Mr. Anthony M. (Mike) Reynaud, age 66, of RR2, Box 2647, Laceyville, PA (Stowell), formerly of Howell Twp., NJ, passed away suddenly at his home in North Branch Township, Wyoming County on Wednesday evening, Jan. 23, 2002.
Born in Staten Island, NY on April 19, 1935, he was the son of the late Louis and Helen White Reynaud.
Mr. Reynaud was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1956 until 1959 during which time he was stationed in Alaska. He retired in 1985 from the New York City Transit Authority, being employed for over 22 years.
He was a member of the Lovelton Grange and while living in New Jersey, was a member of the Monmouth Sport Flyers Club in Colt Neck, NJ.
Surviving is his wife, the former Marianne D. Davis; a son, Thomas Reynaud of Point Pleasant, NJ; three daughters and sons-in-law, Colby and Francis Meeks of Corryton, TN, Danielle and Joseph Candido of Jackson, NJ and Moira Casey of Storrs, CT; a sister, Mrs. Anne Craft of Kittaning; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Reynaud.
Funeral services were held at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 26 at 4 p.m., with Rev. Charles Bishop of the Elk Lake Community Church, officiating. Interment
will be at the convenience of the family. The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of the services.

Marie B. Radencic, age 56, of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002 at the home of her daughter, Tracy Brunner in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore. Interment
will be in St. Basil’s Cemetery .
Friends may call at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
Memorials may be directed to St. Basil’s Restoration Fund, PO Box 307, Dushore, PA 18614.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore.
Loren T. Groover

Loren T. Groover, age 73, of Montrose, PA, died on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002 at Allied Services, Scranton. Born Nov. 30, 1928 in Lawton, he was the son of the late Harold C., Sr. and Anna (Cragle) Groover.
He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at Guam for a period of time.
He had been employed as foreman at Donald Dean and Sons and worked in quarries with his son.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jerry Brown, Montrose; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Betsy Groover, Montrose; grandchildren, Jay, Alan and Adam Todd Brown, Katie Mae and Morgan Diane Groover, all of Montrose; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Deforest Chalker, Montrose, Janice Sprout, Montrose; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold C., Jr. and Cora Groover, Montrose, Ross A. and Barbara Groover, Montrose; aunts, Katherine Fish, Montrose, Verna Russell, North Orwell, Grace Kunkle, FL, Alice Doughty, OR; an uncle, Robert Cragle, North Orwell; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Bartron Funeral Home, Inc., 74 Church St., Montrose. The family received friends on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
If desired, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of their choice.
Lois Pauline Hecker Estelle

Lois Pauline Hecker Estelle, 84, widow of the late Neil Estelle of 114 Spruce St., Towanda, PA, formerly of Wyalusing, passed away on Friday evening, Jan. 25, 2002 at Memorial Hospital in Towanda.
Born Jan. 22, 1918 in South Waverly, she was a daughter of the late Edward H. and Inez M. Hopkins Hecker. Lois was a graduate of Camptown High School, Class of 1937 and was a graduate of Mansfield State Teachers College, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Estelle taught in the Wyalusing Area Schools for 34 years until her retirement in 1979. On Jan. 23, 1943, she married Neil Estelle in Philadelphia. Mr. and Mrs. Estelle resided on Gaylord Street in Wyalusing for many years. Following her husband’s death on Jan. 10, 1988, Lois moved to Towanda.
She was a member of the North Towanda United Methodist Church, Wyalusing Fortnightly Club, Towanda Century Club, the Pennsylvania State Education Association and was a former member of the Wyalusing Presbyterian Church. Lois thoroughly enjoyed playing cards with her many friends in card club.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Waters and her husband, Ralph Waters of Sunrise, FL and Linda Estelle of Monroeton; five grandchildren, Robin Paige of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Thomas Straham and his wife, Linda, who are stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Japan, Michelle Chaffee and her husband, Curt Chaffee of Warren Center, Jim Davis and his wife, Paula of Gillett, Brian Davis and his wife, Kathy of Stevensville; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of wonderful friends and neighbors who have helped Lois through the past few years and her faithful canine companion, "Desi."
The family received friends on Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment
followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery , Towanda.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to the Wyalusing Public Library, Church St., Wyalusing, PA 18853 in Mrs. Estelle’s memory.
Cy C. Cornell

Mr. Cy C. Cornell, age 52, of RR4, Box 4329, Wyalusing, PA, formerly of Indian Hill in Laceyville, passed away suddenly at the Memorial Hospital in Towanda on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 29, 2002.
Born in Binghamton, NY, on Sept. 29, 1949, he was the son of Bickford E. Taylor Cornell and the late Cyrus J. Cornell.
Mr. Cornell was a graduate of the Wyalusing Valley High School, Class of 1967 and later attended the Williamsport Area Community College. Cy was the vice-president of the Cornell Manufacturing, Inc. in Laceyville for many years, retiring in 1990. While at Cornell’s, Cy was very active in the design department. He was the designer of the Cornell Wood Splitter, as well as many other pieces of equipment. He was also the designer of the computer setworks for the Cornell Sawmill Machinery. After retirement, he owned and operated the Indian Hill Wood Products in Laceyville until his ill health.
Cy was a life member of the NRA and was also a member of the Greater Wyalusing Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by his mother, Bickford E. Taylor Cornell of Laceyville; a son and his wife, Steve and Lucianna Cornell of Laceyville; a brother, Melvin L. Cornell of Kingston; two sisters and their husbands, Yvonne and Fred Phinney of Laceyville and Claudette and Gary Burke of Sugar Run; also several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, with the Rev. Richard Vieldhouse of the Orwell Bible Church, officiating. Interment
will be at the convenience of the family in the Lacey St. Cemetery , Laceyville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

Ralph E. (Bob) Balliet

Mr. Ralph E. (Bob) Balliet of RR3, Meshoppen, PA (Auburn Center) passed away early Wednesday morning, Jan. 30, 2002 at the Community Medical Center in Scranton.

Susan T. Arnold

Susan T. Arnold, age 63, of Rome, PA, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 at Memorial Hospital in Towanda.
Born on June 18, 1938 in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan Bartoli Kacsmar.
On Dec. 5, 1967, Susan married Edward Arnold in Friedensville.
She has been a resident of this area since 1982, moving from Center Valley. She was a member of the Colesville Catholic Church.
Mrs. Arnold was employed as a clerical worker for the Social Security Administration in Towanda.
She enjoyed time spent gardening, enjoyed flowers, loved animals and time spent crocheting and knitting.
She left surviving, her husband, Edward Arnold, at home; children, George Kugler of Center Valley, Robert Kugler of Hamburg, Mitchell Kugler of Bethlehem, Debra Fisher of Center Valley, Edward Arnold of Standing Stone, Larry Arnold of Mercur Hill; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John (Jack) Kugler and one great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today (Thursday, Jan. 31) at 10 a.m. in SS Peter’s and Paul’s Catholic Church in Towanda, with the Rev. Ronald Hughes as celebrant.
Interment will follow in SS Peter’s and Paul’s Cemetery .
Friends and family called on Wednesday evening, Jan. 30 at McHenry Funeral Home, 106 Church St., Wyalusing, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Patricia M. (Patty) Adams

Ms. Patricia M. (Patty) Adams, age 36, of PO Box 135, Laceyville, PA (Jenningsville), passed away on Saturday evening, Jan. 26, 2002 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident, in which she was a passenger. The accident happened in Windham Township, Wyoming County.
Born in Sayre on April 6, 1965, she was the daughter of Thomas K. Douglas and Genevieve L. Dieffenbach.
Patty attended the Elk Lake High School. For the past 10 years, she was a cashier at Bluhm’s Shopping Center in Laceyville.
In her spare time, Patty enjoyed being around her family and many friends. She enjoyed needlepoint and many types of crafts and also enjoyed working on her computer.
She is survived by her husband, William L. Adams of Laceyville; her mother, Genevieve Dieffenbach Grimes of Bailey, NC; father and stepmother, Thomas and Connie Douglas of Stevensville; two sons, William L. Adams, Jr., age 15, Laceyville and Calvin L. Adams, age seven of Jenningsville; a daughter, Nicole M. Goodenow, age 17 of Jenningsville; a granddaughter, Destiny Summer Goodenow of Jenningsville; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Florence Dieffenbach of Towanda; paternal grandparents, Gerald and Pat Vanderpool of Wysox; five sisters, Genny Proof and fiance, Gary Bennett of Rushville, Connie Dietz of Meshoppen, Virginia and husband, Oscar Fassett of Laceyville, Darlene and husband, Tony Grimes of Dudley, NC and Lisa Douglas of Stevensville; a stepsister, Bridgette Brown of Little Meadows; two stepbrothers, Daniel Button of Wyalusing and Christopher Button of Little Meadows; also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main St., Laceyville, with Rev. Ann Blair of the Skinners Eddy United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment
was in the Lacey St. Cemetery in Laceyville. The family received friends on Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of the service.
Lois Kunkle Rounsville

Lois Kunkle Rounsville, 74, of 3232 Pricetown Rd., Alsace Township, PA, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002 at her residence.
Born in Towanda, PA, she was the daughter of Gertrude Arey Kunkle of Wyalusing and the late Robert M. Kunkle. She was married to Thomas Rounsville, who predeceased her.
A graduate of Wyalusing High School and Mansfield University, she was a schoolteacher for the Oley Valley Elementary School for 35 years.
She belonged to Salem Shalter’s Lutheran Church, Alsace Twp., and was very active in the church, serving as the organist, in the choir, church council and many other activities.
She belonged to the Retired Teacher’ Association of Boyertown and Oley.
Survivors include her mother, Gertrude Kunkle of Wyalusing; two sons, Thomas F. Rounsville, Sr. of Birdsboro and Timothy L. Rounsville of Reading; a sister, Rita Oliver of Wyalusing; two grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26 from Salem Shalter’s Lutheran Church, 2032 Mt. Laurel Rd., Alsace Twp., with the Rev. Lesley J. Hand, pastor, officiating. Calling hours will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.
Services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Wyalusing United Methodist Church with the Rev. Beverly Davenport officiating.
Interment will be in Wyalusing Cemetery .

Charles LaRue

Charles LaRue, 96, of Montrose, PA, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002 at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock. He was born in Rush Township to the late George and Lillian (Barnes) LaRue. Besides his parents, Charles’s son, Harold (Tom) LaRue predeceased him in 1999.
Mr. LaRue was a manager for the Farm and Game Commission for over 20 years. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He was a loving grandfather who thought the world of his grandchildren.
His wife of nearly 75 years, Kathleen (Pierson) LaRue, Montrose; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence (Bill) and Anne LaRue, East Rush, Eldon and Catherine LaRue, Springville, Lyndon and Roben LaRue, East Rush; daughter-in-law, Sandra LaRue, Montrose; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews survive.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Russell of the East Rush United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment
will be in the East Rush Cemetery , Rush Township, PA. Calling hours will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday.
