Services will be held for Clyde B. Fox, 87, formerly of North 26th Street, Lower Alsace Township, who died January 5 in St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient.
He was taken there from Berkshire Center, Exeter Township, where he had resided since 2002.
His wife, Margaret G. (Guinter) Fox, died in 1986.
Fox had been employed for 37 years in the electrical department of Carpenter Technology Corp., Reading, retiring as foreman in 1977. He later worked for four years as a clerk in the Berks County Court House.
Fox was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Mt. Penn, where he served on the consistory for ten years and was president in 1967.
He was a 1932 graduate of Reading High School.
Fox was a member of the Antietam School Board for eight years, serving as president in 1980.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by a daughter, Pamela J. (Fox) Keeler, Pennside.
There are also two grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading.
Private burial will be in Oley Cemetery , Spangsville.
ELLWOOD F. BROWN JR.
Services will be held for Elwood Francis Brown Jr., 79, husband of Miriam Alice (Sension) Brown, of Poplar Drive, Amity Township, who died January 4. He had been a patient in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center in West Reading.
Born in Linwood, Brown worked as a tool maker from 1949 to 1969 at the former Westinghouse Electric Co. in Lester, Pa., and then worked as a roll grinder for the former Brush-Wellman, now Brush Engineering, of Shoemakersville, until 1985.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Ellwood Francis Brown III of El Paso, Texas; three daughters, Suzanne A. Gerhard of Shillington, Christine A. Asher of Adamstown, and Marjorie F. Tammaro of Hammondsport, N.Y
Also two half-sisters; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2045 Westgate Drive, No. 302, Bethlehem, PA 18017; or to the American Heart Association, 40 Berkshire Court, Wyomissing, PA 19610.
Calling hours will be held one hour before the service at the Dengler Funeral Home, 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, with the funeral being held at 12:30 p.m.
The Rev. Dennis S. Boel will be officiating.
Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Broomall.
LILLIAN S. REIGLE
Services were held for Lillian S. Reigle, 78, of Old Swede Road, Amity Township, who died December 31 [2002]in her residence.
She was the wife of Wilbert S. Reigle.
Born in Shenandoah, Schuylkill County, she was a 1942 graduate of Conyngham High School in Columbia County.
She was a member of the Boyertown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s witnesses.
Also surviving are two sons, John S., Douglassville, and Steven C., Bechtelsville.
There are also three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Burial was private.

FRANCIS L. GILES
Services were held for Francis L. Giles, 80, of Maple Drive, Caernarvon Township, who died January 4 in his residence.
His wife, Carolyn M. (Gring) Giles, died in 1990.
Born in Reading, Giles had been employed for 26 years as a truck driver by Grace Mines, Morgantown, retiring in 1978.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Surviving is a son, Scott, and a daughter, Wendy (Giles) DeHaven, both of Morgantown.
Other survivors include two brothers; two sisters; four grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Burial was in Caernarvon Cemetery , Morgantown.

C. DONALD SCHELLHAMMER
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for C. Donald Schellhammer, 82, of Outlook Pointe, Exeter Township, who died January 5 in Reading Hospital.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Vespico) Schellhammer, in 1996.
Born in Reading, he had been employed for 34 years in maintenance by UGI Corp., Reading, retiring in 1982.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.
Schellhammer is survived by two nephews.
Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery , Laureldale.

EDWARD M. KUTSCH
Services were held for Edward M. Kutsch, 76, of Old Swede Road, Douglassville, who died January 2 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
He was the husband of Catherine P. (Piazza) Kutsch.
Born in Philadelphia, he graduated from North East High School in Philadelphia in 1944.
He worked as a draftsman for the Dana Corp. for 37 years, retiring in 1986.
Kutsch was an Army Air Corps veteran, serving during World War I.
He was a member of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church in Stowe.
Kutsch was a founding member of the Pennsylvania Canal society; a member of the New Jersey Canal Society; the Society of Industrial Archeology; the Roebling Bridge Preservation Chapter; the Oliver Evans Chapter; the Phoenixville and Berks County Historical Societies; the Hugh Moore Historical Park and Museum in Easton; the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 814 in Pottstown; and the Pottstown Senior Center.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, he is survived by four sons, Mark E. Kutsch, Jay C. Kutsch and Edward D. Kutsch, all of Pottstown, and Stephen F. Kutsch of Douglassville; one daughter, Kathryn A. Hetrick of Gilbertsville; and 13 grandchildren.
Contributions may be made in the form of a Mass card.
Burial was in St. Aloysius New Cemetery in Lower Pottsgrove.

STELLA J. HIPP
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Stella J. Hipp, 94, formerly of Cotton Street, Reading, who died January 3 in the Berkshire Center, Exeter Township, where she had been a resident since 1996.
Her husband, George W. Hipp, died in 1965.
Born in Reading, she had been employed for 30 years by Holly Hosiery, Reading, retiring as supervisor.
She was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township.
Hipp was a 1927 graduate of Reading High School.
She is survived by a daughter, Georgejane B. (Hipp) Ulrich, Rehoboth Beach, Del.; and two sons, George S., Bernville, and Joseph E., Royersford.
Other survivors include a sister, three brothers; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Hipp had been predeceased by a daughter, Geraldine M. (Hipp) Iezzi, in 1995.
Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery , Laureldale.

STACEY L. O’RIORDAN
Services and burial were private for Stacey L. O’Riordan, 44, of Butter Lane, Exeter Township, who died September 26 in Reading Hospital.
Her husband, Richard O’Riordan, died in May.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of Nancy A. (Weber) Doan, Reading, and the late Ronald N. Davidheiser Sr.
She had been employed as a waitress by Charcoal Chef, Reiffton.
O’Riordan, who resided with Anthony E. DiGuardi, is also survived by three brothers; a stepbrother; a stepsister and her stepfather, James A. Doan, of Reading.
The arrangements were handled by the Lutz Funeral Home Inc., Mount Penn.
JEFFREY L. BOCK
A memorial service was held for Jeffrey L. Bock, 57, of Land O’Lakes, Fla., formerly of Reading and Amity Township, who died September 26 in a hospital in Tampa, Fla.
He was the husband of Joan (Keraga) Bock.
Born in Corry, Erie County, he was a self-employed diesel and heavy-equipment mechanic.
He was a member of Van Dyke United Methodist Church, Lutz, Fla.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a son, Jeffrey, in Florida.
Other survivors include a brother, Greg, Birdsboro, and a sister, Judy (Bock) Reitz, Douglassville.
He was predeceased by a daughter.

EUGENE R. BURKHART
Services were held for Eugene R. Burkhart, 96, who died in his residence on Plow Road, Robeson Township on September 29.
His wife, Carrie Mae (Kachel) Burkhart, died in 2001.
Born in Robeson Township, he was a self-employed farmer for 60 years and the owner of Echo Valley Farm at his residence, retiring in 1993.
Surviving are a son, John R., and a daughter, Rebecca M. Burkhart, both at home.
Other survivors include a sister; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
He was predeceased by a daughter in 1993.
Burial was in Robeson Lutheran Cemetery , Plowville.
