Mary Ellen Nulph, age 71, of 200 Lincoln Ave. Butler, Pennsylvania 16001, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 12:05 p.m. in the Chicora Medical Center.
Born in Butler, Pennsylvania on December 14, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Walter Leslie and Ellen Heade Leslie.
Mrs. Nulph was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was very active and involved in their bible study classes. She was also active in social events at the Butler Arbors. Mrs. Nulph was a graduate of Butler High School. She retired in 1996 from the activities department of Sunnyview Home.
Mrs. Nulph is survived by two sons Rich Nulph of Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania and Randy Nulph of Orlando, Florida, two daughters, Mary Ann Walchesky of Cabot, Pennsylvania and Barbara Mascilli of North Versailles, Pennsylvania, ten grandchildren, one brother, Donald Leslie of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister.
Friends and family of Mary Ellen Nulph will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 on Friday, April 27, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be from the First United Methodist Church, 200 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend J. David Panther of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mt. Chestnut, Pennsylvania.

Thomas Daniel "Tom" Beechey
June 4, 1931 - April 24, 2007
Thomas Daniel "Tom" Beechey, age 75 of Bramble Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, was ushered into the presents of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the Butler Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 6:15 a.m.
Born Saturday, July 4, 1931 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late James Beechey and the late Anna Hutchinson Beechey.
Following High School Tom served in the National Guard. In 1950 following this service he became employed by Hutchinson' Cleaners and ran a cleaning route throughout the county. In 1964 following the birth of his son Tom, he began working at Butler Armco in the Security department. He retired in 1991 after twenty-seven years of employment. During this time he also served as a deputy Butler County Coroner and worked part time for Young Funeral Home. Following his retirement from Armco, Tom began working at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., he worked there until 1998 when his health forced him to leave.
He was a member of Community Alliance Church where he was a former Elder, Deacon, and served on the Board of Directors. Mr. Beechey was a member of the Victory Lodge #694 F.& A.M., a former member of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle and of the Syria Shrine.
Mr. Beechey is survived by his wife, Gloria Lindell Beechey whom he marriage on February 27, 1959, by one son, Thomas (Tommy) Daniel Beechey, Jr. at home; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Geraldine Lindell of Butler, and by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Beechey was preceded in death by two brothers Adam (Dutch) Beechey and Edwin Beechey.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, April 26, 2007 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the Community Alliance Church on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dennis L. Krajacic of Community Alliance Church officiating. Interment will follow in Saxonburg Cemetery.

Frances I. Morrison, age 82 of Sunnyview Home, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 2:35 p.m. in the Sunnyview Home.
Born April 21, 1925 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Harry Sanford and the late Kathryn Sanford Beals.
Mrs. Morrison was a sales clerk for Woolworth's. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
Mrs. Morrison is survived by one son, Larry Morrison of Butler, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by her husband, John Morrison who passed away on June 25, 1987 and also by two sisters.
There will be no public visitation.
A Memorial Mass will be held at the St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with The Reverend Harry R. Bielewicz of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Members of the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 9:35 am. at the church.
John William "Jack" Kirkpatrick

John William "Jack" Kirkpatrick, age 86 of Clark Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, April 20, 2007 at 5:45 p.m. in the Sunnyview Home.
Born August 5, 1920 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Paul Kirkpatrick and the late Margaret Rumberger Kirkpatrick.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was the owner/operator for Kirkpatrick Sporting Goods and Luggage Store, in Butler, Pennsylvania. He was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a veteran of U.S. Army, serving in WW II.
Mr. Kirkpatrick is survived by his wife, Mary Gould (Badger) Kirkpatrick, one daughter, Carol Kirkpatrick of Butler, Pennsylvania; one son, Scott Kirkpatrick of Franklin, Pennsylvania; three great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Taylor (Jane) Hess of Kansas and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was preceded in death by one grandson and one brother.

Matthew E. Diehl, age 47 of Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 3:50 a.m. in the U.P.M.C. Presbyterian Hospital.
Born December 12, 1959 in Plymouth, Michigan he was the son of Darwin E. Diehl and Cherie Archambault Diehl.
Mr. Diehl was dealer principle for Diehl Automotive Group, Inc. He was Catholic by faith. In 2005, Mr. Diehl was named entrepreneur of the year by the Butler County Chamber of Commerce. He was the first winner of the award. Mr. Diehl, who started his career with General Motors Pontiac Division, became general manager of Preston Motors in New Castle. In 1995, Bob Preston and Mr. Diehl bought the Trostle Team, an automotive firm. In 2002, Diehl bought out Mr. Preston and formed the Diehl Automotive Group with dealerships on Route 8 south of Butler and in Franklin, Venango County.
Mr. Diehl is survived by his wife, Corina Straub Diehl, one son, Matthew Straub Diehl of Butler, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Rachel Straub Diehl of Butler, Pennsylvania; his parents, Darwin E. and Cherie Diehl of Troy, Michigan; three sisters, Jennifer and her husband Roger Templin, of Kansas, Bethann Waterstreet of Michigan, Laura and her husband Randy Brodzik of Michigan.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, April 20, 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with The Reverend Harry R. Bielewicz of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Mausoleum, Butler, Pennsylvania.
Members of the St. Paul's Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 9:35 a.m. at the church.

Leroy "Lee" Perry
July 8, 1922 - April 15, 2007
Leroy (Lee) Perry, age 84 of Chicora Road, Butler, 16001, died Sunday morning, April 15, 2007 in the Sunnyview Home.
Born July 8, 1922 in Butler County, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Walter Perry and the late Carma Cox Perry.
Mr. Perry was a steel cutter for Charles Horewitz and Sons. He began working for them at age 17 and after Mr. Horewitz passing he became part owner and worked there until very recently. Mr. Perry was a veteran of the United States Army. He also enjoyed working on small engines and watching baseball and hunting. Mr. Perry attended the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife, Doris Lynn Tishey Perry, whom he marriage on November 5, 1942, by three sons, Butch Perry of Butler, Pennsylvania, Randy Perry of Prospect, Pennsylvania, Bill Perry of Butler, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Perry was preceded in death by one great-grandson, two sisters and six brothers.
