Dorothy J. (Doris) Kurhansky, 63, of Industry, was called home to be with her Lord after a brief illness, Friday, Feb. 12, 1999. Born April 20, 1935, in Rochester, a daughter of Mildred Vuynovich Siget, Rochester, and the late Ivan Siget, she was a retired employee of the the Westinghouse Corporation, Vanport, with 35 years service. She was a member of St. Blaise Roman Catholic Church, Midland, and was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary B.P.O.E. 283, Rochester. Mrs. Kurhansky was a very active member in numerous functions of the Rochester Elks. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Norman S. Kurhansky; five daughters and three sons-in-law, David and Johnna Milliken, Aliquippa; John and Michaelene Van Dine, Vevay, Ind.; George and Audra Thomas, Charlotte, N.C.; Ms. Rae Lynn Kurhansky, Lexington, Ky., and Ms. Norma Jean Kurhansky, Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren, Taylor and Corey Milliken, Aliquippa; Olyvia Ivanne Thomas, Charlotte, N.C., and Samuel and Jacob Kurhansky, Lexington, Ky.; three brothers and four sisters-in-law, Steve and Stella Siget, Rochester; Joseph and Dorothy Siget, Conway; Mike and Sophia Siget, Center Township, and Helen Siget, Rochester; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Roy and Diana Bigler, Murrysville, Pa., and Verdane and Mary Ann Brown, Rochester Township, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, John J. Siget Sr., in 1996. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC. 349 Adams St., Rochester. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Rochester. Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Cemetery, Daugherty Township.

Irene D. Cain McClellan, 46, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in her home. Born Aug. 16, 1953, in Rochester, a daughter of the late Harold and Julia Hart Cain, she joined Triedstone Baptist Church at the tender age of six, and later moved her membership to Bethel Baptist Church where she was a former member of the choir. Mrs. McClellan was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, George McClellan; a brother, Charles Cain, and her grandmother, Ethel Hart. Surviving are four daughters, Julia Rae Cain, Baltimore, Md.; Michelle McClellan, Jessica McClellan, and Jalyssa Cain, all of Aliquippa; one son, Brian McClellan, Aliquippa; four brothers and a sister-in-law, John Cain, Detroit, Mich., Calvin Cain, Baltimore, Md.; Benjamin and Joycelyn Cain, Flint, Mich., Harold N. Cain, Aliquippa; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Jo Ann and William Jeter, Diane Clarit, and Belinda Cain, all of Laurel, Md.; an aunt and uncle, Aldine and Elliott Jeter, Aliquippa; a cousin, Yvette Walker El Amin, Detroit, Mich.; 10 nieces, 10 nephews, 12 great-nieces, 16 great-nephews, and one great-great-nephew; special friends, Perrette Cooper, Hartford, Conn.; S. Edward Thompson, Aliquippa; Mamie Kimbrough, Aliquippa, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Triedstone Baptist Church, Aliquippa, where a service will be held today at 11 a.m. by her nephew, the Rev. Lamont Cain. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Aliquippa. GOODEN AND BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 214 Fifth Ave., Aliquippa is in charge of arrangements.

Sara E. Estermyer Ong, 89, a lifetime resident of the Beaver Falls area, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Born Oct. 23, 1909, in Beaver Falls, a daughter of the late Louis J. Estermyer and Sara Ellen Gould Estermyer, she worked for the Beaver Falls postal service during World War II and was Catholic by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert R. Ong, on Jan. 22, 1996; six brothers, Lewis, John, Charles, Richard, Wilber and Clarence Estermyer, and three sisters, Lillian Estermyer, Helen Irwin, and Florence Murray. Surviving are are two daughters and a son-in-law, Phyllis Aluseo, Patterson Heights, and Joann S. Andrews and her husband, Charles, Patterson Heights; four grandchildren, Susan Basile and her husband, John, New Brighton; William Bell and his wife, Joan, New Brighton; C. Mark Andrews, Patterson Heights, and J. Eric Bell, Patterson Heights; five great-grandchildren, William Basile and his wife, Tina; Robert Basile; John David Basile; William Bell, and Corey Bell. Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LUTTON BEAVER FALLS FUNERAL HOME, 1117 Fifth Ave., where a service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Kenneth Chorle of the Calvary Presbyterian Church, Beaver Falls, will officiate. Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery.

Mary Ellen (Potts) Roney, 67, of Robinson Township, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in the Forbes Hospice, Pittsburgh. Born Dec. 27, 1931, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Isaac and Emily Forker Potts, she was employed as a travel clerk in the Transportation Department of the U.S. Navy and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Robinson Township. Surviving are her husband, Benedict J. Roney; two daughters, Linda Bernard, Ohioville, and Kathy VanDusen, Sewickley; a son, John Roney, Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren; two brothers, James Potts, Palmer, Mass., and Edward Potts, Glenshaw; four sisters, Rachel Hysong, Glenshaw; Grace Holland, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Janie Heinze, Glenshaw, and Helen Felsenthal, Philadelphia, Pa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Potts. Friends will be received Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Rd., Kennedy Township. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Robinson Township. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township.

Charles "Tubby" Wallace Sr., 75, of Darlington, formerly of Short Creek, W.Va., died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in his residence. Born July 26, 1923, in Short Creek, a son of the late Charlie Wallace and Josephine Martin Wallace, he was a steelworker and was employed at Babcock and Wilcox for 23 years and had worked for Weirton Steel for 12 years. He was Protestant by faith; an Army veteran of World War II; and was a former member of the L.M.B.A. and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8106, both in New Galilee. Surviving are his wife, Pauline A. Ennis Wallace; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Charles "Lou" Robert Wallace Jr. and his wife, Darlene, Darlington; Lester Lee Wallace and his wife, Kathie, New Galilee, and Clifford Wayne Wallace, Chippewa Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia A. Ebersberger and her husband, Donald, Darlington; seven grandchildren, Leroy Shoaff Jr., Michele Shoaff, Jimmy Wallace, Clifford Wallace, Rachelle Wallace, Matt Wallace, and Jodi Laderer, and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Clyde, David, and Wilford Wallace. Friends will be received Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. in the LUTTON CHIPPEWA FUNERAL HOME, 117 Blackhawk Rd., where a service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Noyes of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Darlington, officiating. Interment will follow in Short Creek Cemetery, Short Creek, W.Va. Full military rites will be observed by the Veteran's Honor Squad.

Ethel L. Wrona, 74, of South Beaver Township, passed away Saturday afternoon, Feb. 13, 1999. Born Jan. 1, 1925, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna Marie Deener Bara, she graduated from New Castle High School. Ethel was a homemaker and operated Wrona's Gymnastics along with her husband, Brownie. She was a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church, where she participated in the church choir. She was also a member of the Beaver Falls Jr. Women's Club and worked at Highland Middle School cafeteria. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Bronislaw "Brownie" Wrona; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon Murphy, South Beaver Township, and Renee and Ron Globerman, Watchung, N.J.; two granddaughters, Michelle and her husband, Charles Gawley, Hopewell Township, and Samantha Globerman, Watchung, N.J.; one great-grandson, Charlie Gawley, Hopewell Township; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Virginia Bara, New Castle, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Paul Bara, and a sister, Margaret Chec. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, February 17, 1999, at 2 p.m. in the GABAUER FUNERAL HOME INC. at SYLVANIA HILLS MEMORIAL PARK INC. Her Pastor, James Tubbs, will officiate. Private entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the Heart Association of Beaver County, 1260 N. Brodhead Rd., Monaca, Pa. 15061.

Clara Zielinski, 94, a resident of the Golfview Manor Nursing Home, Aliquippa, for the past five years and a former resident of 24th Street in Ambridge, died in the nursing home on Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999. Born Aug. 4, 1904, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Frank and Rosella Urbaniak, she was a member of the Good Samaritan Parish and attended the St. Veronica Worship Site. She was preceded in death by her husbasnd, Steve, in 1974; a sister, Wanda, and two brothers, Frank and Edward. She is survived by a son, Steve Zielinski, Seattle, Wash.; three daughters, Clara Chaykowski, Baden; Gloria Crissi, Hopewell Township, and Rose Krivoshia, McMurray; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where a service will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at 11 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Veronica Worship Site. Interment will be in Economy Cemetery.

Thomas J. Bissell, 72, of Beaver Falls and formerly of California, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in The Medical Center, Beaver. Born Oct. 14, 1926, in Beaver Falls, a son of the late Thomas J. and Myrtle Partington Bissell, he was retired from ITT-Cannon Electric Company where he worked in the shipping department and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Pearl Snyder Bissell, in California; a son, Jeffrey Thomas Bissell, in California; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Shirley Bissell, Pittsburgh; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Florence and Louis Habrle, New Brighton, and Bernice and Clair Lohry, Beaver Falls, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Robert and Ralph Webster, and a sister, Ruth Selmer. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in CAMPBELL'S BEAVER FALLS FUNERAL HOME, 14th Street and Eighth Avenue. Interment will be in the Beaver Falls Cemetery Veterans Section.

Ervin L. "Red" Bryant, 62, of Locust Street, Ambridge, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in the Sewickley Valley Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born Dec. 23, 1936, in Belfast, Maine, a son of the late Chester and Edna Cottrill Bryant, he was a resident of Ambridge for the past three years. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was employed as a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for the past 10 years. Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Cecilia Alsko Bryant; three sons, Dwayne Parris, Hopewell Township; Eugene Bryant, Aliquippa, and Ervin Bryant Jr., Hopewell Township; two daughters, Darlene and her husband, Freddy Miller, in Florida, and Anna and her husband, James Campbell, Hopewell Township; four grandchildren, Frank, Rebecca and Elizabeth Mill, all in Florida, and Austin Campbell, Hopewell Township; four brothers, Jerald Bryant, in Kentucky; Burleigh Wall, in Ohio; Ralph Wall, New Brighton, and Donald Wall, in South Carolina, and a sister, Gertha Hamilton, Aliquippa. Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where a service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Bert Domineck will officiate. Burial, with full military honors provided by the Beaver County Special Unit, will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.

Zada LaRue Buhite, 87, of R.D. 3, Ford City (Burrell Township), Pa., died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, at 12:45 a.m. in the Kittanning Care Center, R.D. 1, Kittanning. Born July 29, 1911, in Cowanshannock Township, Armstrong County, Pa., a daughter of the late Alvin B. Rearick and Matilda Bierer Rearick Smail, she was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church at Brick Church and Marshall Grange 539. She and her husband owned and operated a family owned farm in Burrell Township for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. Buhite, on Nov. 5, 1978; an infant daughter, Cheryl Ann Buhite; an infant granddaughter, Vicki Yantos; six brothers, Reuben, Grant, Norman, Jonas and Alvin Rearick, and George Rearick in infancy, and two sisters, Cora Rearick and Lottie Reefer. Surviving are two sons, William C. Buhite, Rural Valley, Pa., and Ronald E. Buhite, Fredericksburg, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Betty J.) Woodside, R.D. 3, Ford City, Pa.; Doris A. Yantos, Beaver Falls, and Joyce E. Heckman, Grove City, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Friends will be welcomed today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the CLARK CHAPEL OF ELDERTON, 238 Main St., Elderton, Pa. Funeral ceremonies will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Clark Chapel of Elderton, with the Rev. Lewis Messinger, of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael's Lutheran Cemetery at Brick Church, Burrell Township, Armstrong County, Pa. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Michael's Lutheran Church, R.D. 1, Ford City, Pa. 16226. Arrangements are by Clark Chapel of Elderton.
