Patricia J. Welch, age 52 of North Monroe Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. at her residence.
Born October 24, 1953 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Beatrice A. Welch and the late Charles E. Welch.
Miss Welch was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church. She was an alumni of the Butler High School class of 1972. Miss Welch was a former deacon, member of the Willing Workers, the Tuesday morning Women's Bible Study and Nurture Committee of her church. She was also responsible for sending birthday cards to the members of her church.
Miss Welch is survived by her mother, Beatrice A. Welch of Butler, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Mrs. Mark (Connie) Cicerchi of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Austin (Barbara) Goff of St. Albans, West Virginia; three brothers, Scott Welch of Glendale, Arizona, Charles Welch, Jr. of Longmont, Colorado, Robert Welch of Butler, Pennsylvania; and also by a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, July 2, 2006 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend John Porter of Hill United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

Frances K. Bell

Frances Kamerer Bell, age 93 of the Lowrie House, Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of Dershimer Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania died Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 6:45 a.m. in the Lowrie House.
Born October 29, 1912 in Chicora, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Obed G. Kamerer and the late Pauline N. McSherry.
Mrs. Bell was a homemaker. She was a member of Meridian United Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Bell is survived by her sister, Louise King of Butler, Pennsylvania; three nieces, and one nephew.
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer E. Bell who passed away on August 13, 1979.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, June 30, 2006 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, June 30, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Stephen N. Cahoon of Meridian United Presbyterian Church officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Devotion, Butler County Memorial Park.

Hazel M. Ferguson
February 18, 1910 - June 28, 2006
Hazel M. "Tommy" Ferguson, age 96 of Penn Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of the Butler Arbors Apartments died Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 3:45 p.m. at her residence.
Born February 18, 1910 in Avonmore, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late William Walker Galvin and the late Lettie Grace Hensel.
Mrs. Ferguson was a homemaker. She was a member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Lawrence A. (Marjorie) Kaufman of Butler, Pennsylvania; grandson, James A. and Tamara Kaufman of Butler, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Rebecca A. and Evan Alan Wimer of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; six great-grandchildren: Derek Kaufman, Zachary Kaufman, Natalie Wimer, Isaac Wimer, Julia Wimer, Samuel Wimer, and also by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her husband, Homer O. Ferguson whom she marriage on September 20, 1930 and who passed away on May 31, 1987 after celebrating 57 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by two sisters.
Private visitation and services were held at the convenience of the family. Entombment followed in Chapel of Devotion, Butler County Memorial Park.

Richard P. Syretz
February 4, 1935 - June 26, 2006
Richard Peter Syretz of Butler, Pennsylvania passed away Monday, June 26, 2006.
Born in Bridgeport Connecticut on February 4, 1935. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Butler.
Mr. Syretz is survived by his wife Joy Flinn Syretz, one son, Richard Syretz of Manassas, Virginia, two daughters, Mrs. Randall (Tracey) Kleinwaks of Randolph, New Jersey and Jill Wakely of Shelton, Connecticut, twelve grandchildren, one step-son, Bret Maxwell of Clarion, Pennsylvania, one step-daughter, Mrs. Charles (Fawn) Lavsa of Shaler Township, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by one son.
Friends and Family will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 on Thursday, June 29, 2006 from 1 to 3 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 3:00 p.m. with the Reverend Matthew Perkins of the Free Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania.
John Patrick Barry
February 1, 1926 - June 25, 2006
John Patrick Barry, age 80 of Broadway Avenue, East Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at 10:15 p.m. in the St. John's Specialty Care Center.
Born February 1, 1926 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Patrick Michael Barry and the late Leona Pauline Lawther.
Mr. Barry was a retired truck driver. He was a member of East Butler Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Army.
Mr. Barry is survived by daughter, Mrs. George (Penny) Dunbar son, Ralph Beck both of McDonald, Ohio; sister, Nellie Thompson of Butler, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Barry was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys I. Barry who passed away on January 9, 2001 and also by one brother and several sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Dorothy I. Sheffler

Dorothy I. Sheffler, age 85 of Concordia Lutheran Care, Marwood Road, Cabot, Pennsylvania, formerly of Springdale, Pennsylvania died Sunday, June 25, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Concordia Lutheran Care.
Born September 29, 1920 in Derry, Pennsylvania, Westmoreland County, she was the daughter of the late George Snoddy and the late Ola Heiple.
Mrs. Sheffler worked at Harmarville Rehabilitation Center. She was a longtime member of the Springdale United Methodist Church, Springdale, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Sheffler is survived by her husband, Robert B. Sheffler whom she marriage on July 13, 1939, by one son, Bruce Sheffler of Croton, New York; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Sheffler, Meredith Sheffler, Edward Sheffler; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sheffler was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and a sister.
