Lois E. Bouch, 103 of North Main Street, Butler, died Thursday, October 9, 2003 in at her residence.
Born October 5, 1900 in Slate Lick, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of William Palmer Robinson and Mary Elizabeth McGeary.
Mrs. Bouch graduated from Grove City College, Class of 1922. She was formerly a schoolteacher for South Brownsville High School and Latrobe High School. She was a member of the Butler Garden Club, Pittsburgh Garden Center, and the Butler Country Club. She enjoyed playing bridge.
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews by marriage.
Her husband, Matthew L. Bouch, whom she marriage on October 3, 1925, passed away on August 1, 1987.
There will be no visitation or funeral service.

Dorothy S. McKee
March 25, 1906 - October 9, 2003
Dorothy S. McKee age 97 of St John's Lutheran Care Center, Mars, Pennsylvania formerly of Rural Valley, Armstrong County and Butler, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday, October 9, 2003 at 4:50 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Care Center.
Born in Rural Valley, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania on March 25, 1906. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Gilmore Shaeffer and Sabina Geiger. Mrs. McKee was preceded in death by her husband John Vincent "Red" McKee on February 24, 1972.
Mrs. McKee along with her husband built, owned and managed the McKee Motel on Rt. 422 West. Following the death of her husband Mrs. McKee continued to manage the motel until 1983 when the motel was sold. She had worked at the A&P Grocery Store for twenty-seven years previous to building the McKee Motel.
Formerly a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Butler, Mrs. McKee moved to Rural Valley and became a member of the Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church in 1977. She returned to Butler in 1984. Mrs. McKee was a member of the Maqueda Chapter #421 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Order of the Amaranth. In 1993 Mrs. McKee moved to New Haven Court in Zelienople, Pennsylvania and in 1998 she moved to St. John's Lutheran Care Center in Mars, Pennsylvania where she resided until her death.
Mrs. McKee has no surviving family members. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends of Dorothy S. McKee will be received at The Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc. on Monday, October 13, 2003 from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Monday at 4:00 p.m. with the Reverend Randy Gullickson and Reverend Patrick Maier Officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Union Cemetery Near Rural Valley, Pennsylvania.
Martha E. Wensel
February 21, 1925 - October 8, 2003
Martha E. Wensel, 78 of Butler, died Wednesday, October 8, 2003 in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born February 21, 1925 in Yatesboro, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Enoch Ball and Margaret Hawley.
She was a homemaker. She was a Presbyterian by faith. Mrs. Wensel enjoyed camping at Plantation Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Richard E. (Linda) Mealy of Butler, Pennsylvania, one son, William R. Wensel of Walnutport, Pennsylvania, Three Grandchildren, Three Great- Grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Beatrice Sprake of Erie, Pennsylvania, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband William J. Wensel, who passed away in March of 1992, two daughters, two brothers, and three sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Saturday, October 11, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Sunday, October 12, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Cloyd Osborne Officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Keith Ryan Chuhra
January 31, 1982 - October 6, 2003
Keith Ryan Chuhra, age 21of Shelocta, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, October 6, 2003 at 6:40 p.m. as a result of an automobile accident.
Born January 31, 1982 he was the son of Barry M. Chuhra of Sarver, Pennsylvania and Kimberly A. Smart Adams of Ford City, Pennsylvania.
He was a graduate of Butler Intermediate High School and Glen Mills Academy. He was very active in Butler Area Baseball and Butler Area Midget Football and enjoyed fishing. Keith was employed as a landscaper with Ellenberger Lawn Care.
Keith is survived by his father, Barry M. Chuhra of Sarver, Pennsylvania and his mother, Kimberly A. Smart Adams of Ford City, Pennsylvania, one brother, Craig M.Chuhra with whom he made his home, two sisters Amanda Sims Chuhra and Leanna Sims Chuhra of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, his maternal grandparents David and Joanne Ellenberger of Butler, Pennsylvania, his maternal great-grandfather, Donald Stewart, three aunts: Dawna McDeavitt of Lyndora, Pennsylvania, Sharon Hall and Amy Blair of Butler, Pennsylvania, one uncle, Jim Smart and his wife Gretchen of Butler, three cousins: Timothy McDeavitt of Lyndora, Ethan and Devan Smart of Butler, Pennsylvania, three aunts, one great aunt and three great uncles.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather and great grandmother.
Friends and Family of Keith Chuhra will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc. on Friday, October 10, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral Services will be from the funeral home on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Richard Jenks of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Cochrans Mills Cemetery.

Frances L. Shawkey
Frances L. Shawkey, of Lumar Village, Butler, died Sunday, November 30, 2003 at 8:35 p.m. at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of George S. Leith and Jeanne Hill.
Mrs. Shawkey was a retired school teacher for the Butler Area School District. She was a member of North Street Christian Church.
Mrs. Shawkey is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lillian Shaffer of Butler, Pennsylvania, three nieces, Nancy Bonnett, Sally Beals, Maxine Jackson, and one nephew, Charles Leith.
Mrs. Shawkey is preceded in death by her husband Merrill Shawkey, who passed away on August 5, 1983 and by two brothers and one niece.
There will be no public visitation
Entombment will follow in Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park.
Boyd F. Beatty
March 18, 1925 - November 30, 2003
Boyd F. Beatty, 78 of Villa Drive, Butler, died Sunday, November 30, 2003 at 11:35 p.m. at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 18, 1925 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Boyd G. Beatty and Irene E. Frederick.
Mr. Beatty worked for many years in the Aerospace Industry with G-L Electronics and Teleflex in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Most recently he was was an insurance agent for Paul Critchlow Insurance Agency. He was a life member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Mr. Beatty was an alumni of Butler High School class of 1943 and Thiel College class of 1949. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and WW II, serving with the Seabees in the Aleutian Islands. Mr. Beatty was a member of Victory Lodge #694 F & AM and VFW Post #249.
Mr. Beatty is survived by his wife, Marilynn C. Beatty, one daughter, Mrs. Sean (Lisa) Smarick of Monroeville, Pennsylvania, one son, William S. Beatty of Denver, Colorado, one sister, Mrs. Edith Winters of Butler, Pennsylvania, and one niece and one nephew.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
