Vernon L. Peterman Jr., age 63 of Third Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 17, 1943 in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania he was the son of Vernon L. Peterman, Sr. and Mary Louise Essig.
Mr. Peterman Jr. was a pipe fitter for Local #47.
Mr. Peterman Jr. is survived by his parents, Vernon and Mary Louise Peterman; one daughter and her husband, Tanya and Ben Waterman of Stephen City, Virginia; two granddaughters, Taylor Waterman, and Allison Waterman; one brother and his wife, John H. and Karen Peterman of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; one sister and her husband, Mrs. Jack (Janet) Frazier of Crossville, Tennessee; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania.
Doris A. Dillon
April 29, 1924 - September 20, 2006
Doris A. Dillon, age 82 of Oberlin Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 8:20 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 29, 1924 in New York City, New York she was the daughter of the late George L. Moore and the late Anna Hersing.
Mrs. Dillon was a homemaker. She was Catholic by faith.
Mrs. Dillon is survived by two daughters, Doreen Zablotsky, and Maryann Frazier both of Butler, Pennsylvania; one son, Robert J. Dillon of Staten Island, New York; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dillon was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Dillon who passed away on October 14, 1990 and also by one sister and one brother.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, September 22, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Christopher at the Lake, Prospect, Pennsylvania on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Matthew Tosello officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Ernest A. Kline, age 53 of Kaltenbaugh Road, Renfrew, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at 5:00 a.m. at his residence.
Born December 17, 1952 in Newark, Ohio he was the son of the late Charles F. Kline and the late Helen M. Conrad Kline.
Mr. Kline was a Project Manager/Vice-President for Basic Service, Inc. He enjoyed golfing and traveling.
Mr. Kline is survived by his wife, Karen A. Connolly Kline whom he marriage on December 27, 2004, and by two daughters, Valerie Kline of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, Michelle Anthony of Mentor on the Lake, Ohio; one step-daughter, Erica Wolukis of Hopewell, Pennsylvania; one step-son, Ian Hughes of St. Petersburg, Florida; one grandson, Dominick Clemmens; one step-grandson, Gaelen Brown; three brothers, Donald Kline of Mars, Pennsylvania, Gary Kline of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tim Kline of Butler, Pennsylvania; one sister, Bev Karns of Evans City, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Kline was preceded in death by his parents.

Thomas W. McPherson
August 17, 1938 - September 18, 2006
Thomas W. "Mac" McPherson, Sr., age 68 of Carbon Center Road, Fenelton, Pennsylvania, died Monday, September 18, 2006 at 6:53 p.m. in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born August 17, 1938 in Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Ralph McPherson and the late Eula Snyder.
Mr. McPherson worked in the tractor shop for AK Steel (Armco), retiring in 2000. He was Protestant by faith. He served in the U. S. Air Force. Mr. McPherson was a member of the Mason F.& A.M. #694, New Castle Consistory, Happy Hunters Sportsman’s Club, Butler County Horseshoe league. He was the World Champion Class M, Horseshoe Pitcher in 2002. Mr. McPherson was an avid hunter.
Mr. McPherson is survived by his wife, Marilyn Stiffler McPherson whom he marriage on November 8, 1958, by three sons, Thomas W. McPherson, Jr. of Fenelton, Pennsylvania, Ralph and Lori McPherson of Butler, Pennsylvania, John F. (Bones) and Debra McPherson of Dayton, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Connie) Hillberry of Fenelton, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Bruce (Karen) Edwards of Harmony, Pennsylvania; one sister, Mrs. Don (Connie) McElhaney of Fenelton, Pennsylvania; four brothers, Ronald McPherson of Butler, Pennsylvania, Richard McPherson of Meridian, Pennsylvania, John McPherson of Butler, Pennsylvania, Charlie McPherson of Butler, Pennsylvania.
Mr. McPherson was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary Holmes.

A Masonic Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 6:45 p.m.

Dolores M. Christy, age 71 of Chicora Medical Center, Chicora, Pennsylvania formerly of Broadway Avenue, East Butler, died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at 5:55 p.m. in the Chicora Medical Center.
Born January 17, 1935 in East Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Robert Christy and the late E. Pearl Dengler.
Miss Christy was a member of East Butler Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
Miss Christy is survived by one sister, Mrs. Vernon (Ben) Betty Lucille Ehrman; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Miss Christy was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

James E. Lefever
April 29, 1917 - September 14, 2006
James E. Lefever, age 89 of Hoffman Street, Renfrew, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. in the Saxony Health Center.
Born April 29, 1917 in Salem, Ohio he was the son of the late Floyd E. Lefever and the late Anna Wachsmuth.
Mr. Lefever was retired from Pullman-Standard. He was also a bricklayer mason. Mr. Lefever was a member of Connoquenessing United Methodist Church. He had been a head usher of his church. Mr. Lefever was a life member of the National Rifle Association, the Heritage Foundation and the Izaak Walton League of America. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and WW II and served in the South Pacific Theater.
Mr. Lefever is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margie Ifft of Evans City, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Jack (Doris) Bicehouse of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; one brother, Larrie Lefever of Renfrew, Pennsylvania and also by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lefever was preceded in death by one brother.
