Robert L. Kinney, age 66, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 12:40 a.m. in the Latrobe Regional Health and Rehabilitation Center, Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
Born September 25, 1941 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Frank Merle and Amy Irene Trappen Kinney.
Mr. Kinney was a member of the former Grace Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his sister Doris Jean Lefever and her husband, Larrie F., of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; a loving sister in-law Judith Kinney of Cincinnati, Ohio; his nieces and nephews David Lefever and his wife, Kathy, Cathy Howryla and her husband, Randy, Tim Lefever and his wife, Candy, Larrie J. Lefever, Julie-Anne Kinney, Frank Kinney, and Theresa Lynn Kinney.
He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews Matthew Howryla, Josh Howryla, Scott LeFever, Andrew Lefever, Rachel Lefever, and Cassandra Lefever.
One brother, Frank Kinney, preceded Mr. Kinney in death.
There will be no public visitation.
Interment will be held in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Anna Mildred Anderson
December 9, 1909 - August 20, 2008
God's newest angel, Anna Mildred Anderson, age 98, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at 8:21 p.m. in the Chicora Medical Center, Chicora, Pennsylvania.
Born December 9, 1909 in Defiance, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Albert Marion and Mary Catherine Grace Guyton.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of the First English Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Anderson retired as a salesperson. She was a member of the Butler Arbors Association. She was the floor representative and monitor there, as well.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by one son, Robert C. Anderson and his wife, Viola, of Cumberland, Maryland; three daughters, Mrs. Betty M. Dell and Mrs. Phyllis D. Wooldridge both of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Mrs. Patricia A. Zupancic and her husband, Joseph, of Butler, Pennsylvania; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren. Also a brother George A. Guyton of Mentor, Ohio and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Anderson, who was deceased August 1960, by one son, Douglas Anderson, two daughters, Earlamond A. Crump and Alice Lou Stafford, four sisters and seven brothers.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral services will be held at the First English Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend James W. Dollhopf of the First English Lutheran Church officiating.

Donna Kradel
July 21, 1925 - August 21, 2008
Donna Kradel who was born in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 21, 1925 and passed away with her three sons by her side, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 21, 2008 at the age of 83. We will remember her forever.
Donna was a long time resident of New Jersey where she raised her family with her first husband, the late David C. Miller. Donna returned to Butler, which she always called her home town, when in 1985, she marriage the late Paul F. Kradel Sr.. Donna will be remembered by many as a devoted mother, wife and a true friend. Donna loved to cook, bake and entertain friends and family. Her holiday feasts were legendary and she always had room at her table for one more. She was a long time member of, Saint Marks Lutheran Church where she also taught Sunday School for many years. Donna loved to play bridge and more than one group of girls will be one chair short due to her passing. Donna and Paul were long time participants in the Esquire Club. Donna wore many hats during her working years from being a clerk at Troutman's Department Store, a Secretary at Armco, a Teachers Aid in Howell Twp. NJ, and a Bookeeper for Salmon Insurance in Wall, NJ. Donna and Paul traveled widely during their 20+ years together and she loved any time she could spend at the shore. She always said that she was meant to be a beach bum.
In addition to her two late husbands Donna is preceeded in her journey by her parents William J. and Jean Collins Sr., her sisters Betty Patten and Virginia C. Cullinan, her brothers William J. Collins Jr. and Robert T. Collins. She is survived by her three sons and their wives, David C. Miller II and Sarah Miller of Long Branch, NJ, William H. Miller and Margarita Miller of Leonardo, NJ and Thomas J. Miller and Young Miller of Philadelphia Pa, and her "neice" Katie McGinty, "the daughter she always wanted". Also missing her will be several neices and nephews, the children of her second husband, Paul F. Kradel Jr, Rodger Kradel, Pattie Kradel and Susan Kradel, several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Funeral services will be held at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Alden Towberman, her church pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Mary Ann Huff Nemcek
September 26, 1930 - August 24, 2008
Mary Ann Huff Nemcek, age 77, of Grandview Boulevard, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born September 26, 1930 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eleanor Wick Huff.
Mrs. Nemcek was employed in the food service department for the Butler Area School District working in the high school and in the middle school. She attended Faith Fellowship Alliance Church. She was a member of AARP, Sixty Plus Group at the Tanglewood Senior Center, The Butler County Association of School Retirees, The Pennsylvania Public School Employees and she was a charter member of The South Butler Fire Department's Auxiliary.
She enjoyed her family, crocheting, her houseplants, meeting with ladies and friends for lunch, and going to Bible Studies.
Mrs. Nemcek is survived by he husband Joseph Nemcek, who she marriage on January 7, 1949; one daughter: Lexie A. Nemcek of Naples, Florida; three sons: Joseph Nemcek and his wife, Judy, of Wintergarden, Florida, James Nemcek and his wife, Karen, of Columbus, Ohio, and Terry Nemcek and his wife, Sally, of New Brighton, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, two step grandchildren and one great great grandson and by many nieces and nephews.
Three beloved brothers preceded her in death.

Carl G. Butler
August 18, 1956 - August 24, 2008
Loving father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and husband, Carl G. Butler, 52, of Sawmill Run Road, Butler, passed on early Sunday morning with his family present, at the Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born August 18, 1956, in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late, Eddie H. Butler, and is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Hilliard Butler.
Mr. Butler was employed by Butler County 31 years and was the Director of Facilities and Operations. He graduated from Butler High School Class of '74 and Butler County Community College where he earned an Associates Degree in Fine Arts. He was active with the former Sigma Lamda Chi at Butler County Community College.
He enjoyed motorcycling, boating, camping, traveling, building projects, card club, and spending hours with his family, friends and his pets. He loved to spend as much time as possible at the family camp, which was built by his grandfather in 1928. Also, about a year ago, he took his dream trip to Sturgis with his buddies on their motorcycles. This past June, he took all his immediate family members on a beach vacation.
He was a former member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He served as a board member for Butler County's credit union.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Jo Butler, who he marriage November 5, 1994. He has four daughters from his prior marriage, Mrs. Katie L. Decker, Mrs. Steven (Carla) Cox, Mrs. Joshua (Kelly) Christie and Mrs. Joshua (Cassie) Wood. He is also survived by a stepson, Michael Dunmyre, of Butler.
He is survived by his mother, two brothers, Mr. Edgar (Carol) H. Butler and Thomas J. Butler, both of Butler, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth (Randy) A. Flick of Fenelton, Pennsylvania, sister-in-laws, Mrs. Vicki (Paul) Semes, of Butler and Mrs. Kimberly (Terry) Hickey of Golden, British Columbia. In addition, his precious granddaughter, Mackenzie Decker and a grandson, Landon Christie and a grandchild on the way. He is also survived by four nieces and three nephews.
Carl was a dear friend, unselfish, considerate of others and always offering a helping hand to those in need. He had a way with words and always had a good story to tell. No matter how hard life was, he always had a sense of humor. So in our father's words this is the LAST CALL for BOOTS and SADDLES.

Ronald C. Armitage
July 11, 1948 - August 26, 2008
Ronald Cassius Armitage, age 60 of Butler, Pennsylvania, died in his home.
Born July 11, 1948 in Corry, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Reverend Cassius Armitage and the late Margaret Armitage. Ron died after a hard fought battle with a lengthy illness. He was a loving and devoted father to his two children Rachel and Rudy.
Ron was a retired counselor and worked for several years for many local human service agencies. His generous spirit reached out in love to many people - helping them to enrich their lives though acceptance and support groups. His passion was for the Grapevine, Salvation Army and the homeless of Butler.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Rachel Armitage Brown and her husband Michael of Falls Church, Virginia; son, Rudy Armitage of Butler; former wife, Jane Armitage and her family; three sisters, Joyce Renicks of Franklin, Tennessee, Beverly Fenstermaker of Butler, Deborah Solari of Butler, one brother, Dale Armitage of Cecil, Pennsylvania; Many nieces and nephews who loved him deeply.
Ron was preceded in death by sister, Carol Armitage, and brother-in-law, Michael Solari.
