Roger Randolph Soisson, age 87 of Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas, Valencia, Pennsylvania, formerly of Hampton Court, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 5:15 a.m. at U.P.M.C. Passavant in North Hills.
Born September 11, 1919 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late A. D. Soisson and the late Mary Marietta.
Mr. Soisson was an Associate Professor for Butler County Community College retiring in December of 1985. He also worked as a home contractor in Butler County. Mr. Soisson was a past president of NAA and the MORA Club. He had been active in Meals on Wheels and Christian Men's Fellowship. Mr. Soisson was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during WW II serving in the Atlantic and South Pacific. He was an alumni of Washington and Jefferson College with a BS Degree in Business. Mr. Soisson enjoyed playing golf, traveling, reading and playing bridge. He was a member of Oak Hills Christian Church.
Mr. Soisson is survived by his wife Dorothy (Tripp) Soisson, whom he marriage on March 16, 1945, of Valencia, Pennsylvania; four daughters, Jean Seitzer of Northumberland, Pennsylvania, Joyce Stanley, Rebecca Friedrich, Mari Abbott all of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Soisson was preceded in death by a grandchild, one sister and three brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Monday, March 12, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 12:00 noon with Reverend Phillip Conyers, Jr. of Oak Hills Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum, Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flower's contributions may be made to the Oak Hills Christian Church, 113 Township Line Road, Butler, Pennsylvania 16002.
Joseph A. Catalano
July 24, 1927 - March 9, 2007
Joseph A. Catalano, age 79 of Boyers, Pennsylvania, died Friday, March 9, 2007 at 6:00 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 24, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Philip Catalano and the late Augustine Cavaliero.
Mr. Catalano was in the maintenance/custodial department for Butler Area Schools. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Catalano was a member of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War. He also enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball and also coaching soccer.
Mr. Catalano is survived by one daughter, Sara Jean Yockey of Butler, Pennsylvania, one son, Will Catalano of Virginia Beach, Virginia, three grandchildren, Katlyn Jo Yockey, Evin Lee Yockey and Cade Anthony Catalano, his fiancé' Helen Ostradnder of Boyers, Pennsylvania, one sister, Mrs. Bobby (Jenny) Rivita of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Catalano was preceded in death by one brother, John Catalano.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North McKean Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001.

Mildred Dooley McCray
August 22, 1921 - March 8, 2007
Mildred Dooley McCray, age 85 of Deshon Court, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at her residence.
Born August 22, 1921 in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Walter Stapinski and the late Helen Klaumut.
Mrs. McCray was a technician in the ceramic manufacturing industry. She was a member of Saint Peters Episcopal Church. Mrs. McCray enjoyed knitting, gardening, reading, and crocheting.
Mrs. McCray is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McCray was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Dooley and her second husband, George McCray and by one sister and two brothers.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
A memorial services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Bruce Geary of St. Peter's Episcopal Church officiating.
Harriette E. Hilliard

Harriette E. Hilliard, age 97 of Stirling Village, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Lowrie House.
Born August 31, 1909 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas Turner and the late Lizzie Alice Kammer Turner.
Mrs. Hilliard was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church where she sang in the choir. Mrs. Hilliard was a graduate of Butler High School and Slippery Rock State Teachers College. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #45 for 79 years. She liked to travel and collect rocks and semi precious stones and to make jewelry. Mrs. Hilliard was very active with the Girl Scouts movement, she sang in community choirs and she liked to spend the winter months in Arizona.
Mrs. Hilliard is survived by one son, David H. Hilliard of Butler, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Marilyn M. Hilliard of Butler, Pennsylvania, Jayne E. Swensen of Santa Rosa, California; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Hilliard was preceded in death by her husband, Walter D. Hilliard who passed away on June 15, 1982.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, March 9, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the St. John's Reformed Church on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Robert Peterson of St. John's Reformed Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Lorraine B. Duffy

Lorraine B. Duffy, age 78 of North Main Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, March 4, 2007 at 5:50 p.m. at her residence.
Born May 4, 1928 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Harry William Bauer and the late Lillian Kinder.
Mrs. Duffy was a homemaker. She was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church. She was an avid bridge player and she enjoyed reading.
Mrs. Duffy is survived by her three sons, Dennis William Duffy of Cleveland, Ohio, Robert Charles Duffy, Jr. of New York and Providencetown, Massachusetts, James Edward Duffy of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin; two grand-daughters, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Duffy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles Duffy who passed away on March 25, 1980, by three brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held at the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Clark Sawyer of Hill United Presbyterian Church officiating.
Marian Fleischer

Marian Fleischer, age 77, of McCandless Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 7:49 p.m. at her residence.
Born May 7, 1930 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Margaret Hughes Risch.
She was a member of Saint Andrew's Roman Catholic Church.
Mrs. Fleischer retired from Armstrong Utilities in 1996 as a bookkeeper. She also was a bookkeeper for Glomb and Rich Company in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. She was a demonstrator at Sam's Club on weekends. She enjoyed camping and building dollhouses.
Mrs. Fleischer is survived by her son, James E. Fleischer and his wife, Cindy, of Butler, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, James A. Fleischer of Butler, Pennsylvania; and Jackie Fleischer of Texas; one sister, Carol Steighner and her husband, Charles, of Butler, Pennsylvania; and by her friend, Gerry Nagel of Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Fleischer was preceded in death by her husband, Ray R. Fleischer, who was deceased January 21, 2004 and her son, John R. Fleischer.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Services will be held at St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Father James Salberg, of St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
