Paul W. Stephenson, age 77, of Villa Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of Meridian died Saturday, January 6, 2007 at his residence.
Born April 1, 1929 in Butler Township, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late William S. Stephenson and the late Ruth E. Davis Stephenson.
Mr. Stephenson was a Locomotive Crane Operator for AK Steel in the Transportation Department, retiring in 1991 after 35 years of service. He was the former manager of the Yankees baseball team originally known as the Meridian Little League. Served on the advisory board of Butler Rainbow Girls and was assistant manager and manager of the Meridian Fife and Drum Corps. He took that Corp. to Romania in 1973. He was a member of United Commercial Travelers #465 and was Past Grand Councilor of PA. Also a member of Armco Veteran's Club and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Mr. Stephenson is survived by his wife Susan J. (Robb) Stephenson; two step-sons, Mark G. Snyder of Korea, Steven D. Snyder of Morehead, Kentucky; a step-grandson, Alex Snyder of Richmond, Virginia; a sister, Mrs. Glenn (Mildred) McClelland of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Stephenson was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Monday, January 8, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Alden Towberman from St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Mitilda Joan "Tillie" McCandless
July 30, 1933 - January 5, 2007
Matilda Joan (Tillie) McCandless, age 73 of New Castle St., Butler, Pennsylvania, died at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2007 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 30, 1933 in Ellwood City, PA she was the daughter of the late Dominic DiCampli and the late Adeline Trivilino.
Mrs. McCandless was retired from P.A.R.C. in Butler, Pennsylvania and had also worked for Children's Rehabilitation. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. McCandless enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and playing bingo.
Mrs. McCandless is survived by two sons, Robert K. and his wife Joanne Wymer, Sr., Chuck Selelyo; two grandsons, Robert K. Wymer, Jr., Terence Wymer and a granddaughter, Cassidy Wymer; all of Butler, Pennsylvania, also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Brett and Razmine; two sisters, Mrs. Camilla Fellner of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Mary Good of Houston, Texas; one brother, Nick DiCampli of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania; and also by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McCandless was preceded in death by one sister Gilda Ierace.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania.
Members of the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
John M. Robb
April 12, 1914 - January 3, 2007
John M. Robb, age 92 of Lowrie House, Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of Westwood Manor died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 2:55 p.m. in the Lowrie House.
Born April 12, 1914 in Prospect, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Oliver W. Robb and the late Cora McLure.
Mr. Robb was graduated from Peekskill Military Academy in Peekskill, New York and he attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He was a senior accountant with Armco Steel Corporation, Butler works and retired in 1976 after 42 years of service. A long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Butler, he served as treasurer and youth director and sang in the choir.
Mr. Robb is survived by his wife of 70 years, Catherine V. Smoyer Robb whom he marriage on January 31, 1936, and by three sons, John William Robb of Naples, Florida, James Nelson Robb of Corry, Pennsylvania, David Bruce Robb of Key West, Florida; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Robb was preceded in death by one sister.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the North Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania.

Donna M. Weaver
March 7, 1938 - January 3, 2007
Donna M. Weaver, age 68 of Germaine Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 9:38 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 7, 1938 in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Brooks Divins and the late Freeda Blair Divins.
Ms. Weaver was a broker and sales associate for Collins Realty and an associate at Boscov's in the Clearview Mall. She was a Butler High School graduate, class of 1956 and she attended Butler County Community College, earning her associates degree.
Ms. Weaver is survived by two daughters, Kimberley Judd of Dearborn, Michigan, and Lia Weiland of DuBois, Pennsylvania; two sons, Ronald Weaver of Bethlehem, Georgia, and Kurt Weaver of Butler, Pennsylvania; by thirteen grandchildren; and one brother, Gary Divins of Clarion, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Weaver was preceded in death by one son and one brother.
A Memorial Services will be held at the North Butler Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Mary Sickels of North Butler Presbyterian Church officiating.

Elden Howard Walker

Elden Howard Walker, age 90 of Highland Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 11:37 p.m. in the Sunnyview Home.
Born February 18, 1917 in Evans City, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Edwin Bennett Walker and the late Sylvia Elinora McCandless Walker.
Mr. Walker was a self-employed trucker. He attended Seventh Day Adventist church. Mr. Walker was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WW II in New Guinea, Luzon, and the Southern Philippines. He enjoyed baseball, fishing and hunting.
Mr. Walker is survived by four sons, Richard Walker, Dennis Walker, Terry Walker, Bradley Walker; three daughters, Sandra Meier, Deborah Walker, Jyll Clouse; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ruth Oesterling Walker whom he marriage on March 3, 1943 and who passed away on February 14, 2003, and by one son, Douglas Walker, six brothers and four sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 3, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at Community Alliance Church on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Thomas of Community Alliance Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Wallace B. Nulph
April 8, 1913 - February 27, 2007
Wallace B. "Bing" Nulph, age 93 of Concordia Lutheran Center formerly of Nulph Lane, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, 27, 2007 at 5:58 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 8, 1913 in Templeton, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late John Nulph and the late Lucinda Hankey.
Mr. Nulph was a welder for Pullman-Standard, retiring in 1975 after 20 years of service. He was a member of Christ Outreach Church. Mr. Nulph graduated from East Brady High School. He served in the Army, in the 67th Signal repair company during WW II, he served in the Atlantic and Pacific theater and in occupied Japan for 6 months. He was one of the organizers of the Blazing Star Camping Club, a member of A.A.R.P and the Butler American Legion.
Mr. Nulph is survived by his second wife, Mary Williams Nulph and by daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Carol) McEvoy of Butler, Pennsylvania; three sons, David Nulph of Butler, Pennsylvania, Gary Nulph of Haegerstown, Maryland, Larry Nulph of Butler, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Lelia Revetti of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, and Mary Newton, Wampum, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Nulph was preceded in death by his first wife, LaVere W. McGrody, who passed away on December 31, 1997 and by seven sisters and eight brothers.
