Funeral services were held for Evelyn Mae (Grander) Godshall, 93, of the Frederick Mennonite Community in Frederick, who died December 12.
She had resided there since 1987 and was the widow of Herbert C. Godshall.
Born in Royersford, she graduated in 1927 from Schwenksville High School and from Ursinus College in 1931.
She was a homemaker and school teacher in Pottstown.
Godshall was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Maryland, where she was a former officer.
She was a member of the Women’s Civic Club, the League of Women Voters, the Children’s Theatre, the Manor Players and the Parent Teacher Association, all in Maryland.
Surviving are a daughter, Martha G. Fenoglio of West Chester; a son, H. Lynn Godshall of Collegeville; a sister and two grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Burial was in Fernwood Cemetery in Royersford.

ROSE ANN BENEDICT
Services were held for Rose Ann (Urban) Benedict, 66, of Cleaver House Road, Boyertown, and formerly of Georgia, and companion of Paul Schoenly, who died December 14 in ManorCare, Pottstown.
Born in Colebrookdale, she owned and operated several restaurants in Georgia and was an auctioneer for many years. She was an in-home private caregiver in Georgia. She worked in nursing homes in Georgia and Pennsylvania in the last 10 years.
In addition to her companion, she is survived by two sons, Ronald Powell of Towanda, Bradford County, and Ellis Brewer of Griffin, Ga.; two daughters, Dawn Powell of Indiana and Linda Patrick of Backshear, Ga.; four brothers, Paul Urban of Gilbertsville, Robert Urban of Pottstown, Thomas Urban of Clayton, Del., and
Richard Urban of Phoenixville; two sisters, Helen Willman of Boyertown and Mary Menkins of Malvern.
Also eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister.

MIRIAM JOHNSON
Services were held for Miriam W. (Keim) Johnson, 93, wife of Ralph H. D. Johnson, of West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, who died December 13 in Manatawny Manor in East Coventry, where she had been a patient.
Born in Colebrookdale, Johnson worked at the former Boyertown Casket Co. as a wood carver.
She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boyertown.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 65 years are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Burial was in Forest Hills Memorial Park in Exeter.

EDITH BEITLER
Services will be Saturday for Edith H. (Shaner) Beitler, 79, of East Sixth Street, Boyertown, who died December 16 in the Sanatoga Center in Lower Pottsgrove.
She was the widow of Lester M. Beitler.
Born in District Township, she was a sewing machine operator for many years at the former Mistee Lingerie Co. in Boyertown until her retirement.
Beitler was a member of St. Joseph’s Hill Lutheran Church in Boyertown.
She is survived by two sisters, Elda M. Stanley and Effie M. Heydt, both of Gilbertsville; and two brothers, Walter Shaner of Barto, and Paul M. Shaner of Gilbertsville.
She was predeceased by a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 244 Koch Road, Boyertown.
Services will be at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Vicki L. Reeser officiating.
Burial will be in Hill Church Cemetery in Pike Townhip.

Ella A. M. Rothermel, 85
Retired elementary teacher
Services were held in the Hetrick Funeral Home, Womelsdorf, for Ella A. M. Rothermel, Womelsdorf, who died Dec. 23 in St. Joseph Medical Center, where she had been a patient five days.
Burial was in Zion Lutheran & Reformed Cemetery , Womelsdorf.
She was predeceased by her husband, Woodrow H. Rothermel, who died Dec. 13, 1978.
Born in Topton, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Sue (Biel) Sanders.
She was a 1943 graduate of Kutztown Normal School.
Until retiring in 1978, she was employed as an elementary school teacher for 31 years in Berks County, last teaching in the Conrad Weiser School District at the Stouchsburg and Womelsdorf schools for nine years.
She previously taught at schools in Topton and Bernville.
Rothermel was a past matron of Chapter 339, Order of the Eastern Star, Womelsdorf.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Womelsdorf.
Also surviving are two sisters, Lona (Sanders) Swartzentruber, Mertztown, and Myrl (Sanders) Kramer, Lady Lake, Fla.
There are also five nieces and nephews.
Frank J. Corallo, 92
A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown, for Frank J. Corallo, formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Wyomissing, who died Dec. 15 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, where he had been a patient since Dec. 15.
He was taken to the hospital from Kutztown Manor, where he had resided eight days.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery , Brooklyn, N.Y.
He was predeceased by his wife, Vivian (Tornello) Corallo, who died Nov. 11, 1995.
Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Sebastian C. and Carmela (Chiaramonte) Corallo.
Until retiring in 1972, he was a foreign exchange banker at Chase Manhattan Bank, New York, for over 25 years.
Corallo was a violinist and active in an symphony orchestra.
He was a World War Ii Army veteran.
Corallo was a member of Mary Mother of Jesus Church, Brooklyn.
Surviving are a sister, Salvatrice (Corallo) Diahy, Manasquan, N.J., and two nieces and two nephews, including Carm Sosik, Kutztown.
The Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, was in charge of arrangements.
DeLoss Kahl, 80
Private services were arranged by the Ludwick Funeral Home, Kutztown, for DeLoss Kahl, Moselem Springs Road, Perry Township, who died of natural causes Dec. 23 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, where he had been a patient since Dec. 22.
He was the husband of Ann P. (Grauert) Kahl.
Born in Akron, Ohio, he was a son of the late DeLoss and Karoline (Strauss) Kahl.
He was the owner/operator of Grauert and Co., Reading, a welding supplier, from 1971 to 1990. He was previously employed as an executive sales engineer for Kimberly and Clark in Massachusetts, and Neenah in Wisconsin.
Kahl was a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he recived a degree in chemical engineering.
He was a World War II Army veteran, receiving the Bronze Star.
Also surviving are three daughters, Carol A. Kahl and Jamie A. Kahl, both of San Francisco, and Paula S. Kahl, Wernersville; and a son, Michael W. Kahl, at home.
There are also two grandchildren.
Barbara A. Burkhart, 87
The Leibensperger Funeral Home, Hamburg, was in charge of arrangements for Barbara A. Burkhart, formerly of Shoemakersville, who died Dec. 24 in Laurel Nursing Home, Tilden Township, where she had resided since June 2000.
Burial was in Maidencreek Cemetery , Maidencreek Township.
She was predeceased by her husband, Elijah W. Burkhart, who died in March 1993.
Born in Walnuttown, she was a daughter of the late Samuel W. and Florence A. (Lutz) Kline.
Until retiring in 1978, she was employed as a sewing machine operator, last working at Walter Moyer Underwear Co., West Lawn.
She was a member of Maidencreek Church, Blandon.
Surviving are a sister, Anna M. (Kline) Emerich, Fleetwood, and several nieces and nephews.
Neil P. Malone, 60
The Lutz Funeral Home, Mount Penn, was in charge of arrangements for Neil P. Malone, Lehigh County, who died of natural causes Dec. 23 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, where he had been a patient since Nov. 22.
Memorial services were held in Malone’s residence, and burial was private.
Born in Lyons, he was a son of the late Patrick and Velma (Stein) Malone.
He was a 1960 graduate of Kutztown High School.
Until retiring, he was a foreman at Bethlehem Steel for many years.
Malone was a Vietnam War Army veteran.
Surviving are a son, Sean P. Malone, Lockport, La.; a daughter, Lynn V. Malone, Hamburg; and a granddaughter.
Other survivors include two brothers, Ronald Malone, Breinigsville, and Timothy Malone, Fleetwood; and a sister, Mary (Malone) Haas, Maxatawny Township.
Jane L. Hutter, 48
Services were held in the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Fleetwood, for Jane L. Hutter, who died of natural causes Dec. 27 in her South View Road, Richmond Township residence.
She was the wife of John G. Hutter.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., she was a daughter of Edward Worek, Levittown, and the late Doris (Skoff) Worek.
She was employed as a counselor by Pennsylvania Couseling Services, Reading, for four years. She had previously worked with Dr. Marsha Dietrich, Douglassville, for 15 years.
Hutter received a degree in psychology from Kutztown University in 1998.
Also surviving are a son, Sean P. Backentoss, Mount Penn; a daughter, Tessa M. Backentoss, Malvern, Chester County; and a sister, Joan (Worek) Altimore, Doylestown, Bucks County.
