Has passed away on February 19, 2007

Mary Jane Blaine, of East Muntz Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Monday, February 19, 2007 at 12:48 a.m. at her residence with her family by her side.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Fredrick F. Turnblacer and the late Gertrude Leona (Joyce) Turnblacer.

Mrs. Blaine was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Blaine was a former member of the Butler Garden Club, various bridge clubs, the AAUW, the Football Mother's Club (President), the Junior Women's Club, the Intermediate League, and the BPW, She is a member of the Butler Country Club. Mrs. Blaine was also a former volunteer at Sunnyview and served on St. Paul's Lady's Guild. Mrs. Blaine also enjoyed her family, gardening and golfing.

Mrs. Blaine is survived by her husband, Raymond B. Blaine whom she marriage on October 12, 1945, by two sons and their wives, William F. and Carol Blaine of Chicago, Illinois, Raymond W. and Felecia Blaine of Fairfax, Virginia; two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Mary Elizabeth) Lemmo of Zelienople, Pennsylvania, Christine Blaine of Washington, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Jessica Gottsman, Penny Rimdzius; Tracey Blaine, Ray Blaine, Leslie Blaine, Michael Lemmo and Jane Lemmo; one great-grandchild, Taylor Gottsman, one brother and his wife, Fredrick and Sallee Turnblacer of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Nina) Dillon of Butler, Pennsylvania; and by many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with The Reverend Harry R. Beilewicz of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

Member of the St. Paul's Guild and Christian Mother's will recite the rosary at the church at 9:35 a.m.

William G. Osche

May 11, 1932 - February 11, 2007

William G. Osche age 74 of Eberhart Road in Meridian, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 8:30 p.m. at his home.

Born May 11, 1932 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Herman and Anna Weiland Osche.

He was a forty-year member of the Carpenters Union Local # 922. He retired from C T Dumbaugh and his handiwork is known throughout the community in many public buildings such as the Shaw House, YWCA, YMCA and St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Osche was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church. He was a life member of the Meridian Veterans Club, a member of the Meridian Volunteer Fire Company, a life member of the East Butler Volunteer Fire Company, and a life member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Osche served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Pearl A. Fend Osche, by one daughter, Mrs. John (Linda) Oesterling, two sons, William D. Osche and his wife Pam, James M. Osche and his wife Leslie, four granddaughters Emily and Sara Osche and Ashley and Kellie Oesterling, two grandsons Joshua and Nathan Osche, two sisters, Mrs. Cecilia " Spud " Reges, Mrs. Emerick (Judy) Isovitsch all of Butler, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a grandson Zachary Osche, four brothers Edward, Robert, Aloysius and Wendell Osche and by two sisters Emma Jean "Pete" Covert and Elizabeth "Bess" Fitzpatrick.

Family and friends of William G. Osche will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Meridian on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend James Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in the Butler County Memorial Park.

The family of William Osche suggests donations to the Meridian Veterans Club, 125 Veterans Club Road, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 or to The United Way, 325 New Castle Road, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001.

Frances E. Kelichner

February 21, 1929 - February 10, 2007

Frances E. Kelichner, age 77 of Vogleyville Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 3:10 p.m. in the Sunnyview Home.

Born February 21, 1929 in Brookville, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Arthur C. Webster and the late Bessie Tozer Webster.

Mrs. Kelichner was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the women's missionary group of the church and had been involved for many years in the nursery at her church. Mrs. Kelichner was also a member of the Berean Sunday School Class at the church. She was a former member of the CB Rangers and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mrs. Kelichner is survived by her husband, Silas Kelichner whom she marriage on August 8, 1947, by two daughters, Jane Frances Thompson of Butler, Pennsylvania, Carol Ann Wilcox of New Castle, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a sister, Pearl Kelichner of Butler, Pennsylvania; a brother, Robert Webster of Mars, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kelichner was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Monday, February 12, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, February 12, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor David Maitland of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will take place on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.

Lawrence A. Kaufman

January 10, 1926 - February 10, 2007

Lawrence A. (Larry) Kaufman, age 81 of Penn Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at his residence.

Born January 10, 1926 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Ross Kaufman and the late Nina Strickenburg.

Mr. Kaufman retired in 1985 as personnel director for Richardson, Gordon and Assoc. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving as a PFC with the 320th infantry regiment during WW II in France and Germany. He is a recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. He was and alumni of Butler High school and Bowling Green University. Mr. Kaufman was a member of BPOE #170, American Legion Post #117, VFW Post #249 and the Disabled American Veterans. He was an avid golfer and sports fan. Mr. Kaufman was a Civil War and WW II Historian. He loved animals and enjoyed bird watching.

Mr. Kaufman is survived by his wife, Marjorie A. Kaufman whom he marriage October 10, 1953, by a son, James A. Kaufman and his wife Tamara of Butler, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Rebecca Wimer and her husband Evan Alan of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; four grandsons, Derek Kaufman, Zachary Kaufman, Isaac Wimer, Samuel Wimer; two granddaughters, Natalie Wimer, Julia Wimer and a brother Earl Kaufman of Butler, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kaufman was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Robert Menges of Covenant Church of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

Contributions may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, Pennsylvania 16053.

Officers and members of VFW Post #249 and the American Legion Post #778 of Lyndora will conduct military honors at the Cemetery. Lawrence A. (Larry) Kaufman, age 81 of Penn Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at his residence.

James C. Gold

October 10, 1928 - February 8, 2007

James C. Gold, age 78 of Lynn-Mar Lane, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, February 8, 2007 in the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Wednesday, October 10, 1928 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late George Gold and the late Hazel Thompson.

Mr. Gold retired from Armco Steel where he worked in Pollution Control. He was protestant by faith. Mr. Gold was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean War in Germany.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Joanne (Smith) Gold who died March 29, 1958; by his second wife Betty M. (Varholla) Gold who died August 26, 1995; by one sister, one brother and one step-son.

Mr. Gold is survived by two daughter, Mrs. Marlin (Tracy) Schrecengost of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Samuel (Cheryl) O'Day of Butler, Pennsylvania, by his companion, Cinda Tigri of Butler, Pennsylvania; one step-son, Nick Lewis of Fenelton, Pennsylvania, by ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Ruth Naranch of Hiddenite, North Carolina; a brother Harold Gold of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, February 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Dave Brewer of Saxonburg Memorial Church officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, Western Region, 300 Penn Center Boulevard, Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.

Officers and members of V.F.W. Post #249 and the American Legion Post #778 of Lyndora will conduct military honors at the Cemetery.

Walter Stokes

October 8, 1920 - February 5, 2007

Walter A. Stokes, age 86 of Forest Heights, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Monday, February 5, 2007 at 8:50 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born October 8, 1920 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Charles F. Stokes and the late Stella A. Gallagher Stokes.

Mr. Stokes was the Forman of the hot and cold mill maintenance for Armco, retiring in June of 1982. Mr. Stokes was a life member of the Elks. Mr. Stokes served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European-African Campaign where he earned the Purple Heart with one oak cluster, the Bronze Star medal. Mr. Stokes also enjoyed golfing.

Mr. Stokes is survived by his wife, Louise G. Stokes whom he marriage on September 2, 1949, by one son, John Stokes of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; a grandson, Shawn P. Stokes of Virginia; a brother, Mr. Roy Stokes of Florida; two sisters, Mary Ann West and Hazel Mitch both of Butler, Pennsylvania; and by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Stokes was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, February 9, 2007 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, February 9, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Merry H. Meloy of St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the charity of the donor's choice.
