Helen Hilliard, age 80 of Moraine Drive, Lake Arthur Estates, Portersville, Pennsylvania, formerly of Butler, died Monday, May 8, 2006 at 8:40 p.m. in the Life Care Hospital, Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania.
Born October 31, 1925 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late James O. Miller and the late Hazel Nanny.
Mrs. Hilliard formerly was a waitress at Ricardo's Restaurant, New Castle Road in Butler.
Mrs. Hilliard is survived by her husband, Albert F. Hilliard whom she marriage on February 21, 1947, by one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Mary Ellen) Halahurich of Butler, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Lillian Miller of Butler, Pennsylvania and by many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hilliard was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Hilliard, two brothers, James and Norris Miller and one sister, Marybelle Miller.
Visitation and funeral services will be private. Interment will be in the Butler County Memorial Park.

Mabel Ruth Thompson Meier
September 4, 1914 - May 8, 2006
Mabel Ruth Thompson Meier, age 91 of Chicora Medical Center, Chicora, Pennsylvania, formerly of Carbon Street, and Angert's Personal Care Home in Butler died Monday, May 8, 2006 at 1:55 a.m. in the Chicora Medical Center. She had lived in the same house on Carbon Street for 89 years.
Born September 4, 1914 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Jesse Clare Thompson and the late Mabel Jessie Sanderson Thompson.
Mrs. Meier was a homemaker. She was a life long member of the Hill United Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Queen Elizabeth Lodge of Rebekah's Lodge #463 since joining on March 8, 1949. Mrs. Meier enjoyed sewing, quilting, and her family. She also enjoyed taking fishing trips to Rice Lake in Canada.
Mrs. Meier is the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by one son, David Carl Meier of Butler, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Mrs. David W. (Brenda) Jacox of Butler, Pennsylvania; one grandson, David W. Jacox, Jr. and his wife Sharon, three granddaughters and their husbands, Lorri and Matt Sheakley of Harrisville, Pennsylvania, Christy and Gregg Beer of Butler, Pennsylvania, Heidi and Ryan Christy of Butler, Pennsylvania; eleven great-grandchildren: Courtney Meier, Samantha, Gregory and Brendan Beer, Ashley, Benjamin and Nicholas Jacox, Jesse Sheakley, Alysis, Isaiah and Ruri Christy, and also by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Meier was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Meier who passed away on April 3, 1981 and also by three sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Stephen N. Cahoon of Meridian United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery.

Andre` Rene` Bertran, age 43 of Covington Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 12:30 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 17, 1963 in Biloxi, Mississippi he was the son of the late Andre` Lucien Bertran and Patsy Faye Dunlap.
Mr. Bertran was a truck driver. He attended First United Methodist Church, Butler. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Bertran is survived by his wife, Nell Darlene Leonard Bertran whom he marriage on January 15, 1986, one son, Don Ridgley of Fombell, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Kristie Ridgley of Wilmington, Delaware; his mother, Patsy Bertran of Biloxi, Mississippi, six brothers, Pierre Bertran, Bernard Bertran, Blair Bertran, Dominic Bertran, of Biloxi, Mississippi, Ralph Bertran, Steve Bertran of Virginia; and four Grandchildren.
Arrangements by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2006 at the Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, Biloxi, Mississippi. Interment will follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
Lena Mae Dillabaugh

Lena Mae Dillabaugh, age 84 of Becker Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Monday, May 1, 2006 at 12:45 p.m. in the home of her granddaughter.
Born May 19, 1921 in Deep Creek, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Delbert Blackman and the late Alice Schoonover.
Mrs. Dillabaugh was a homemaker and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and watching basketball and volleyball at Calvary Academy.
Mrs. Dillabaugh is survived by her husband, Grant Earl Dillabaugh whom she marriage on June 3, 1938, and by three sons, Roy Grant Dillabaugh of Dayton, Ohio, Wayne Lee Dillabaugh of Butler, Pennsylvania, Dean Jay Dillabaugh of Jacksboro, Tennessee; Fifteen grandchildren, Thirty-six Great-grandchildren, One Great-great-grandchild, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dillabaugh was preceded in death by a son, four sisters and two brothers.
Friends will be received at Calvary Baptist Church, Great Belt Road, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, May 4, 2006 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Services will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Joel Ward of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Gruenwald Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Calvary Academy, 199 Great Belt Road, Butler, Pennsylvania 16002.

Florence M. Patsy, age 88 of Alameda Road, Butler, PA, died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 4:30 p.m. in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Born January 28, 1918 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Raymond Burton and the late Ruth Leibert.
Mrs. Patsy was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Patsy enjoyed playing cards, traveling, knitting, cross-stitching, crocheting and working as a seamstress. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge #19 in Butler and was a former Den Mother.
Mrs. Patsy is survived by one son, Robert Rae Prowel, Jr. of Butler, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two step-children, and two step-grandchildren.
Mrs. Patsy was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Rae Prowel who passed away March 5, 1974 and her second husband, John T. Patsy who passed away in 1998.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, May 21, 2006 from Noon to 2 p.m. and Monday, May 22, 2006 from 11 to 12:30 p.m.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend J. David Panther of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Floyd L. Hockenberry
July 13, 1937 - June 30, 2006
Floyd L. Hockenberry, age 68 of Autumn Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, June 30, 2006 at 5:30 p.m. at his residence.
Born July 13, 1937 in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Carl E. Hockenberry, Sr. and the late Erma Jane Reedy.
Mr. Hockenberry was a steel worker for Pangborn retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church. Mr. Hockenberry was a member of Tanglewood Senior Center. He enjoyed yard work, automobile restoration and baby-sitting his grandchildren.
Mr. Hockenberry is survived by four sons, Douglas F. Hockenberry of Butler, Pennsylvania, Gregory L. Hockenberry of Adams Township, Pennsylvania, Stephen J. Hockenberry of Butler, Pennsylvania, Randell A. Hockenberry of Chicora, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, one brother, Jeff Hockenberry of Grand Junction, Colorado; one step-brother, Robert Hockenberry of Pennsylvania; one sister, Jo Ann Able of Shady Grove, Pennsylvania, six nieces and eight Nephews.
Mr. Hockenberry was preceded in death by his wife, Janice I. Hockenberry whom he marriage on July 5, 1960 and who passed away on March 15, 2001. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends will be received at St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church, 201 East Jefferson Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Services will follow at the Church on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Merry Hope Meloy officiating.
