Robert F. Cory, 87, of Chippewa Township, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Born Nov. 18, 1911, in Gas City, Ind., a son of the late Floyd and Clara Burgess Cory, he was an automobile dealer for Cory Oldsmobile and Cadillac in Beaver Falls. He was a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church; Parian Lodge 662 F&AM, and Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. A graduate of Bethany College, he served on the Bethany College Board of Trustees, Emeritus, and was a former president of the Beaver Falls Chamber of Commerce. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine M. "Kitty" Cory. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Clare C. Henneman, LaCrosse, Wis., and Brooke C. and J.C. Moorhead, Vienna, Va.; four grandchildren, Douglas H. Henneman, Cory Henneman Barnes, and Robert J. and Russell C. Moorhead, and four great-grandchildren. Charles S. DeVinney, 85, of New Brighton, died Monday, March 8, 1999, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Born Jan. 13, 1914, in Fallston, a son of the late Philip and Flora Weigel DeVinney, he was retired from Townsend Textron in Ellwood City after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Beaver County Sr. Citizens Area 6, F.O.E. 1883, New Brighton; Beaver County Retired Men's Club, New Brighton; AARP 25 Year Club, New Brighton Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years, New Brighton Area School Board for three terms, and a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, New Brighton. He is survived by his wife, Jean J. Wilson DeVinney; a son, Bruce DeVinney, Patterson Heights; a brother, Paul DeVinney, New Brighton, and a sister, JoAnn Majzlik, New Brighton. He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip W. DeVinney; a brother, Robert DeVinney, in 1984, and three sisters, Grace Majzlik, in 1974; Edith Funkhouser, in 1978, and Ruth Scheidemantle, in 1998. John F. Kenny, 85, of Beaver Falls, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Born June 22, 1913, in Cannelton, Pa., a son of the late Patrick Andrew and Alma Majors Kenny, he retired from Babcock and Wilcox, Beaver Falls, in 1975 as a furnace operator in the Cold Drawn Department. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Beaver Falls, where he was an usher for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida May Barr Kenny, on Sept. 12, 1983. Surviving are his children, Mrs. Virginia (Robert) King, Sarasota, Fla.; Mr. James S. Kenny, in Washington; Mrs. Patricia (Richard) Dixon, South Beaver Township; Mrs. Loretta (Edward) Scharrenberg, Penn Hills, Pa., and Mr. John E. (Debroah) Kenny, Kansas City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Primio Lalama, 70, of Aliquippa, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in UPMC-Beaver Valley. Born Oct. 26, 1928, in Pacentro, Italy, he was the son of the late Concezio and Bambina (Peluso) Lalama, and was very proud to become a United States Citizen. Mr. Lalama was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church; M.P.I. Club; S.O.I. Club 305; Ukrainian Club, and the Celtics Red Club, all of Aliquippa. He was a retired employee of Shenango, Neville Island, where he worked as a chipper. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Lalama, Aliquippa; two sons and daughters-in-law, and four daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Jesus Mora, Valencia, Venezuala; Fanny and Greg LoPinto, Robinson Township; Concezio (James) and Diane Lalama, Aliquippa; Primo F. and MaryJane Lalama, Aliquippa; Bina and Patrick Vedro, Center Township, and Brenda and Chris Colalella, Aliquippa. In addition to his children, he is also survived by seven loving grandchildren; a sister, Rose Pelino, in Michigan; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Catherine Lalama, Hopewell Township, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lalama was preceded in death by an infant sister, Rose Lalama, and his brother-in-law, Frank Pelino. Josephine Verner Lucente, 87, of the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center, Brighton Township, and formerly of Beaver, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Born Sept. 27, 1911, in Moon Run, Pa., a daughter of the late James and Carmella Atessano Verner, she was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milly T. Lucente, in 1975; a daughter, Phyllis Geronimo, in 1988; a brother, Joseph Verner, and five sisters, Frances Lombardo, Theresa Perciavalle, Mary DiCello, Betty DiBiaggo, and Rose Colorito. L. Austin Malone, 85, a Moon Township resident since 1952, died Monday, March 8, 1999. Born Oct. 12, 1913, in Burgettstown, Pa., a son of the late Walter Earl and Elsa Mable (Miller) Malone, he retired in 1977 after 37 years from Dravo Corporation as Director of MIS. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis; F&AM Lodge 674, and Dravo Seniors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Shope Malone, on June 26, 1997. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, H. Bradley and Elaine Malone, Marietta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Carrie Malone, Smyrne, Ga., and Neil Malone, Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Irene Linton, New Athens, Ohio, and Belle Howard, Burgettstown, and two brothers, Raymond and Marion Malone, both of Burgettstown. Joseph Patrick McGowan, 61, of Daugherty Township, died unexpectedly, Monday, March 8, 1999, in his home. Born Dec. 27, 1937, in Pittsburgh, he was raised by the late John P. and Eugenia (Acker) McGowan Sr. He was a resident of Daugherty Township all of his life, where he worked the farm, and was a member of the Catholic Community of Holy Family Parish, New Brighton. Surviving are a brother, John P. McGowan Jr., Daugherty Township; two sisters, Edna Namola, Beaver Falls, and Madonna Thompson, Titusville; two sisters-in-law, Harriet McGowan and LaRue McGowan, both of Daugherty Township, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Geneva McGowan, and two brothers, Louis and George McGowan. Rose (Mihalishen) Michelosen, 97, of Ambridge, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, in the Valley Care Nursing Home, Aleppo Township. Born Feb. 18, 1902, in Galitizia, Poland, she was a member of St. Peter and Paul Ukranian Catholic Church, Ambridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Michelosen, on Jan. 28, 1983. Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law, Stella and Paul Nakonezny, West View, Pa., and Ann Michelosen and Catherine Michelosen, both at home, and a granddaughter, Rosemary, and her husband, Fulton Miklos, Pittsburgh.
