Pauline Dahl age 69 of McPherson's Owl Landing, Fenelton, Pennsylvania, formerly of Forch Street died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at in the McPherson's Owl Landing.
Born, June 30, 1939 in Syracuse, New York she was the daughter of the late Paul Love and the late Dorothy (Johnson) Love.
Mrs. Dahl was a homemaker. She was a member of the former Church of God in Parker. Mrs. Dahl was also in a group called Music for the Soul. She was a graduated from Slippery Rock University in 1991.
Mrs. Dahl is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Hilliard and her husband Marvin Schoeffel of Boyers, Pennsylvania; Judy Dahl of Cantonsville, Maryland; son, Donald Dahl; five grandsons, Zachary Dahl, Kyle Hilliard, Michael Schoeffel, Brandon Schoeffel, Peyton Hilliard; one sister, Bonnie Murphy.
Mrs. Dahl was preceded in death by one son.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Whitehall Church of God on Friday, January 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.

Esther M. Krauchuk
May 12, 1925 - January 26, 2009
Esther M. Krauchuk, age 83 of Sunnyview Nursing Home, formerly of Alameda Road and Remil Drive, died Monday, January 26, 2009 at 5:20 p.m. in the Sunnyview Home.
Born May 12, 1925 in Miami, Florida she was the daughter of the late Guy S. Mitchell and the late Grace Hecker Mitchell.
Mrs. Krauchuk had been a secretary for International Staple and Machine Co. from 1969 until her retirement in 1983. She was a former member of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Krauchuk had formerly been a member of the Golden Slippers, a dance group from the Tanglewood Senior Center.
Mrs. Krauchuk is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Anselmo (Patricia) Arruda of Pembroke, Massachusetts, Paula L. Krauchuk of Washington, D.C., three grandchildren, one great-grandson, one brother, Rex Mitchell of Oil City, Pennsylvania; one sister, Ina Jarral of Mary Esther, Florida and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Krauchuk was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Krauchuk, Jr. who passed away on July 14, 2005 and also by one stepbrother, William Mitchell.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, January 29, 2009 from 11 to 1:30 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Corey James Daum
June 14, 1969 - January 24, 2009
Corey James Daum, age 39 of Hendersonville, Tennessee, died Saturday January 24, 2009 at 12:48 a.m. due to injuries received in an automobile accident as a passenger in Nashville, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, June 14, 1969 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of William L. Daum and Darlene M. (Evans) Daum.
Corey worked in the accounting department for BMI (Broadcast Music Incorporated) in Nashville, Tennessee and attended Long Hollow Baptist Church. He was a 1987 graduate of Butler High School. Corey attended IUP in Kittanning and Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California. Following his graduation, Corey played lead guitar and toured with the band Lizzy Borden. He was a talented musician and played guitar, fiddle, mandolin and drums. Corey was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his cousin Jim and friend Richie in Georgia. He loved the outdoors, especially kayaking.
Mr. Daum is survived by his former wife Julie Plowman Daum; one son, Samuel James Daum, age 8; one daughter, Aldyn Faith Daum, age 6, all of Hendersonville, Tennessee; by his parents, William L. and Darlene M. (Evans) Daum of Butler; and one brother, Joshua Daum of Butler; his paternal grandmother, Wilda R. Daum of Butler; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Corey was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.

John G. (Jack) Fischer
July 10, 1933 - January 26, 2009
John G. (Jack) Fischer, 74, of Butler passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Nevada. He was born July 10, 1933 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to George and Josephine Fischer.
marriage to Marie (Dolly) Fischer 55 years they resided in their Penn Township home. They had two sons and three daughters.
During the Korean Conflict, Jack served four years in the Air Force.
As a former resident of Penn Township, Jack retired from AK Steel, formerly Butler Armco, with 38 years of service.
Jack loved traveling with his family on vacations to the beach and camping trips.
Additionally, he enjoyed flying radio controlled model airplanes and was a member of BAMS. Jack was also an active member of the Cubs in Butler where he volunteered his services.
Jack was an avid golfer for those who knew him well. He never missed a chance to be in the serene settings it provided along with the camaraderie of some of his lifelong friends or simply golfing with his sons.
For the last 7 years Jack and Dolly spent their winters in Phoenix, AZ at his second home where he enjoyed the weather, loved golfing and spending time with his wife and their friends.
He is survived by his wife Marie Fischer of Butler, two sons, Thomas Fischer and his wife Anita of Chicora, E. Scott Fischer and his wife Robin of West Sunbury, three daughters, Debra Santavicca and her husband Carl of Akron, Jolyn Burns and husband Randall of West Sunbury, Cheryl Kretzer and her husband Mark of Butler. He was aslo survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Siblings: brother James Fischer and wife Karen of Butler, and two sisters, Georgia Mae Gaiser of Fenelton, and Mary Louise Hogg of Butler. He was preceded in death by a brother Carl Fischer and a sister Wilda Alvey.
Fischer- Friends of John G. Fischer who died Saturday, January 24, 2009, will be received Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North Street, Butler. The funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Terry West of the Harrisville BRANCH Church officiating.

Bernice O. Neill
March 25, 1914 - February 15, 2009
Bernice Olive Neill, age 94 of Saxonburg Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 2:10 p.m. in the U.P.M.C. St. Margaret's Hospital.
Born March 25, 1914 in Bremen, Ohio she was the daughter of late Ruth Black Lucas.
Mrs. Neill retired from Jaffe's after 20 years of service. Previously she had worked for Trader's Music Store (now May's Music) She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mrs. Neill was very active in her church in her younger years.
Mrs. Neill is survived by her son and his wife, William D. and Judith A. Neill of Butler, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, William D. Neill, Jr., Lori and her husband Ralph McPherson, Marci Neill; three great-grandchildren, Ralph E. McPherson, Jr., Abigail L. McPherson, Michael D. McPherson; one brother and his wife, Edward and Mary Lou Lucas; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Neill was preceded in death by her husband, Pryor D. Neill whom she marriage on August 1, 1939 and who passed away in April of 1970.

James Clayton Ward, Sr.
December 17, 1925 - February 10, 2009
James Clayton Ward, Sr., age 83, of Saxonburg Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 8:30 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born December 17, 1925 in Elyria, Ohio, he was the son of the late Floyd William Ward and Ida Elizabeth Pomeroy Ward.
Mr. Ward, Sr. was a member of the First Baptist Church in Butler. He was a mechanical engineer for Wean United Engineering and Foundry where he retired in 1995, then freelanced for several years. Jim was a Herbalife Independent Distributor for 25 years. He worked on the Titan Missile (perfecting the launch pad) as a contractor for NASA. Mr. Ward served with an Anti Aircraft Artillery Group in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre of Operations in the Philippines. A s a non -commissioned officer, Jim performed duties as Sergeant Major of Group Headquarters, supervised and directed the work of eight civilian and enlisted personnel in the preparation of correspondence, records, forms, and reports of six organizations under this command. Mr Ward, was familiar with Army regulations and all phases of military procedure. He was a master sharpshooter (marksman).
Jim enjoyed making videos and taking photos of his family. He was an avid Steeler fan, and he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and swimming. Mr. Ward's family was his proudest accomplishment and traveling throughout the United States and representing Herbalife were very important to him.
Mr. Ward is survived by his wife Mary Caroline (Groves) Ward whom he marriage on September 19, 1947. He is also survived by one son, James (Jamie) and wife Loretta Ward, Jr. of Butler, Pennsylvania, three daughters Carol and Allan Albright of Butler, Pennsylvania, Kathleen Matteson of Clarksville, Tennessee, Elisabeth and Edward Oesterling of Butler, Pennsylvania. His grandchildren include Adam, Joshua, Meganne, Stephanie, Jennifer, Travis, Clay, Lenny, Janna, James III, Michael, William, Eileen-Nicole, Jessica, Courtney, Nicholas, Ashleigh, Bethany, and Lesli. Mr. Ward's great granchildren include, Shawna, Austin, Nathan, Lydia, Abigail, Matthew, Savannah, Lacey, Dylan, Cody, Devan, Cayden, Alex, Trisha, Trenton, Kaylee, Brittany, Preston, Madison, Kirsten, Mason, Landon, Brandi, Jacob, Justin, Austin, William, Desire, Chelsie, Shania, Cherie, Cheyann, Korbin, Thaddeus, Morgan, Vanessa, Mackensie, Kaylei, Jaxson, Cameron, Allison, Christopher, James, Whittney, Ty, and Jaden. He is survived by three stepbrothers, George Deal, Russ Yockey, and Fred Thompson, and three stepsisters, Ruth Newcome, Jean Flatt, and Jody Thompson as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ward was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Murdick, and two stepbrothers, Roy and Benjamin Groves, and four stepsisters Kay Webster, Anna Deal, Cora Yockey, and Margaret Peters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, February 13, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Butler on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Maitland officiating. Interment will be in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.

Lillian Barbish

Lillian Barbish, age 86 of Sunnyview Home, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, February 6, 2009 at 2:45 a.m. at Sunnyview Home.
Born, May 5, 1922 in Library, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Anton Barbish and the late Mary (Tomsic) Barbish.
Miss Barbish was a protestant by faith. She was an operator for Bell Telephone- AT&T for 38 years. During World War II, she was a welder at Dravo Corporation.
Miss Barbish is survived by one sister, Phyllis M. Stienstra of Butler, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Paul Barbish of Cabot, Pennsylvania, Alan Barbish of Canton, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews.
Miss Barbish was preceded in death by two brothers, Philip Barbish and Anthony Barbish.
Private services will be held.
Inurnment will take place in Deer Creek Cemetery in Cheswick, Pennsylvania.
