following a brief illness. Born July 10, 1919, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Neff Illig, she was a member of the Service United Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Estel; two sons, George Smalley, Kansas City, Mo., and James Smalley, Chester; two stepsons, Jack Estel, Independence Township, and Terry Estel, Raccoon Township; a daughter, Donna Beabout, Chester, a stepdaughter, Bonnie Ross, Raccoon Township; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one great-great grandchild, three brothers, and a sister. Phyllis Louise Aston Hall, 68, of Sewickley, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, in her home. Born Oct. 25, 1930, in Sewickley, a daughter of the late Edward Phillip and Margaret Johnson Aston, she was a retired nurse from the Sewickley Valley Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Essie C. Hall, in 1959. Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Hall Mosley, Sewickley, and Sylvia Hall Booker, McKees Rocks; her grandmother, the Rev. Ocie Johnson, and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the RICHARD D. COLE FUNERAL HOME, 328 Beaver St., Sewickley. The Rev.
