Eileen Powers Soman, 73, of Fair Oaks, Pa., went to be with Her Lord, and husband Charles, on Friday, March 5, 1999, after losing a hard fought battle with cancer in her home. Born Nov. 7, 1925, in North Braddock, Pa., a daughter of the late Walter and Catherine McQuigen Powers, she had lived in the Quaker Valley area for 60 years. She was a former employee of Bethlehem Steel; a member of Good Samaritan Parish, and also the former Divine Redeemer Catholic Church. She was a member of the Christian Mothers of the church. She was a homemaker, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed any and all sports that either her children or her grandchildren participated in. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Soman, March 8, 1988, and a brother, Jack Powers, in 1988. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Chuck Jr. and Laura Soman, Fair Oaks, and Terry Soman, at home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Raymond (Charleen) Bolea, Moon Township, and Mrs. Jonathan (Alicia) Armstrong, Coraopolis; a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Ruth Powers, St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Betty Lou Powers Megos, in Connecticut; a sister-in-law, Elsie Sevcik, Hopewell Township, and 11 grandchildren, Zachary, Allison and Tayler Bolea; Emily, Jonathan and Racheal Armstrong; Brian and Mitchell Soman, and Cassie, Ashley and Samantha Soman. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the PAUL E. BOHN FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be conducted Monday at 9:30, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Veronica Worship Site. Dora Virginia Thomas, 79, of Beaver Falls, died Friday, March 5, 1999, in her residence. Born March 18, 1919, in Little Beaver Township, Lawrence County, a daughter of the late Frank Wesley and Margaret (Cameron) Stratton, she retired as a manager for Stanley Products after 49 years. She was a member of the Merrick Art Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Little Beaver Historical Society. She was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church, Beaver Falls, and was an honorary life member of the Beaver Falls Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Thomas Jr., on Aug. 20, 1998; a son, William H. Thomas III; a brother; a half-brother, and two sisters. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Lloyd (Bonnie Jean) Kildoo, New Castle, and Mrs. Scott (Ann) Arnold, Saco, Maine; a son, Kenneth Robert Thomas, Beaver Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Dave (Hilda) Keeton, Beaver Falls; Mrs. Richard (Sylvia) Cox, New Waterford, Ohio, and Mrs. Wilma Vincent, in Ohio; a brother, Charles Stratton, in Ohio; two half-brothers, Jack and Edward Clouds, both of Beaver Falls; a nephew, John Fiorenza, who was raised by William an Dora; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. June Casuccio, 61, of Hopewell Township, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, after an extended illness. Born May 11, 1937, in Rochester, a daughter of the late Lula (Wattenpool) Steffler, she was a graduate of Freedom High School, and a member of St. Titus Catholic Church, Aliquippa. Mrs. Casuccio was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, and a proud grandmother who will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband, Vito Casuccio; a son, Robert Casuccio; a daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Kevin Whitehead; two loving grandchildren, Ashley and Anthony Casuccio, all of Hopewell Township; a stepbrother, Charles Stevenson, New Sewickley Township; her mother-in-law, Grace Casuccio, Aliquippa; four sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law, Josephine Kesow, Aliquippa; Ann and Mike Gima, Center Township; Angelo Casuccio, Aliquippa; Carol and Joseph Cerneskie, Hopewell Township, and Joseph and Novina Casuccio, Raccoon Township; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and two dear friends, Patricia Ritchey, Aliquippa, and Donna Nolfi, in Maryland. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Angelo Casuccio. Jessie G. Claypole, 87, of Moon Township, died Friday, March 5, 1999, in Mariner Nursing Home of West Hills, Moon Township. Born Aug. 12, 1911, in Rockcave, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Jake and Florence (Riley) Trusler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon Claypole, in 1973; a son, Herbert Claypole; a daughter, Florence Claypole; a grandson, Arthur Miller, and two brothers, Charles and Ralph Trusler. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Maurice and Marcie Claypole, Aliquippa; Kenneth Claypole, Clymer, Pa., and Gary and Coreen Claypole, Hopewell Township; a daughter, Veda Miller, Amsterdam, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. A service will be conducted today at 2:30 p.m. in the WAYNE N. TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME, 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, with Pastor Ted Dennis officiating. Irene C. Csiszar, 78, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Barclay Hill Road, Beaver, died Saturday, March 6, 1999, in Kane Regional Center, Scott Township. Born July 10, 1920, in Granville, Pa., a daughter of the late Dino and Inez Vezzosi Frati, she had been the co-owner of the former Midland Electric Store, and was a member of St. Blaise Parish Family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Michael Csiszar Jr., on April 28, 1981. She is survived by a son, Gabriel Randall Csiszar, Beaver; two daughters, Mrs. Scott (Bernice) Bowes, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Gary (Katherine) Mann, Lebanon, and two granddaughters, Lori and Kimberly Bowes, Pittsburgh. William F. Kaylor, 70, of Center Township, passed away Sunday, March 7, 1999, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Marilyn G. Krzemienski, 69, died Saturday, March 6, 1999, at her residence. Born Jan. 20, 1930, in New Brighton, a daughter of the late Carl H. Wolf and Gertrude Winters Wolf, she was a lifetime resident of Beaver Falls. She was formerly employed with the Babcock and Wilcox Tubular Products Division, and the City of Beaver Falls. She was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church, and volunteered for the Beaver County Association of the Blind in Beaver Falls, the Beaver Falls Youth Baseball Association, and the Anna Roush Homemaker of the Blind. She is survived by her husband, Ted A. Krzemienski; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy Kozora, Bridgewater, and Candy and Steve Bomberger, North Sewickley Township; an aunt, Laura Brooks, Cleveland, Ohio, and seven grandchildren, Melissa Marsh, Heather Marsh, Jaylynn Bomberger, and Sabrina Bomberger, all of North Sewickley Township, and Jennalynn Kozora, Meagan Kozora, and Ryan Kozora, all of Bridgewater. She was preceded in death by her parents. Faye Ann Lako, 47, of County Airport Road, East Liverpool, Ohio, died Thursday, March 4, 1999, in her residence. Born Nov. 18, 1951, in Salem, Ohio, a daughter of John and Loretta Dugan Falkner, Rodgers, Ohio, she was self-employed, owning her own cleaning service. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, William R. Lako; a daughter and son-in-law, Marsha Ann and Robert James Whitlatch II, Weirton, W.Va.; a grandson, Robert James Whitlatch; five brothers, Jerry Falkner, in Florida; Gary Falkner, in Pennsylvania; Ed Falkner, in Georgia, and Raymond Falkner and John Falkner Jr., both in Ohio; a sister, Trudy Mitchell, in California, and her best friends, John and Donna Relich, Monaca. Primio Lalama, 70, of Aliquippa, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in UPMC-Beaver Valley. Born Oct. 26, 1928, in Pacentro, Italy, he was the son of the late Concezio and Bambina (Peluso) Lalama, and was very proud to become a United States Citizen. Mr. Lalama was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church; M.P.I. Club; S.O.I. Club 305; Ukrainian Club, and the Celtics Red Club, all of Aliquippa. He was a retired employee of Shenango, Neville Island, where he worked as a chipper. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Lalama, Aliquippa; two sons and daughters-in-law, and four daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Jesus Mora, Valencia, Venezuala; Fanny and Greg LoPinto, Robinson Township; Concezio (James) and Diane Lalama, Aliquippa; Primo F. and MaryJane Lalama, Aliquippa; Bina and Patrick Vedro, Center Township, and Brenda and Chris Colalella, Aliquippa. In addition to his children, he is also survived by seven loving grandchildren; a sister, Rose Pelino, in Michigan; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Catherine Lalama, Hopewell Township, and several nieces and nephews. John M. "Jungie" Malackanich, 57, of Hopewell Township, died Friday, March 5, 1999, in his home. Born Sept. 17, 1941, in West Aliquippa, a son of the late John and Elizabeth Pegula Malackanich, he was a conductor with Conrail. He was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and was an avid fisherman. Surviving are his wife, Louise Morgan Malackanich; four sons, John, Beaver Falls; Gregory, Meriden, Conn., and Brian and Shawn, both of Aliquippa; a daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Don Marovich, Baden; five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, Alexander, Alexis, Dustin, Corey, Jenna, Kelli, Kirsten, and Joseph, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dolores and Dominic Minnici, Center Township, and Rosemarie and Anthony DiSanzo, Freedom. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Malackanich, and a sister, Pauline.
