Burial was in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
He was the husband of Antoinette M. (Perrotto) Beeman.
Born in Reading, he was a son of Jeffrey W. Sr. and Linda L. (Weaver) Beeman, Maidencreek Township.
Last working Jan. 24, he was emloyed as a burner and in the janitorial department by East Penn Manufacturing Co., Lyons, for 13 years.
He was a 1987 graduate of Reading High School and a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church, Bethlehem.
Also surviving are a daughter, Kayla D. Beeman, at home.
Other survivors include a brohter, Jeffrey W. Beeman Jr., Strausstown, and a sister, Kimberly A. (Beeman) Frederick, Leesport.
There is also his paternal grandmother, Betty E. (Fasig) Beeman, Hartwood, Va., and his maternal grandmother, Florence M. (Moll) Weaver Barton, Maidencreek Township.
Manfred J. Madara, 58
Private services were arranged by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, for Manfred J. Madara, of East Daniel Road, Greenwich Township, who died of natural causes Oct. 2 shortly after admission to Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Irvin J. and Hazel (Petri) Madara.
He had been employed as an auto mechanic by Bush’s Exxon, Fogelsville, for five years and Mayo Motors, Trexlertown.
He was a Vietnam War Army veteran.
Surviving are Theresa A. (Rohrer) Madara, with whom he resided, and a son, Brian J. Madara. Philadelphia.
Other survivors include three sisters, Linda (Madara) Reimert and Michelle (Madara) Coleman, both of Seffner, Fla., and Ruby (Madara) Lewis, Reading.
Lee G. Rhode, 75
Memorial services will be held Sat., Oct. 18, 10 a.m., in the Topton American Legion Home for Lee G. Rhode, of Chestnut Street, Mertztown, who died Oct. 4 in the Henry Health Care Center of the Lutheran Home at Topton, where he had been a patient since Sept. 29.
He was the husband of Joyce (Witwer) Rhode.
Born in Hancock, Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Nelson and Leah (Landis) Rhode.
Until retiring in 1992, he was employed as a machine operator by Stroh Brewery Co., Fogelsville, for 20 years, and as a truck driver by Caloric Corp., Topton, for 25 years. He later worked part-time for Gehris Butcher Shop, Topton.
Rhode was the former owner/operator of Lee Rhode and Sons Septic Tank Cleaning Service, Mertztown.
He was a Korean War Army veteran.
Rhode was a life member of the Topton Volunteer Fire Company and the Topton American Legion Post 217.
Also surviving are a daughter, Kathy (Rhode) Kauffman, Fleetwood, and two sons, Rick Rhode, Birdsboro, and Michael Rhode, Mertztown.
There are also four grandchildren.
Other survivors include a brother, Rodney Rhode, Fleetwood, and two sisters, Kathleen (Rhode) Hermann, Mertztown, and Marion Rhode, Kutztown.
The John P. Feeney Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Catharine E. Breisch, 95
Memorial services were held in Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading, for Catharine E. Breisch, formerly of Hyde Park, who died Oct. 4 in the Caum Memorial Home, Hampden Blvd., where she had resided for three years.
Burial was in Laureldale Cemetery .
She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore W. Breisch, who died Nov. 20, 1995.
Born in Shamrock Station, Longswamp Township, she was a daughter of the late Rev. William F. and Katie (Krebs) Bond.
She was a 1925 graduate of Kutztown High School and a 1929 graduate of Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She received a bachelor’s degree in education from Kutztown University in 1960.
Until retiring in 1972, she had been employed as a nurse in the Muhlenberg School District for 15 years. She previously worked as a nurse at Reading Hospital.
Breisch was a life member of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading, where she was a former head of the quilting club.
Surviving are a son, John L. Breisch, Whitfield; a daughter, Martha C. (Breisch) Fisher, Quakertown, Bucks County; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Edwin S. Bechtel, 96
Services were held in the Edward J. Hildenbrand Funeral Home, Kutztown, for Edwin S. Bechtel, formerly of Kutztown, who died Oct. 3 in the Henry Health Care Center of the Lutheran Home at Topton, where he had resided three years.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery , Kutztown.
He was predeceased by his wife, Edna M. (Smith) Bechtel, who died in 1968.
Born in Douglassville, he was a son of the late Howard P. and Annie (Weidenhammer) Bechtel.
Until retiring in 1998, he was employed by Kelchner Cleaners, Kuztown, and was previously employed by the borough of Kutztown for 17 years.
He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Kutztown.
Surviving are a daughter, Mildred S. (Bechtel) Diehl, Topton; a son, Richard S. Bechtel, Kuztown; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include a brother, Daniel Bechtel, Fleetwood.
David W. Noss, 45
Services will be held Thurs., Oct. 9 in Leibensperger Funeral Home, Hamburg, for David W. Noss, who died Oct. 4 in his Nursery Road, Albany Township residence.
The cause of death is under investigation by the Berks County Coroner’s office.
Burial will be in Jacob’s Union Cemetery , Jacksonville, Lehigh County.
Born in West Reading, he was a son of Roger C. Noss, Lehigh County, and the late Jean S. (Adam) Noss.
He was a 1976 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, Lehigh County.
Noss was employed as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator by the Mid-Atlantic Division of Glen-Gery Brick Corp., Perry Township, for the past 15 years.
He was a member of Jacob’s United Church of Christ, Jacksonville.
Also surviving are a son, Miles D. Noss, and two daughters, Amanda R. Noss and Cora R. Noss, all of Dingmans Ferry, Pike County.
Other survivors include two sisters, Lorraine J. (Noss) Henninger, Albany Township, and Brenda J. (Noss) Drunkenmiller, Orefield, Lehigh County, and his paternal grandmother, Beatrice A. (Buchman) Noss, a resident of the Lutheran Home at Topton.
Vickie L. DeLong, 42
Services will be held Thurs., Oct. 9, in the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, for Vickie L. Delong, who died of natural causes Oct. 6 in her Pricetown Road, Rockland Township residence.
Burial will be in New Jerusalem Union Cemetery , Rockland Township.
Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late John Y. and June D. (Rissmiller) DeLong.
She was employed as an accounts payable secretary by Reading Hospital since 2001. She was previously employed for seven years as a clerical worker by the Reading Parking Authority and for 15 years as office manager by Fleetwood Building Block.
DeLong was a former councilwoman and church secretary at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rockland Township.
She was a soloist for the Brandywine Minstrels, Topton, for many years.
Surviving are a sister, Donna L. (DeLong) Schaeffer, Leesport, and a brother, Michael J. DeLong, Blandon.
Memorial services were held in Grace Lutheran Church at the Lutheran Home at Topton for Dr. Gary S. Roth, of West Race Street, Fleetwood, who died of natural causes Oct. 2 in Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia.

Mabel H. Heller, 90
Private services and burial were arranged by the Christ & Catagnus Funeral Home, Oley, for Mabel H. Heller, formerly of Fleetwood, who died Oct. 4 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul H. Heller, who died in 1993.
Born in Richmond Township, she was a daughter of the late William and Amanda (Hoch) Delp.
She had been employed by the Fleetwood Shirt Corp. and the Antietam Quilting Co., both of Fleetwood.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fleetwood.
Surviving are a niece and nephew.
Ida M. Wotring, 98
Services will be held Thurs., Oct. 9, 11 a.m., in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Schnecksville, Lehigh County, for Ida M. Wotring, who died Oct. 4 in her Mertztown Road, Longswamp Township residence.
Burial will be in Union Church Cemetery , Neffs, Lehigh County.
She was predeceased by her husband, Warren T. Wotring, who died in Nov. 1999.
Born in Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Cora (Schantz) Derhammer.
She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Alburtis.
Surviving are a son, Warren T. Wotring Jr., Chino Hills, Calif.; and two daughters, Shirley I. (Wotring) Neeb, Birdsboro, and Alice W. (Wotring) Cahn, Emmaus, Lehigh County.
There are also seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Stuart E. Beck, 83
Funeral services were held in the Welcome Baptist Church, Anderson, S.C., for Stuart E. Beck of Anderson, who died Oct. 5 at the Magnolias in Anderson.
Burial was in the church Cemetery .
He was the husband of Amy Leora (Ware) Beck.
Born in Kutztown, he was the son of the late Raymond and Beulah (Knittle) Beck.
Until retiring, he was employed by the Singer Company for over 20 years.
Also surviving are a daughter, Kathy (Beck) Lively, Simpsonville, S.C., and three sons: Don R. Beck, Bluffton, S.C.; Stanley W. Beck Sr., Summerville, S.C.; and Leslie M. Beck, Anderson, S.C.
There are also five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Harry S. Beck.
