Arthur A. Appert, III, 49, of Quakertown, died Apr. 10, 2003 at his home.
He was the husband of Mary Beth (Smith) Appert of Doylestown.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. he was the son of the late Arthur A. Appert Jr. and the Francis (Bouchard) Appert.
He was a self employed marketing consultant, owning the Physicians Business Services Inc. in Quakertown.
He was a Lehigh University graduate and also received his MBA from Lehigh. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Fraternity at Lehigh.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two brothers, Kevin of Sunnyvale, Calif. and David of Alpharetta, Ga.; three sisters, Christine of Va., Denise McGraw of N.Y. and Stephanie of Norwalk, Conn.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Edna M. Smith
Edna M. Smith, 93, of Richlandtown, previously of Quakertown, passed away peacefully June 17, 2003 in Phoebe Richland Care Center, Richlandtown.
She was the wife of the late Allen H. Smith.
Born in Milford Square, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Lizzie (Cope) Schoch.
She was a clerk for a number of years at Sine’s 5 & 10, Quakertown, and had also worked at a shirt factory in Quakertown a number of years.
She graduated with the Class of 1928 from Quakertown High School.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Quakertown.
She is survived by three sons, Allen R., of Quakertown, Robert J. of Sellersville, and Ronald J. of Englewood, Fla.; three daughters, Doris Hieter, Lucille M. Hance and Betty B. Bright, all of Quakertown; 13 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Ellen Jean, a grandson, Thomas Hance and a sister, Pauline Shoemaker.
Services were held June 20.

Bruce F. Kaufman
Bruce F. Kaufman, 67, 0f Lancaster, formerly of Quakertown, died June 18, 2003 in Lancaster Regional Medical Center in Lancaster.
Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Russell N. and Cora M. (Stettler) Kaufman.
He was last employed as a Realtor for Lechner & Stauffer in Pennsburg. Prior to that he was a banker for the former Bucks County Bank in Quakertown.
He was a member of Great Swamp United Church of Christ in Spinnerstown.
He was also a member of the Quakertown Masonic Lodge #512 and the Mumbauersville Gun Club Inc.
He was a U.S.Air Force veteran, serving during peacetime.
He is survived by two brothers, Irving R. of Lima, Ohio and Ray C. of Millsboro, Del.; and nieces and nephews.
Services were held June 23.

Alton B. Gravel
Services were held for Alton B. Gravel, 77, of Quakertown who passed away on Jan. 26, 2004 in his home.
He was the husband of Marian (Kline) Gravel. They were married for 56 years.
Born in Canadensis, he was the son of the late Arthur and Helen (Lewis) Gravel.
Until his retirement in 1987, Mr. Gravel owned and operated Alton Gravel TV Service in Quakertown.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Quakertown.
He was a veteran of WWII.
He was also a member of Quakertown American Legion Post 242 in Quakertown, and the Paletown Rod and Gun Club in Quakertown.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Thomas, of Lebanon, N.J. and Richard of Quakertown; one brother, Ralph of Hatboro; one sister, Lorraine Swank of Levittown; and two grandchildren.

William M. Jackson, II
Services were held for William M. “Stoney” Jackson, II, 82, of Quakertown, formerly of Newark, Del. who passed away on Jan. 25, 2004 in Genesis ElderCare Quakertown Center.
He was the husband of Ruth E. Jackson. They were married for 53 years last December.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J. he was the son of the late John K. and Ruby (Cochran) Jackson.
He was last employed as a ceramic engineer consultant for Humphrey Chemical Co. in Aberdeen, Md. Prior to that he worked for Cabot Corporation in Boston, Mass.
He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Quakertown.
He was a Emeritus member of the American Ceramic Society for 25 years and a volunteer with the University of Delaware Ceramic Department. He was also a member of AA for 28 years and a former Sunday School Teacher for the Rye Presbyterian Church, Rye, N.Y.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran Serving during WWII and a prisoner of war in Germany.
In addition to his wife Mr. Jackson is survived by four daughters, Diane D. Dougherty of East Greenville, Rhonda R. Nowicki of Quakertown and Cindy C. Ziegler of Coopersburg and Wendy M. Leone of Douglasville; one brother, John K. of Brunswick, Maine; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ralph H. Roberts
Services were held for Ralph H. “ Gene” Roberts, 77, of Quakertown, who passed away Jan. 26, 3004 in St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital, Quakertown.
He was the husband of Darlene P. (Layton) Roberts. They were married for 34 years.
Born in E. Rockhill Township he was the son of the late William H. and Myrtle (Corum) Roberts.
He worded at Haycock Kennels, Quakertown, for a number of years before retiring. Previously he had worked for the former Swartley Construction Co., Charles Kooker Masonry, and the former Quakertown Brick Yard, Quakertown.
He served with the U. S. Navy during WWII.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son Ralph H. Jr., of Hatfield; four daughters, Marlene Roberts of Richlandtown, Tammy Roberts of Perkasie, Heather and Brittany Roberts both at home; two brothers, Silas of Quakertown and Robert of East Greenville; four sisters, Anna Jones , Patricia Boyd, and Myrtle Colon all of Quakertown and Loretta Lewis of Pittsburgh; and one granddaughter. He was predeceased by a brother Granville.

Services were held for Mary A. Marsolick, 80, of Quakertown, formerly of Hereford, who passed away Jan. 26, 2004 in St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Casimer Marsolick.
Born in Mary Dee, she was the daughter of the late Metro and Bertha (Marko) Babluck.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Anne Kock of Hereford; three grandchildren, including Maureen Marsolick with whom she resided and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Charlie.

Freda Weikel
Services were held for Freda Weikel, 82, of Richlandtown, previously of Sellersville, Trumbauersville, and Quakertown, who passed away Jan. 27, 2004 in Phoebe Richland Healthcare Center, Richlandtown.
She was the wife of the late Francis F. Weikel.
Born in Souderton she was the daughter of the late Henry and Christina (Kletzing) Ziegler.
She was a trimmer for many years at a number of former clothing manufacturing companies in the Quakertown area. She also worked for the former Peerless Shoe Co., in Telford and was the cafeteria manager at the former Lewis Manufacturing Co. in Perkasie.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Perkasie.
Mrs. Weikel is survived by four sons, Larry of New Hope, Bruce of Quakertown, Craig of Silver Spring, Md., and Dwight of Hong Kong, China; two brothers, Richard and Wilmer Ziegler both of Sellersville; one sister, Ruth Hangey of Sellersville; and eight grandchildren.

She was the wife of Albert C. Klock. They were married for 47 years.
Born in Taylorville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Hazel (Eister) Hess.
In addition to her husband she is survived by four sons, Cliff of Souderton, Dave of Perkasie, Jeff of Quakertown, and U.S.Army Private Keven of Ft. Irwin, Calif; one brother, Bob of Souderton and six grandsons.

Services were held for Donna Carol Fitzpatrick, 61, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Quakertown, who passed away Jan. 30, 2004 in the home of her daughter with whom she resided.
She was the wife of the late Albert W. Fitzpatrick.
Born in Bridgeport, Conn. she was the daughter of the late Donald Sterling and Kathryn (Bronner) Sterling Shenko.
She worked for the former Bill’s Flower Shop in Quakertown for over five years before she retired. Previously she had worked at Hy-Cross Hatchery, Doylestown for over 19 years.
She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Quakertown.
In addition to her daughter Sherri Hollyman of Orlando, Fla., she is survived by two brothers, John Sterling of Lake Mary, Fla., and Chuck Shenko of Moscow, Pa; one sister, Sandra Griffin of Scranton; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Donald and Albert, Jr.
