Edgar H. Bouch, age 92 of Hinchberger Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 4:30 a.m. at his residence.
Born October 1, 1915 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Raymond A. Bouch and the late Elizabeth A. Bowser Bouch.
Mr. Bouch retired on October 1, 1977 from Spang and Company after 32 years of service. He was a member of Center Hill Church of the Brethren in Kittanning. He enjoyed hunting.
Mr. Bouch is survived by his wife, Alberta R. Dietrich Bouch, whom he marriage on July 10, 1947, by three daughters, Mary and her husband Terry Wilson of Kingsland, Georgia, Elsie Bouch of Butler, Pennsylvania, Pearl and her husband Harvey Thompson of Butler, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bouch was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, April 25, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at the Summit Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with his pastor, the Reverend Dr. Wes Berkebite of Center Hill Church of the Brethren officiating.
Mary C. Sholes
September 9, 1922 - April 25, 2008
Mary C. Sholes, age 85 of North Duffy Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, April 25, 2008 at 4:00 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born September 9, 1922 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late John Dojcansky and the late Mary Papanek Dojcansky
Mrs. Sholes was a homemaker and had also worked as an inspector at the Spaide Shirt Factory. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, and the E.C.W. Club of St Peter's Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Sholes is survived by one daughter, Nadine Wise of Butler, Pennsylvania; two sons, Jason Sholes of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, Brian K. Sholes of Butler, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, one great-grandson, three nephews; one sister, Margaret Wampler of Butler, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Sholes was preceded in death by her husband, Ray C. Sholes on March 1, 1993 and also by one sister and one brother.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, April 27, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Bruce Geary of St. Peter's Episcopal Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Edna P. Douthett
June 12, 1921 - April 27, 2008
Edna P. Douthett, age 86 of Evergreen Nursing Center, formerly of Mahood Road, Butler, Pennsylvania died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 6:20 a.m. in the Evergreen Nursing Center.
Born September 12, 1921 in Arnold, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Joseph Fish and the late Edna Orris.
Mrs. Douthett was a waitress for Howard Johnson and Natili's in Butler. She was a member of North Main Street Church of God. Mrs. Douthett served on the Slippery Rock School Board of Education.
Mrs. Douthett is survived by one son, W. Glenn and his wife Janet Douthett of Butler, Pennsylvania; two daughters and their husbands, Donna and William Robinson of Corolla, North Carolina, Nancy and Larry Killmeyer of Fenelton, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Douthett was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Douthett who passed away on January 8, 1998 and also by four sisters and four brothers.

Edward J. Hamil

Edward J. Hamil, age 45 of West Washington Street, Harrisville, Pennsylvania, died Friday, May 30, 2008 at 1:38 a.m. in the Forum Health Northside Medical Center, Youngstown, Ohio.
Born April 10, 1963 in Grove City, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Ralph Hamil and the late Josephine Stevens.
Mr. Hamil was a telecommunications operator for Butler County 911 Center, retiring in 2005. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Mr. Hamil loved to watch his girls play fast pitch softball. He was the Vice President of the Thunder Elite Girls Fast pitch Softball Association. Mr. Hamil bowled in the couples league and business league before his health failed.
Mr. Hamil is survived by his Cindy Smith Hamil, whom he marriage on May 9, 1987, by two daughters, Sara and Amanda Hamil of Harrisville, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Janet Evans of Butler, Pennsylvania, Suzie Ferguson of Boyers, Pennsylvania; and by one niece and two nephews.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

David Nulph
October 29, 1954 - May 28, 2008
David Nulph, age 53 of Nulph Lane, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born October 29, 1954 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Wallace "Bing" Nulph and the late LaVere McGrody Nulph.
Mr. Nulph worked in the maintenance department for Slippery Rock University. He was a graduate of Butler High School, earned his associates degree in accounting from Butler County Community College, became an autobody technician from the New Castle School of trades, and a degree in heating and cooling from Triangle Tech of Pittsburgh, Mr. Nulph served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in Germany during peacetime. He was interested in cars, target shooting and historical railroads.
Mr. Nulph is survived by his two sons, Kristopher Nulph, Patrick Nulph; and one daughter, Aileen Nulph all of Butler, Pennsylvania; his loving fiancée`, Linda Moser; one sister and her husband, Carol and Joe McEvoy of Butler, Pennsylvania, two brothers and their wives, Larry and Ruth Nulph of Butler, Pennsylvania, Gary and Emily Nulph of Hagerstown, Maryland; his step-mother, Mary Nulph and by six nieces and nephews.
Mr. Nulph was preceded in death by his parents.

Jack Ziman
August 15, 1919 - May 28, 2008
Jack Ziman, 88, formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 28, 2008, in Baltimore, Maryland, where he resided in recent years near family.
Born in Butler August 15, 1919, Jack was a son of the late Louis and Sarah Ziman of Butler. After graduating Butler High School, he served in France and England in World War II. With his late wife Rita Green Ziman, he owned and operated Sam Green Tavern in Butler for over 30 years prior to his retirement in 1982.
He was a member of the B'nai Abraham Congregation of Butler, where he was a regular volunteer. He particularly enjoyed Sunday family outings, bowling, and volunteering at the Veterans Hospital.
Surviving are his sons Sheldon of Maryland, Barry of Virginia, Sam of Texas, and Harvey Benjamin of Maryland; a brother Bob Ziman of Illinois; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends of Jack Ziman will be received Friday May 30 at 10:00 A.M. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, followed immediately by graveside services at the congregation B'Nai Abraham Cemetery with Hazzan (cantor) Adriene Caplowe officiating.
