Gladys E. Puls, age 92 of Concordia Lutheran Home, formerly of Pompano Beach, Florida, died Friday, July 7, 2006 in the Concordia Lutheran Home.
Born June 10, 1914 in Bolivia, she was the daughter of the late Johnson Turnbull and the late Mae Underwood.
Mrs. Puls was a homemaker, but also during periods of her life she worked as a nurse for different hospitals in the Pittsburgh area and other areas were she resided. She was of the protestant faith and belonged to several Baptist churches.
Mrs. Puls is survived by one son, Charles C. Knapp Jr. of Huntsville, Ontario, two daughters, Mrs. William (Katherine) McCormick of Butler, Pennsylvania and Gwendoline Knapp of West Chester, Pennsylvania, one step-son, Donald Puls of Winnetka, Illinois, one step-daughter, Ruth Ratajczak of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, thirteen grandchildren, six sisters and one brother, and by many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Puls was preceded in death by her first husband Charles C. Knapp, he passed away in 1963. She later marriage Elmer Puls who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three sisters.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services, burial will take place in Ontario, Canada.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania.
Dorothy M. Henricks
October 4, 1919 - July 7, 2006
Dorothy M. Henricks, age 86, of Mercer Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, July 7, 2006 at 3:58 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born October 4, 1919 in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Edward Thiele and Louise Lauer Thiele.
Mrs. Henricks was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and The King's Daughters Sunday Sunday School Class of the church. She loved to garden.
Mrs. Henricks is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clarence T. Henricks. They marriage October 16, 1940. Also surviving are two sons, Robert T. Henricks of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania and Ronald P. Henricks of Butler, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Mary) Smith of Homer City, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; a brother, Walter Thiele of Concordia Lutheran Home, and a number of nieces and nephews.
One brother preceded her in death.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, July 9, 2006 from 7 to 9 and Monday, July 10, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Robert W. Strobel of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Reverend A. Mark Larson

Reverend A. Mark Larson, age 83 of Hemlock Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at 7:22 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born January 15, 1923 in Bradford, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Ansel M. Larson and the late Emily Bolin.
Reverend Larson was a retired Wesleyan Minister. He was a member of the Rochester Wesleyan Church, Rochester, Pennsylvania. He began his first ministry at Eldred, Pennsylvania in 1944 then supplied other churches in four states, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and Indiana.
Reverend Larson is survived by his wife, Dorothy Fisher Larson whom he marriage on August 28, 1946, by two daughters, Dr. Lois Larson Johnson of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Bruce (Priscilla) Welsh of Darlington, Pennsylvania; four Grandchildren: Candice Welsh, Douglas Welsh, Charity Johnson, Mark Johnson, two Great-grandchildren, Austin and Alivia Young, two sisters, Reverend Ruth Stewart of Nashville, Tennessee, Rose Larson of Tecumseh, Michigan; two brothers, Reverend Paul J. Larson of Hamilton, Ohio, Reverend C. David Larson of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania and also by a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, July 7, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with his nephew, David Allen Larson of Athens Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Francis E. Mickey
January 30, 1937 - July 3, 2006
Francis E. "Buck" Mickey, age 69 of South Trail Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Monday, July 3, 2006 at 6:05 a.m. at his residence.
Born January 30, 1937 in Poplar Grove, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Harrison "Pete" Mickey and the late Hestor Davis.
Mr. Mickey was a retired foreman for US Steel, Saxonburg Plant. Following that he worked for Armstrong Cement in West Winfield. He also drove school bus for W. L. Roegnik. Mr. Mickey was a member of Nixon United Methodist Church. He was an avid Steeler fan, enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Mickey is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Steele Mickey whom he marriage on April 11, 1960, by one son, David F. Mickey of Butler, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Traci Mickey Necessary of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; grandchildren, Cheyenne Mickey, Dakota Mickey, Jacob Necessary; one brother, James Mickey of Butler, Pennsylvania; and two nieces.
Mr. Mickey was preceded in death by his son, Scott Mickey.

John Robert Lachendro
July 30, 1926 - July 3, 2006
John Robert Lachendro, age 79 of Passavant Retirement Center, Zelienople, Pennsylvania, formerly of North Duffy Road, Butler, Pennsylvania died Monday, July 3, 2006 at 2:12 p.m. in the Passavant Retirement Center.
Born July 30, 1926 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late John R. Lachendro and the late Cecilia Jesionowski.
Mr. Lachendro was in management for ATT, American Telephone and Telegraph retiring in June of 1988. He was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church, Zelienople, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and WW II. Mr. Lachendro was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Antique Airplane Association, and Experimental Aircraft Association He was also a member of the Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum, the American Model Association, and the Butler Area Radio Controlled Flyers. Mr. Lachendro was a volunteer driver for the Red Cross. He was an alumni of Central Catholic High School and Bliss Electric Technical School and Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics.
Mr. Lachendro is survived by his wife, Margaret McCarthy Lachendro, by daughter, Ruth Anne Lachendro of Grove City, Pennsylvania; five sons, James Richard Lachendro of Scotland, Stephen Julian Lachendro of Butler, Pennsylvania, Edward Michael Lachendro of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Michael Alan Lachendro of Reno, Nevada, Mark Timothy Lachendro of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; one brother, Leonard Lachendro of Lodi, California; one sister, Larraine Mutschler of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; sixteen grandchildren, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, July 6, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the St. Fidelis Catholic Church on Friday, July 7, 2006 at 12:00 noon with Father George Palick of St. Fidelis officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Henry E. Lage
May 25, 1917 - July 1, 2006
Henry E. Lage, age 89 of Kriess Road, Renfrew, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, July 1, 2006 at 12:40 a.m. in the Sunnyview Home.
Born May 25, 1917 in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin he was the son of the late Henry Lage and the late Anna Henning.
Mr. Lage was a retired operating engineer for Mashuda Construction Company. He was protestant by faith. Mr. Lage belonged to the Operating Engineer's local #66 of Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 8th Air Force and was a B-17 crew chief and fought in the European and Asiatic Theatres. Mr. Lage graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bird watching.
Mr. Lage is survived by his wife, Evelyn I. Korb Lage whom he marriage on December 9, 1950, and by wife, two sons, David E. Lage of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, William H. Lage of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lage was preceded in death by four brothers.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. J. David Panther of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Officers and members of VFW Post #249 will conduct Military Honor's at the Cemetery.
