Julia Cuffman, 95 of Butler, died Saturday, November 15, 2003 in Sunnyview Home.
Born October 31, 1908 in Lyndora, PA, she was the daughter of Shandan Doctor and Julie Wals.
During WW11, Mrs. Cuffman was employed in the Pullman Standard Shop and she also worked at the Spade Shirt Factory. She was a licensed practical nurse and she practiced private duty care in the Butler area. She was a member of the L.P.N. Association.
Surviving are her two sons, Donald L. Cuffman and Earl L. Cuffman both of Butler, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, a brother, Geza Doctor of Renfrew, PA, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband Earl L. Cuffman, Sr. who died August 10, 1976, one grandson, one sister and four brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Monday November 17, 2003 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Monday November 17, 2003 at 9:00 p.m with the Reverend Dennis Molnar officiating. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Burial Estates on Tuesday November 18, 2003.
Ethel F. Green

Ethel F. Green, 90 of Hindman Road, formerly of Third Avenue, Butler, died Sunday, November 9, 2003 at Sunnyview Home.
Born June 21, 1913 in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Raymond Bowser and Myrtle Bowser.
She was retired for G. C. Murphy's. Mrs. Green was a member of the First Baptist church, Women's Missionary Society and the Truth Seeker's Sunday School class at First Baptist Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Jack (Margie) Van Gorder, Mrs. John (Merna) Patten both of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Harold (Norma) Huber, Mrs. David (Joyce) Shaw both of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Mrs. Ronald (Carol) Bowen of Sterling, Virginia, one son, James A. Green of Butler, Pennsylvania, Sixteen Grandchildren, Twenty-two Great- Grandchildren, One Great-Great-Grandchild, One Step Great-Great Grandchild, and a number of niece and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband James Green, who passed away in 1971, three sisters and two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Tuesday, November 11, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend David Maitland Officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Pearl E. Broad, 94 of Mineral Point, Madison, Wisconsin, formerly of American Avenue, Butler died Saturday, November 8, 2003 at Oakwood Retirement Community, Madison, Wisconsin.
Born August 10, 1909 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of John Harrison and Jane Broadbent.
She was retired as an administrative assistant for Sunnyview Nursing Home. She attended North Main Street Church of God. Mrs. Broad was a former Judge of Elections for the city of Butler for many years.
Mrs. Broad is survived by two daughters, Judith E. Broad of Madison, Wisconsin, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Hurley of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Two Grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband Charles F. Broad, who passed away in 1988, one sister and one brother.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.

Carl R. (Butch) Lawhead, 48 of North High Street, Zelienople, Pennsylvania died Friday, November 7, 2003 at 8:30 p.m. at his residence.
Born December 24, 1954 in Champaign, Illinois, he was the son of Robert P. Lawhead, Sr. and Sally Ann McConnell.
Mr. Lawhead worked for Wright Meat Packing Company, Fombell, Pennsylvania. He was Protestant by faith.
Mr. Lawhead is survived by his companion, Mary Rose Reese, and her nephew and niece Tommy and Nina Balistrieri of Zelienople, Pennsylvania, whom they made their home with Mr. Lawhead. Also surviving is one brother, Robert P. "Bob" Lawhead, Jr. of Butler, Pennsylvania, six sisters, Mrs. Billie Kerr of Chicora, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Timothy (Dot) Imhof of Butler, Pennsylvania, Kristine Lawhead of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Jason (Robin) Thompson of Butler, Pennsylvania, Kimberly Lawhead of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Walter (Ginny) Melnik of Butler, Pennsylvania, Twenty-one Nieces and Nephews, and Six Great-Nieces and Nephews.
Preceding him in death was two brothers and one nephew.

Doris Dittmer Forbs Mechling, 89 of Butler, died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born June 14, 1914 in Butler, PA, she was the daughter of George Albert Dittmer and Adda Ethel Garrard.
She attended St. Peter's Parochial School and was a graduate of Butler High School.
Mrs. Mechling worked for Jaffee's in the better dress department for 30 years.
Mrs. Mechling was a member of Middlesex Presbyterian Church, Lake Arthur Country Club and the Women's Wednesday Golf League.
She is survived by a daughter, Antoinette Forbes Tomko, and is the aunt of Gail Ciccarello, Melissa, Geoffry and Beth Gitlin, Lynne Wells and Sharon Day.
Preceding her in death were her husband John Laing Forbes, who was deceased in August 19, 1973, two sisters and also her second husband, Thomas Fritz Mechling, deceased in 1987.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, from Sunday November 9, 2003 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Anna G. Camp, 80 of Butler, died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 in Sunnyview Home.
Born November 23, 1922 in Foxburg, PA, she was the daughter of Charles E. Gerber and Edna Ion.
Mrs. Camp was employed as an elementary schoolteacher for Foxburg, Institute Hill and McQuiston schools.
She was a member of Butler Chapter # 45 of the Order Of The Eastern Star, Butler Retired Teachers, and Pennsylvania Retired Schoolteachers. Mrs. Camp was a former member of the Order of Rainbow for Girls governing council and a past mother advisor.
Surviving are her husband John N. Camp, Jr., whom she marriage August 24, 1946 and her daughter, Johnanna Camp of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
Preceding her in death was her aunt.
