John Henry Johnson, age 77 of Hidden Meadows, Renfrew, Pennsylvania, formerly of Van-Mar Drive, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 3:58 a.m. in the Butler Veterans Administration Hospital.
Born in Butler, Pennsylvania on December 28, 1929, he was the son of the late Henry B. Johnson and the late Edna Walker.
Mr. Johnson was a roll grinder for AK (Armco) Steel where he retired on June 30, 1991 after 43 years of service. He was a member of Community Alliance Church. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #778 of Lyndora, Pennsylvania. Mr. Johnson had been active in his church and the Boy Scouts of America Armco Troop #16. He enjoyed playing golf.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife Helen (Sopel) Johnson, whom he marriage on May 12, 1956 by one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Patti) Miller of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; one son, John J. Johnson of Butler, a grandson Christopher Miller and his wife Kim, a granddaughter, Heather Clement and her husband Matt, two great-granddaughters, Molly and Anna Miller and two great-grandsons Mattix and Madden Clement, one sister, Pat Boinest of Davidson, North Carolina and two nephews.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, March 2, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Community Alliance Church on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Dennis Krajacic of Community Alliance Church officiating. Interment will follow in North Side Cemetery.

Officers and members of VFW Post #249 and the American Legion Post #778 of Lyndora will conduct Military honors at the Cemetery.
Joan R. Myers
March 5, 1921 - February 28, 2007
Joan R. Myers, age 85 of Seneca Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 3:45 a.m. in the Allegheny Kiski Hospital.
Born March 5, 1921 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Jay Myers and the late Sara Campbell.
Mrs. Myers was a former director of education for Hickory Presbyterian Church, Hickory, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Community Alliance Church. Mrs. Myers was a graduate of the Chatham College, class of 1942, where she also worked as a registrar after graduation. She also earned her Masters of Religious Education from the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
Mrs. Myers is survived by her second husband, Wayne L. Myers, by three sons, John J. Rankin of Holden, Maine, James W. Rankin of Princeton, New Jersey, Paul W. Rankin of Friedens, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; one step-daughter, Mrs. Brian (LeeAnn) Sellecks of Phoenix, Arizona.
Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her first husband, the Reverend Harry W. Rankin who passed away in 1969.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, March 4, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Community Alliance Church on Monday, March 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dennis Krajacic of Community Alliance Church officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.

Olga Ram
July 11, 1928 - March 26, 2007
Olga Ram, age 78 of Belmont Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Monday, March 26, 2007 at 12:35 a.m. at her residence.
Born July 11, 1928 in Dhamtari, India she was the daughter of the late James Govind Ram and the late Ethel M. Ulrick.
Miss Ram was a teacher. Her church affiliation was with St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church in Butler. She taught English and Geography in India, England and Australia. When she retired, she returned to India to live and enjoyed visiting her family in the United States.
Miss Ram is survived by one sister, Helga Nallathambi of Butler, Pennsylvania, with whom she made her home; two brothers, Eric Ram of Delhli, India, and Leslie Ram of Celcutta, India; and also by five nieces and two nephews.
Miss Ram was preceded in death by two brothers: Cecil and Denis G.Ram.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Merry H. Meloy of St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church and Thinagar Sitther, of the Asian Indian Christian Church, Pittsburgh will be officiating.

Luella R. Huselton
June 30, 1916 - March 25, 2007
Luella R. Huselton, age 90 of South Ridge Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Patterson Avenue, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 7:55 a.m. in Mercy Hospital - Mt. Airy, Cincinnati, Ohio.
Born June 30, 1916 in East Brady, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Fred C. Vensel and the late Annie Strott Vensel.
Mrs. Huselton was a registered nurse for Butler Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1970. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Mrs. Huselton was an alumni of the Butler Memorial Hospital class of 1938 and a member of the Butler Memorial Hospital Nurse Alumni Association.
Mrs. Huselton is survived by her son, J. Fred Huselton of Cincinnati, Ohio; two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Huselton was preceded in death by her husband, Lee H. Huselton who she marriage on March 21, 1940 and passed away on November 25, 1986. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Thomas M. Pierroti and Vicar Naomi Sease-Carriker officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

James T. Marshall
November 29, 1920 - March 22, 2007
James Thomas Marshall, age 86 of Skylare Drive, Prospect, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. the at his residence.
Born November 29, 1920 in Renfrew, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late James Russell Marshall and the late Margaret Brown Marshall.
Mr. Marshall retired May 1, 1981 as a group leader for Imperial Eastman, Chicago, Illinois after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in WW II in China, Burma, and India Theater.
Mr. Marshall is survived by a number of cousins.
Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
There will be no public visitation.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family by Reverend Kevin M. Bowman, of Middlesex Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Butler County Memorial Park.

William H. Hess
June 25, 1923 - March 20, 2007
William H. Hess, age 83 of Saxony Health Center, Saxonburg, PA formerly of Cupps Road, Renfrew, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 11:05 p.m. in the Saxony Health Center.
Born June 25, 1923 in Indiana, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Harry A. Hess Sr. and the late Mildred Barndollar Hess.
Mr. Hess was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member and former Trustee of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mr. Hess was past president of the Butler Cubs and a former trustee of Butler Elks # 170. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid golfer. Mr. Hess was a veteran of the United States Navy where during WW II he was a pilot and flew torpedo bombers off of aircraft carriers in the Atlantic Ocean on missions searching for enemy submarines.
Mr. Hess is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Carla) Rearick of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; three stepchildren and their spouses, Gary and Karenlynn Rauschenberger of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Tony (Lynn) Miller of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Mrs. Roger (Linda) Avent of Virginia Beach, Virginia; six grandchildren, one brother and his wife, Thomas R. and Marge Hess of Richfield, Ohio, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hess was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Ann (Dolly) Fleischer Hess who passed away on March 7, 1991 and also by one brother.
