Wilma Geraldine Plaisted, 89 formerly of Dutchtown Road, Butler, died Sunday, February 15, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. in Rockdale Personal Care Home.
Born May 3, 1914 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Gilbert W. Fleeger and Stella Westerman.
Mrs. Plaisted was a homemaker.
Surviving are one son, Ralph D. Plaisted of Butler, Pennsylvania, one granddaughter, and one great grandson.
Mrs. Plaisted was preceded in death by her husband Roy Thomas Plaisted who passed away on February 5, 2004 and four brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, February 17, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday February 18, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend David Fisher of Homeacre Chapel officiating.
Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Lucille M. Wolfe
October 13, 1910 - February 16, 2004
Lucille M. Wolfe, 93 formerly of Butler, died Monday, February 16, 2004 in Chicora Medical Center.
Born October 13, 1910 in Chicora, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Howard P. Wolfe and Freda Bruner.
Miss Wolfe was a licensed practical nurse for Butler Memorial Hospital retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church of Saxonburg. She enjoyed traveling and doing handwork such as knitting and embroidery as well as ceramics.
Miss Wolfe is survived by one sister, Mrs. Jeanne W. (Donald) Carlson of Palatine, Illinois, one nephew, Donald B. Carlson, Jr. of LaPorte, Illinois, two nieces, Mrs. Deborah (William) Rounds of Grandville, Illinois, Mrs. Carolyn (Kenneth) Zintak of Granville, Illinois, a number of Grandnieces and Grandnephews, and one cousin, Allene Montag.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, February 19, 2004 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Friday, February 20, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Charles L. Yonker
November 20, 1934 - February 16, 2004
Charles L. Yonker, 69 of Freeport Road, Butler, died Monday, February 16, 2004 at 8:15 p.m. at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born November 20, 1934 in Daguscahonda, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Edward J. Yonker and Beulah Wayland Yonker Kerestes.
Mr. Yonker worked in Information Services Group for Oberg Mfg. retiring in 1999. He previously worked at Magnetics. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He served on the Summit Township Planning Commission. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Mr. Yonker was a member of the National Rifle Association. He is an alumni of the Butler High School class of 1952.
Mr. Yonker is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Duane (Patty A.) Reott of Butler, Pennsylvania, two sons, Edward L. Yonker of Fenelton, Pennsylvania, Timothy J. Yonkers of Butler, Pennsylvania, Eight Grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Beulah Wayland Yonker Kerestes, five sisters, Mrs. William (Janet) Alvey of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Mrs. William (Judy) Warhola of Westminister, Colorado, Mrs. Joseph (Linda) Varos of Sarasota, Florida, Mrs. Lee (Avanell) Mock of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, Mrs. William (Mary Ellen) Thomas of Matthews, North Carolina, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Yonker is preceded in death by his wife, Janet L. Gallagher Yonker, his father and step-father.

Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Reverend Thomas M. Pierotti officiating on Friday, February 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Clair "Bus" Wise

Clair "Bus" Wise, 82 of West Jefferson Street, Butler, died Friday, February 20, 2004 in Butler V A Medical Center.
Born March 19, 1921 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Alvin P. Wise and Alice Monks.
He was employed as an electrician in construction for the County of Butler at Sunnyview Home.
Mr. Wise was a member of Summit United Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post 249 and American Legion Post 117. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and WWII.
Surviving are three sons, Alvin L. Wise of Fenelton, Pennsylvania, Michael V. Wise of The Woodlands, Texas, Dennis G. Wise of Butler, Pennsylvania, eight Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Helen Campbell of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Florence Leslie of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Martha Herold of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Joan Bachman of Butler, Pennsylvania, one brother, Raymond Wise of Butler, Pennsylvania, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Willa Mae Rice Wise, who was deceased on August 2, 1991, one sister and two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, from Sunday February 22, 2004 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Monday February 23, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Brewer of Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Summit United Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Ethel S. Russell
February 29, 1928 - February 21, 2004
Ethel S. Russell, 75, of Mar Vel Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died February 21, 2004 at 4:45 P.M. at the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She was born at Bell Mountain, Pennsylvania on February 29, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Reverend George L. and Ethel S. Walton Sweet.
Mrs. Russell attended the Community Alliance Church. She was an alumni of Camptown High school class of 1945. She graduated from the Lackawana Beauty School in 1946. She owned and operated Ethel's Beauty Shoppe in Towanda, Pennsylvania for several years and then became a Secretary at Claverack Electric Company in Towanda, until her marriage to Arthur Russell, Jr. on February 17, 1951.They were marriage 53 years. Because of her husband's work as a foreman with the Lane Construction Company, they moved 50 times and lived in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland, and Kentucky, before retiring in Butler, Pennsylvania in 2000. They always joined a local Baptist Church in each new location where, she used her musical talents as pianist, singer, and Sunday school teacher. She loved playing hymns on piano and organ, singing, sewing, reading and gardening.
Mrs. Russell is survived by her husband Arthur Russell, Jr., a son Stephen Russell and his wife Carol of Butler, Pennsylvania, two daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Elizabeth) Blow of Downington, Pennsylvania and Mrs. Brian (Carol) O'Donnell of Irmo, South Carolina. Seven Grandchildren, Michael Blow of San Jose, California, Timothy Blow of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Jonathan Blow of Downington, Pennsylvania, Stacey and Stephanie Russell of Butler, And Amy and Aaron O'Donnell of Irmo, South Carolina. Three brother, George Sweet of Johnson City, New York, Reverend Burtt Sweet of Hammond, New York, and Walter Sweet of Walton, Kentucky and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends of the late Ethel S. Russell will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, on Tuesday, February 24, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home with the Reverend Robert Thomas, of Community Alliance Church officiating. Interment will be private.
Richard M. LeFever
May 20, 1915 - February 21, 2004
Richard M. LeFever, 88 of Valencia Woods Nursing Center, formerly of Steppland Road, Butler, died Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 11:45 p.m. in Valencia Woods Nursing Center.
Born May 20, 1915 in Middlesex Township, Pennsylvania, he was the son of William David LeFever and Irene Isabell Criner.
Mr. LeFever was a Electrician in the Power Department at Armco for 41 years. He was a member of Nixon United Methodist Church. He was a member of the #694 Victory Lodge F & AM, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle, Butler Shrine Luncheon Club, Syria Temple of Pittsburgh, Butler Caravan Club #14, the Acacia Club, Armco Veterans Club, Veteran of the U. S. Army serving in WW II in the Asiatic/Pacific Theatre. He was a graduate of Penn Township High School class of 1935.
Mr. LeFever is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. LeFever was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Anna LeFever, who passed away on February 25, 1992 and by three brothers.
