William Apple Donnel, 92 of North Elm Street, Butler, died Sunday, February 22, 2004 at 10:20 a.m. in Passavant Retirement Center.
Born August 10, 1911 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Edward V. Donnel and Roberta Grace Sipe.
Mr. Donnel worked in the Industrial Engineering Department for Armco retiring in 1974 after 37 years. He was a dedicated husband and Father. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Butler. He was also a member of the Armco Veterans Management Club, Tanglewood Senior Citizens Center of Butler, one of Tanglewoods founders, former chairman/director of Tour Committee and chaperoned many trips. Mr. Donnel was an alumni of Butler Area High School Class of 1929 and he attended Penn State Main Campus, and an avid Penn State Fan.
Mr. Donnel is survived by his wife, Frances Dumbaugh Donnel, whom he marriage on June 2, 1937 four sons, William E. Donnel of Butler, Pennsylvania, Robert C. Donnel of Butler, Pennsylvania, Curtis L. Donnel of Springfield, Virginia, Douglas C. Donnel of Warner Robins, Georgia, one daughter, Mrs. Russell (Karen E.) Donnel-Ottney of Harmony, Pennsylvania, Eleven Grandchildren, Fifteen Great-Grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Donnel was preceded in death by his one son, David Alan and by two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, February 24, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. with The Reverend J. David Panther Officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Grace Kreuer Wilson
October 31, 1910 - February 24, 2004
Grace Kreuer Wilson, 93 of Charles Street, Butler, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at 3:03 a.m. in UPMC Passavant, North Hills.
Born October 31, 1910 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Joseph A. Kreuer and Magdalene Brown.
Mrs. Wilson was a self employed licensed practical nurse. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mrs. Wilson belonged to the Golden Agers and the Catholic Daughters. She graduated from Divine Providence Academy and was an alumni of Franklin School of Nursing.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert W. (Maddie) Riddell of Butler, Pennsylvania, two sons, Paul H. Wilson of Kingston, Massachusetts, Joseph H. Wilson, Virginia, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Rita Harding of Erie, Pennsylvania, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by her husband Walter Herr Wilson, who passed away on May 21, 1984, six brothers and one sister.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, February 26, 2004 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Blessing Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday, February 26, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Lawrence L. Smith age 75 of Constitution Avenue Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania 16027 passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2004 in his home.
Born in East Butler, Pennsylvania on May 11, 1928, he was the son of the late Carl F. Smith and Zelma Roudybush Smith.
Mr. Smith was retired as a heavy equipment operator from the Kerry Coal Co. in Porterville, Pennsylvania. He attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania. He was a member of Victory Lodge # 694 F. & A. M.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Geraldine Verlee Henshaw Smith whom he marriage on November 12, 1948, one son, Larrel Smith of Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania two daughters, Ms. Linda Lee Smith and Mrs. Richard (Carol) Howryla both of Butler, Pennsylvania, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Theodore (Martha) Cumberland of Bradenton, Florida, three brothers, Leroy Smith and Robert Smith of Butler, Pennsylvania, Paul Smith of Clarion, Pennsylvania, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Friends and family of Lawrence L. Smith will be received at THE THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME 124 EAST NORTH ST. BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA 16001 on Thursday, February 26, 2004 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, February 27, 2004 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Funeral Services will follow from the funeral home on Friday at 4:00 p.m. with the Reverend Norman Tutino, pastor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ officiating. Interment will take place in Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township

Harry M. Petsinger
October 8, 1918 - February 24, 2004
Harry M. Petsinger, Jr., 85 of Gibsonia, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004 in U.P.M.C. Passavant Hospital.
Born October 8, 1918 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Harry M. Petsinger, Sr. and Bertha K. Smith Petsinger.
Mr. Petsinger was raised in Butler, Pennsylvania. He became a branch manager for Mellon Bank and served at several of their branches. He retired in 1983 in the position of one of the vice presidents for Mellon Bank. He was a member of The Memorial Park Presbyterian Church in Allison Park, Pennsylvania.
He was veteran of the Army Air Corp. serving as a P-47 Fighter pilot during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Lois Mock Petsinger whom he marriage on December 2, 1950, one son, Douglas Eric Petsinger of Decatur, Georgia, one grandson, Steven Petsinger of Decatur, Georgia, two brothers, John W. Petsinger of and James L. Petsinger both of Butler, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his sister, Mary Ann Napora and his brother, Robert Petsinger.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday February 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend John Hollingsworth of The Memorial Park Presbyterian Church officiating.
Kathryn L. Walker
December 22, 1918 - February 25, 2004
Kathryn L. Walker, age 85 of Saxony Health Care Center, Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, formerly of Renfrew, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at 1:40 A.M. in the Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania.
Born in Sistersville, Tyler County, West Virginia on December 22, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Brady M. Placer and Bessie F. Meeks Placer.
Mrs. Walker was a homemaker. She was marriage to Raymond P. Walker he preceded her in death on August 28, 1956
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Joyce) Mock of Butler and Miss Betty Walker of Portersville, Pennsylvania, four sons, Robert C. Emerick of Sarasota, Florida, George B. Emerick of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, Ronald L. Emerick of Columbiana, Ohio and Wallace L. Walker of Phoenix, Arizona, nineteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one son, one grandchild, three great grandchildren and one brother.
Private visitation and funeral services will be held. Internment will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates Mount Chestnut, Pennsylvania
Hazel C. Lackey
July 2, 1916 - February 25, 2004
Hazel C. Lackey, 87 formerly of Meridian and Arcadia, Florida died Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at 1:45 p.m. in Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony, Pennsylvania.
Born July 2, 1916 in Chicora, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Charles Seybert and Katherine O'Brien.
She was a homemaker. Mrs. Lackey was a member of Meridian United Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #45. Mrs. Lackey was a former member of the Meridian Fireman's Auxiliary, a member of the Buttercup Garden Club, the Sarah Elizabeth Missionary Circle of her church. She spent her summers living at the Buttercup Camp Ground. She was an avid bingo and card player.
Mrs. Lackey is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Sally) Pichler, Mrs. Robert (Jeanne) Potochny of both of Butler, Pennsylvania, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Hoover of Arizona, Mrs. Louella Diefenderfer of California, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lackey was preceded in death by her husband Oscar C. Lackey, who passed away on May 19, 1992, by two brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.
