Eugene Patrick Hays, age 76 of Hays Lane, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 10:50 p.m. in the Allegheny General Hospital.
Born September 11, 1930 in Chicora, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Joesph Hays and the late Mabel Rodgers.
Mr. Hays worked for Pullman Standard retiring in 1981. He was a member of East Butler Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Hays is survive by son, Randal L. Hays of Butler, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Regina R. Reges of Chicora, Pennsylvania, Terri L. Gumpp of Butler, Pennsylvania, Patricia A. Hays of Eau Claire, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three brothers, John Hays of Butler, Pennsylvania, Carl Hays of East Butler, Pennsylvania, Donald Hays of Chicora, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Helen Hickey of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Mary Hays of Chicora, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Hays was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Hays who passed away on June 5, 2006 and also by two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Monday, October 9, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Mary Sickles of East Butler Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Margaret E. Wyant Roudybush
May 18, 1916 - October 5, 2006
Margaret E. Wyant Roudybush, age 90 of Keck Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 7:55 a.m. at her residence.
Born May 18, 1916 in Washington Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Joseph Wyant and the late Charlotte Hodgson.
Mrs. Roudybush was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Butler Baptist Temple.
Mrs. Roudybush is survived by son, William James Roudybush and his wife Carole of Butler, Pennsylvania; two grandsons, William James Roudybush and his wife Whitney, Michael Douglas Roudybush and his wife Michelle; grand-daughter, Tammy Werner and her husband David; great-granddaughter, Meagan Roudybush; four great-grandsons, James Roudybush, Tyler Roudybush, Austin Roudybush, Evan Roudybush; and one future Great Grand-daughter, one brother, Joseph Wyant and his wife Dorie of Kittanning, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Lucille Samaj of Kittannning, Pennsylvania, Alberta Wyant of Kittanning, Pennsylvania and by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Roudybush was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold J. Roudybush and also by two brothers.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, October 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Kenneth McDeavitt of Butler Baptist Temple officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
William G. Douthett, IV
December 12, 1958 - October 4, 2006
“Digital Bill” died suddenly on Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the age of 47. Bill was the son of William Douthett, III of Butler and the late Helen Faust Douthett.
At the time of his death he was a self-employed computer consultant and self-professed “Mac Geek”. Bill was well known in the Macintosh community and a great outpouring of Internet posting has followed his death. In one of these he is described as “one of the good guys, a gentle soul with a warm laugh, who would go out of his way to lend anyone some help if they needed it. He helped us many, many times with all sorts of problems, from html to the mysteries of Mac OS X, and he made us laugh. He was a true geek in many ways . . . inquisitive, knowledgeable, always wanting to learn new things. He made our world a better place to laugh in. He will be sadly missed.” Bill and a partner pioneered and hosted a “podcasting” show on the Internet at www.wizardsoftechnology.com, which had over 15, 000 subscribers worldwide.
In addition to his passion for computers and all things digital, Bill was passionate about music. He had handled sound and lighting engineering for a number of bands in the Pittsburgh and Fort Lauderdale areas. He had a prodigious collection of music of all kinds.
Bill grew up in Butler and graduated from Butler High School and Butler County Community College with a degree in Computer Science. He also had a degree from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Television Production where he was named the Most Outstanding member of his class.
Bill was active in the Lorraine Chapter, Order of DeMolay, held the Chevallier Degree and was noted for his rendition of “the Flower Talk” to initiates. He was also active in Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church before moving to Florida.
Surviving are his father of Butler, a brother and sister-in-law, the Reverends David and Molly Douthett of West Virginia, a niece Meredith and a nephew Jacob. Also surviving are an uncle and aunt, Bill and Carol Faust, and aunt Jeanne Wilson and four cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 East Jefferson Street, Butler, Pennsylvania and also in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, October 14, 2006. The family will receive friends at the church following the October 10th service.
Memorial donations may be made to the ongoing hurricane relief by Presbyterian Disaster Assistance in care of the church.

Albert F. Hilliard

Albert F. Hilliard, age 84 of Moraine Drive, Portersville, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 8:15 p.m. in the Silver Oakes Nursing Home, New Castle.
Born May 4, 1922 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late William Hilliard and the late Bertha Stevens.
Mr. Hilliard was a crane operator for Armco Steel for 30 plus years. He was protestant by faith. Mr. Hilliard was a veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Army where he received the Purple Heart and an honorable discharge.
Mr. Hilliard is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Michael (Mary Ellen) Halahurich of Butler, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers, Russell Hilliard of Butler, Pennsylvania, Robert Hilliard of Niles, Ohio, Richard Hilliard of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania; one sister, Mrs. Dale (Shirley) Ealy of Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hilliard was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Hilliard whom he marriage on February 21, 1947, and who passed away on May 8, 2006. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, three sisters and five brothers.

Fred Zorb
September 3, 1923 - November 29, 2006
Fred G. Zorb, age 83, of East Christie Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 12:45 p.m. in the Sunnyview Home.
Born September 3, 1923 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Irving S. Zorb and the late Elda Graham.
Mr. Zorb was a Butler City Fire Chief retiring in 1981. He was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as an aircraft mechanic, stationed in Florida. He was a founding member of Butler County's 911 system where he continued to serve. Mr. Zorb received the Hall of Fame voter award for 50 consecutive voting years.
Mr. Zorb is survived by his second wife, Hilda Kipper Keck Zorb whom he marriage on May 4, 1994, and by two daughters, Mary Lee Harmon of Kingsport, Tennessee, Susan Zorb of Boston, Massachusetts; two grandsons, Jon Harmon, Todd Harmon; one sister, JoAnne Bauman of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Zorb was preceded in death by his first wife Cora May who passed away in 1992. He was preceded in death also by a son, Fred Zorb, Jr. in 1969, a brother Irving, Jr. and a sister Helen Zorb.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, December 1, 2006 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, December 2, 2006 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 to 3 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Merry H. Meloy, of St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery.

Stanley K. Kerr
October 28, 1921 - November 28, 2006
Stanley K. Kerr, age 85 of Cherokee Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at 8:50 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born October 4, 1921 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Aaron Kennedy Kerr and the late Ella Mae Osler Kerr.
Mr. Kerr was a manager for Stan's Pennzoil and E.P. Green's Garage. He was also a dispatcher of shipping and receiving for John R. Ellison and Sons, he then went to work for George Kerr as a warehouse manager. Mr. Kerr retired in 1998. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Kerr was an Army drill sergeant serving during WW II. He served on the school board of First Baptist Church School for over 10 years. He was the secretary and treasurer of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and a member of the Berean Sunday School Class.
Mr. Kerr is survived by one daughter, Gail Kerr, one son, Dennis L. Kerr both of Butler, Pennsylvania; one granddaughter, one sister, Mary Grossman of Meridian, Pennsylvania and by many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kerr was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis L. Kerr whom he marriage on August 24, 1951 and who passed away on December 17, 2003. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, four brothers and four sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, December 1, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
