Private memorial services were arranged by the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, New Tripoli, Lehigh County, for Fern M. Boltz, who died of natural causes Jan. 29 in her Willow Road, Tilden Township residence.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Boltz.
Born in Albany Township, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Esther (Kunkel) Miller.
She was last employed in the kitchen of the Hamburg Center in the early 1990’s.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah A. (Boltz) Klinger, Kutztown, and two sons, Randall C. Boltz, Lenhartsville, and Rick S. Boltz, Hamburg.
There are also seven grandchildren.
Other survivors include two brothers, Marlin J. Miller and Larry D. Miller, both of Kempton, and two sisters, Jean (Miller) Follweiler, Kempton, and Linda Miller, Hamburg.
Walter R. Hagey
Walter R. Hagey, 93, of Telford, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002 at the Lutheran Community at Telford.
Funeral services were held Dec. 21.
He was the husband of the late Dorothy E. (Rosenberger) Hagey.
Born in Hatfield, he was a son of the late Justus T. and Martha M. (Scheetz) Hagey.
He was vice-president of Fidelity Bank, formerly the Fidelity-Philadelphia Trust Co. from 1929-1974.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Springfield Twp.
He was past treasurer and supply pastor of the Eastern PA Synod, Lutheran Church of America. He served on numerous church boards and agencies in the Southeastern PA Synod and the Lutheran Church in America including being on the Executive Committee of the Lutheran Council in USA from 1962-1974; treasurer of home missions, inner missions and Christian Education of the Eastern PA Synod.
He is survived by: one son, the Rev. Dr. Donald C. hagey of Bethlehem; two grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased in death by a son, Walter Richard Hagey.

John Leck, 71
Services were held in the Gallman-Sonoski Funeral Home, Reading, for John Leck, who died Jan. 31 in his Boeing Avenue, Greenfields residence.
Entombment will be in the Charles Evans Cemetery Mausoleum.
He was the husband of Jeanne H. (Maszcienski) Leck. He was predeceased by his first wife, Yvonne (Barto) Leck, who died in 1996.
Born in Morea Colliery, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Andrew and Mary (Hatalovich) Leck.
Until retiring, he was employed in quality control by Arrow International for over 30 years.
Also surviving are a son, Allen Leck, Reinholds; a daughter, Sherry (Leck) Negri, Sinking Spring; and a stepdaughter, Annmarie (Phile) Joseph, in North Carolina.
There are also five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter.
Other survivors include two brothers, Metro Leck and Peter Leck, and two sisters, Eve (Leck) Tynio and Helen (Leck) Satco, all of Pottstown.
Mary R. Kreider, 93
Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 4, 10:30 a.m., in Trinity United Church of Christ, Leesport, for Mary R. Kreider, formerly of Bern Township, who died Jan. 31 in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Muhlenberg Township, where she had resided since November 1994.
Burial was in Leesport Cemetery .
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond E. Kreider, who died Oct. 13, 1991.
Born in Mahanoy Plane, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late Issac and Catherine E. (Karbel) Thomas.
Until retiring November 11, 1980, she was employed as a sewing machine operator by Globe Knitting Mill, Leesport, for 42 years.
She was a member of Trinity UCC, Leesport.
Surviving are a son, Raymond T. Kreider, Hamburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include two brothers, Albert Thomas, Slatington, Lehigh County, and Warren Thomas, in Nevada, and four sisters: Gwendolyn (Thomas) Spinelle, Pottsville; Leona (Thomas) Bredickas, Cheshire, Conn.; Sarah (Thomas) Ragasinsky, Detroit, Mich.; and Lois (Thomas) Crow, Perry Township.
She was predeceased by a son, Harold W. Kreider, who died Dec. 26, 2002.
The Leibensperger Funeral Home, Hamburg, is in charge of arrangements.
GEORGE D. BIVANS
Services were held for George D. Bivans, 80, of Locust Street, Reading, who died June 4 [2002] in the Berkshire Center, Exeter Township, where he had resided.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Betty (Dugan) Bivans, in 1960, and by his second wife, Mary T. (Suchomelly) Brightbill Bivans, in 1993.
Born in Reading, Bivans was employed for 36 years as a laborer by The Glidden Company, Reading, until his retirement.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are two stepsons, Bruce Brightbill, Fleetwood, and Nelson Brightbill, Reading; and a stepdaughter, Joyce (Brightbill) Flail, Wyomissing.
Other survivors include six step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.

DOLORES E. EAST
Services were held for Dolores E. “Lorsey” East, 62, of Valley View Road, Amity Township, who died June 4 [2002] in St. Joseph Medical Center.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of LaRue (Hemmig) Chmielewski, Reading, and the late John W. Chmielewski.
East was employed by Russell Plywood Inc., West Reading, retiring in 2001.
She was a life member of the East End Athletic Association and the Spartaco Society.
East, who resided with Richard Williams, is also survived by two daughters, Wendi J. (East) Smith and Stacy L. (East) Allen, both of Reading.
Other survivors include a sister and two granddaughters.
Burial was in Laureldale Cemetery , Tuckerton.

CRAIG A. LEVAN
Funeral services were held for Craig A. Levan, 47, of Butter Lane, Exeter Township, who died June 5 [2002] in Crozier-Chester Medical Center, Chester.
He was the husband of Donna J. (Fletcher) Levan.
Born in Reading, he was a son of Shirley (Herb) Levan, St. Lawrence, and the late Leonard Levan.
Levan was employed for 22 years as an assembler by Parish Structural Products Division of Dana Corp., Reading.
He was a 1973 graduate of Exeter High School.
Also surviving is a stepson, Scott C. Scheuring, Muhlenberg Township; and two stepdaughters, Staci L. (Scheuring) Kline, Alsace Township, and Brandi M. Scheuring, Sinking Spring.
Other survivors include a brother, Jeffrey, Stonersville; and two sisters, Sharon (Levan) Glass, Reading, and Debbie (Levan) Krommes, St. Lawrence.
There are also six step-grandchildren.
Burial was private.

CARL W. TYLER
Services and burial were private for Carl William Tyler, 45, who died February 24 in his residence on Gibraltar Road, Exeter Township.
Born in Flint, Mich., he was employed for several years as an assembly worker by Threshold Services, Reading, last working in 2000.
He is survived by two brothers.

EILENE S. VILLA
Services were held for Eilene S. Villa, 82, who died February 22 in her residence in Westfield, N.J.
Her husband, George Villa, died in 1996.
Born in Douglassville, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, Westfield.
Surviving are a son, George S., Tewksbury, N.J.; and two daughters, Eilene S. Villa, New York City, and Joanne S. Villa, Westfield.
Other survivors include two brothers, Lester and Melvin Schurr, both of Douglassville; and three sisters: Gladys (Schurr) Philion and Jeane (Schurr) Rohrbach, both of Douglassville, and Alma (Schurr) Millard, Topton.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery , Westfield.

MARY C. R. MOGEL
Services were held for Mary C. Richards Mogel, 98, of Delta Avenue, Northmont, who died February 25 in Berkshire Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Exeter Township, where she had resided since December 16.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert B. Richards, in 1966 and by her second husband, Lester E. Mogel, in 1989.
Born in Reading, she was a member of Grace (Alsace) United Church of Christ, Hyde Park.
Surviving are a son, Robert S. Richards, Reading; and two daughters, Jeanette H. (Richards) Showalter, Reading, and Catherine E. (Richards) Fehr, Reinholds.
Other survivors include a sister; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Charles Evans Cemetery .

BRIAN A. HUNSICKER
A service will be held for Brian A. “Dead Dog” Hunsicker, 46, of Old Philadelphia Pike, Douglassville, who died February 22 at a friend’s residence in Earlville.
He was the husband of Marianne (Banos) Wengert Hunsicker.
Born in Norristown, he served in the Army.
Hunsicker was a member of the Oasis Club and the Manatawny Association, both in Pottstown; St. Gabriel’s Lodge in Stowe; and the Reading Motorcycle Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Harry Pup Hunsicker and Maxwell Hunsicker, both of Douglassville; one stepson, Craig Robert Kulp of Douglassville; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Kulp Haynes of Douglassville.
Also a brother, three sisters and six grandchildren.

A service will be held March 9 at 1 p.m. in the Oasis Club, 62 High St., Pottstown.
Burial will be private.
