Services will be Saturday for Alice Ream, 101, of Harsh Lane, Caernarvon Township, who died December 11 in the Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, Narvon, Lancaster County.
Her husband, Charles F. Ream, died in 1963.
Born in Caernarvon Township, she was a self-employed certified seamstress for 23 years in Kinzers, Lancaster County, retiring in 1987.
She was a correspondent for the Honey Brook newspaper for 35 years and was also a correspondent for the New Holland Clarion and the Lancaster newspapers.
Ream was treasurer of the Pequea Valley Christian Chorus.
She was a member of the California Evangelical Congregational Church, Lancaster County.
Ream was a choir member, assistant Sunday school teacher and assistant pianist at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Lancaster County.
She was a life member of the Twin Valley Senior Citizens Club and the Morgantown Fire Company.
Surviving are two sons, Harry F., West Wyomissing, and Robert E., York.
Other survivors include five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Labs Funeral Home Inc., Honey Brook, Chester County.
Burial will be in the Pequea Presbyterian Cemetery , Lancaster County.
WILLIAM L. KURTZ
Graveside services were held for William L. Kurtz, 79, who died December 9 in his residence on Blue Rock Hill Road, Elverson.
He was the husband of Mary E. (Fisher) Kurtz.
Born in Reading, Kurtz was employed for 35 years by Bell Telephone Co., Reading, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the Elverson United Methodist Church, where he served as secretary of the church trustees for 38 years and served as secretary of the church Cemetery association for 38 years.
Kurtz was a life member of the Jacob Morgan American Legion Post 537, Morgantown; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5997, Honey Brook, Chester County; and the National Rifle Association.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Kurtz was a past president of Elverson Borough Council.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Ann (Kurtz) Schurr, Elverson; and two grandchildren.
Services were held in the Elverson UM Church Cemetery .
The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill, Lancaster County, was in charge of the arrangements.
LILLIAN M. GOOD
A memorial service and burial were private for Lillian M. Good, 97, formerly of Silver Swallow Road, Exeter Township, who died December 10 in Beverly Manor, Exeter Township, where she had resided since 1999.
Her husband, Curtis D. Good, died in 1994.
Born in Reading, she was employed as a full fashion topper by various hosiery mills in the Reading area until her retirement.
Surviving are a son, Laverne C., Exeter Township; and a daughter, Gloria M. (Good) Smith, Macungie, Lehigh County.
Other survivors include five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

ELMER L. ROGERS JR.
Private services were held for Elmer Lee Rogers Jr., 86, of West Benjamin Franklin Highway, Exeter Township, who died December 14 in Beverly Health Care at Phoenixville Manor, Chester County.
He had been predeceased by his wife, Pauline M. (Edlinski) Rogers.
Born in Georgetown, Del., Rogers had been employed for 20 years as a butcher by Keystone Meat Market, Reading, retiring in 1982.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Rogers is survived by a son, George D., Bethlehem, and a daughter, Patricia A. (Rogers) Kummerer, Birdsboro.
There are also five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

ELLA E. BILL
Private services were held for Ella E. Bill, 61, of Proudfoot Drive, Robeson Township, who died December 12 in Zerbe Sisters Nursing Home, Caernarvon Township, Lancaster County, where she had been a patient.
Her husband, Frederick L. Bill Sr., died in 1995.
Born in Philadelphia, she had been employed for 12 years as a cook by Suburban Tavern, Mount Penn, retiring in 2000.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer D. (Bill) Ranck, Birdsboro; and three sons: Frederick L. Jr., Frackville, Schuylkill County; Scott M., Reading; and Jason P., Temple.
Other survivors include a brother and her step-mother, Eleanor McIlhenny, Wyomissing.
There are also six grandchildren.

DAVID R. MOSKOVITZ
Services were held for David R. Moskovitz Jr., 40, husband of Lynn U. Moskovitz of Hunter’s Run in Exeter, who died December 12 in an auto accident.
He was born in Chicago to the late David R. Moskovitz Sr. and Donna Faye Evensen of Glenn Ellyn, Ill.
He attended York High School in Elmhurst, Ill., and earned both his undergraduate and his graduate degrees from Ohio State University.
In 1981, he was named Illinois High School’s Gymnast of the Year. He attended OSU on a gymnastics scholarship, and was a member of its 1985 Big Ten and NCAA Championship teams.
Before moving to Pennsylvania, Moskovitz was the director of membership of USA Gymnastics in Indianapolis. He also held gymnastics coaching positions in Indianapolis, and Marin, Calif.
Moskovitz and his wife had recently acquired Berks East Gymnastics Club in Parker Ford.
In addition to coaching, he was chairman of Group Gymnastics as well as a safety instructor for USA Gymnastics, the education representative for the Pennsylvania State Gymnastic Board and a Brevet Rated Men’s Gymnastics judge.
He also was a group leader for the World Gymnastrade in Germany, Sweden and Portugal.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by two sisters.

DOLORES ESCHBACH
Services will be held Wednesday for Dolores E. “Dolly” Eschbach, 66, wife of Maurice E. Eschbach of Monocacy Hill Road in Amity Township, who died December 13 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.
She was born in West Reading and was a 1955 graduate of Amity High School.
She was a waitress at the former Dairy Clown and then the Country Kitchen in Greshville and for 36 years, worked as a cook at the Yellow House Hotel, retiring in 2000.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Amityville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kerry A. Drey of Birdsboro; one brother, Gerald L. Kuser of Earlville; and a granddaughter.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Ave., in Reading.
Services will be held at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Pottstown.
Kathryn Etter
Kathryn Etter, 91, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, previously of Quakertown, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002 in her home.
Funeral services were held Aug. 9. Interment
was in Quakertown Union Cemetery .
She was the wife of the late Wilbert H. Etter.
Born in Sellersville, she was a daughter of the late Horace E. and Katie (Schuntz) Marks.
She was a bookkeeper for 10 years at the former Louis Goldsmith Taylor Factory, Quakertown, and afterwards, she worked at the former Crouthamel Potato Chip Factory, Quakertown. She also worked at the former Leh’s Department Store, Quakertown, until retiring in 1965.
She was an active member at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Quakertown, where she sang with the church choir and was involved with the Ladies Workshop. She also volunteered in the gift shop of the former Quakertown Community Hospital, now St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital.
She is survived by: one son, Thomas H. Etter, Virginia Beach, Va., with whom she resided; two grandchildren.

Mildred M. Carlson
Mildred M. Carlson, 97, of Lower Gwynedd, previously of Quakertown, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002 in Spring House Estates, Lower Gwynedd.
Funeral services were private at the convenience of the family.
She was the wife of the late Sidney J. Carlson.
Born in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late William M. and Catherine (Shotts) Miller.
She was a librarian for many years at the Engelwood Public Library in New Jersey until retiring.
She is survived by: two daughters, Ruth, of Quakertown and Deanne, of Nebraska; two brothers, John Miller, of Rhode Island, Dr. Richard D. Miller, of Fayetteville; one sister, Louise Garrison, of New York; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Alice D. Myers
Alice D. Myers, 94, of Souderton, died Aug. 2, 2002 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.
Funeral services were held Aug. 7.
She was the widow of Paul G. Myers.
Born in Bedminster Township, she was a daughter of the late David G. and Martha (Detweiler) Leatherman.
She was a member of Haycock Mennonite Church.
She is survived by: one daughter, Martha L. Eberly of Colorado Springs, Co.; seven sons, Wilmer Myers, of Va., Wilson Myers, of Va., Norman Myers and Joseph Myers, both of Perkasie, John Myers, of Quakertown, David Paul Myers, of Ontario, Daniel Myers, of Coopersburg; one sister, Grace Leatherman of Souderton; two brothers, Elmer Leatherman, of Souderton, and Willard Leatherman, of Hatfield; 35 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
