Gary L. McCue, age 65, of Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, September 25, 2009 at 4:45 a.m. at his home.
Born January 10, 1944 in West Franklin Township, Pennsylvania, he was the late son of John D. McCue and Cathern S. McGrady McCue.
Mr. McCue was retired from Butler Armco Steel, retiring in 2001. He was a an active member of the American Legion Post # 117 in Butler, serving as First Vice Commander. He called bingo at the American Legion Post # 117 and he arranged their annual golf tournament. Gary was also a member of the Italian Society of Butler. He loved golfing. He loved and enjoyed his grandchildren dearly. Mr. McCue was a veteran of the United States Army, with the rank of sergeant. Mr. McCue was Catholic by faith.
Mr. McCue is survived by his wife, Dolores Y. (Gagliardi) McCue whom he marriage on June 25, 1991; two sons, Scott B. McCue and his wife, Brenda, of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; Vincent E. McCue and his wife, Linda, of Butler, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Ian S. McCue, Tyler S. McCue, Erika F. McCue, Ashley L. Greenawalt, and Kylie M. Valensky; two great grandchildren, Josh M. Greenawalt and Natalie L. Greenawalt; eight brothers, Donald J. McCue of Dunbar, Pennsylvania; Bernard A. McCue of State College, Pennsylvania; William R. McCue of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania; Melvin J. McCue of Fenelton, Pennsylvania; Paul P. McCue of Fenelton, Pennsylvania; John L. McCue of Butler, Pennsylvania, Kenneth L. McCue of Worthington, Pennsylvania; David M. McCue of Worthington, Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. McCue was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne C. McCue and Raymond P. McCue.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville. Interment will follow in St. John Parish Cemetery.
Officers and members of American Legion 117 will conduct a memorial service at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday at 6:45 p.m.
Officers and members of VFW Post 249, American Legion Post 117 and the American Legion Post 778 Lyndora, will conduct the graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Butler County Unit, P. O. Box 3014, Butler, Pennsylvania 16003.
Ronald Lee Paynter

Ronald Lee Paynter, age 70, of Middle Trail, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at his home at 5:50 a.m.
Born October 2, 1938 in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was the son of the late Raymond F. Paynter and Amy V. Noland Paynter.
Mr. Paynter was retired from AT&T in 1998 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Discovery Christian Church in Cranberry Township. Ronald was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Paynter is survived by his wife, Debra S. Alkire Paynter whom he marriage on November 23, 1996; two daughters, Roxanne Runco and her husband Timothy, of Pittsburgh; Leanne Paynter of Sebring, Florida; and one stepson Timothy D. Taylor and his wife, Joanna, of Woodbridge, Virginia; four grandchildren, Jayme Paynter of Boston, Massachusetts; Sydney Crumley of Sebring, Florida; Elliana Taylor of Woodbridge, Virginia; Ethan Taylor of Woodbridge, Virginia; four brothers, Franklin R. Paynter and his wife, Donna, of Youngstown, Ohio; James A. Paynter and his wife, Diana, of Greenboro, Georgia; John E. Paynter and his wife, Sherri, of Elkton, Ohio; Larry R. Paynter and his wife, Lisa, of Wellsville, Ohio; two sisters, Linda Davis, and her husband, Larry, of East Liverpool, Ohio; Janet Factura and her husband, Gerry, of Goose Creek, South Carolina; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9; and Monday, September 28, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at North Main Street Church of God.
Services will be held at the North Main Street Church of God on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Toney Salva of Discovery Christian Church officiating.
Mildred Herold Snyder

Mildred Herold Snyder, age 93, of Highland Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died September 20, 2009 at 12:18 A.M. in the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia, in Cabot, Pennsylvania .
Born September 19, 1916 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert E. Herold and the late Edith (Rensel) Herold.
Mrs. Snyder was a member of St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church. She worked for the Butler Area School Food Service retiring in 1981 as a supervisor after twenty-five plus years. She developed the strawberry pie recipe for Morgan Restaurants. Before the school she baked pies and sold them to restaurants.
Mrs. Snyder is survived by two sons, George H. Snyder and his wife, Kathy, of Butler, Pennsylvania, David E. Snyder, Sr. and his wife, Darlene, of Butler, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; ten great grand-children, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Snyder was preceded in death by her husband, Hawley M. Snyder whom she marriage on November 26, 1936. He passed away on March 7, 1993, also preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church on Wednesday September 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Alden Towberman of St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice of Concordia, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, Pennsylvania 16023.
Loyal L. Tait

Loyal L. Tait, age 92 a lifelong resident of Butler, slipped into the presence of his Lord and Savior at 5:20 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born May 13, 1917 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Harry A. Tait and Hazel E. Wright Tait.
Loyal and Eleanor loved to travel and visit friends near and far. Loyal was an avid photographer and was always known to have a camera in his hand. At the age of 76 Loyal won an award and had a photograph published. Loyal was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church and rarely missed a service. He had an insatiable interest in Christian Jewish ministries and was a generous donor to many organizations. Loyal attended a men's Bible study and was a faithful travelogue attendee. Loyal was a retired electrician for Butler Armco Steel after 33 years of service. Loyal was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during WW II.
Loyal is survived by a sister-in-law, Zella Miller of Butler, Pennsylvania, one nephew, Lemoyne Miller of Butler, Pennsylvania, his church family, and his "adopted" children, Bonnie and David Maitland of Grove City, Pennsylvania.
Loyal was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor E. Huffman Tait who passed away on November 30, 1991.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, September 20, 2009 following church from 12:30 to 4 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc .on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor David Maitland and Pastor Jeff Gwilt of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the North Side Cemetery.
Helen Robb Kennedy

Helen Robb Kennedy, age 99 of Dunwoody, Georgia, formerly of Butler died Monday, September 14, 2009.
Born July 18, 1910 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Curtis L.R. Robb and Estella (McCandless) Robb.
Mrs. Kennedy was a school teacher at the Lyndora School where she retired in June 1937. She was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Kennedy was also a member of the Oak Hill Garden Club where she was one of the founding members and a past president. She was a member of the General Richard Butler Daughters of the American Revolution, Butler Woman's Club, past president of the YWCA, past president, Maqueda Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her daughter, Nancy K. Hudak of Dunwoody, Georgia; one granddaughter, Laura H. McKenna of Roswell, Georgia; one grandson, Charles A. Hudak of Dunwoody, Georgia; two great granddaughters, Caroline Hudak and Grace McKenna; and three great grandsons, Charlie Daniel, Chad Hudak, and William Hudak.
Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Kennedy, whom she marriage on June 9, 1937 and who passed away on November 10, 1993. Also preceding her in death are two brothers, Dean Robb and Elliott Robb; and two sisters Lois R. Snyder and Bernice Jane Robb.
There will be no public visitation.
Graveside services will be announced at a later date.

Raymond B. Washburn

Raymond B. Washburn, age 84, of Cabot, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot, Pennsylvania.
Born February 23, 1925 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Oakley Emerson Washburn and Catherine Florence Magill Washburn.
Mr. Washburn was a Chief Civil Engineer, retiring in 1991 after 45 years of service with Chester Engineers in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. Ray served as the past president of the Kiwanis Club. He was a member of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church, serving as a past Elder of the church. He was an active member of the North Hills Squares, and he was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in WW II with the Army Engineers as a Staff Sergeant.
Mr. Washburn is survived by his wife, Margaret (Peg) M. Haugh Washburn, whom he marriage on April 24, 1953; a daughter, Carol Washburn of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania; a son Jeff, and his wife, Kate Washburn of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania; four granddaughters, Kathryn M. Washburn of Columbia, South Carolina; Julia Snyder of Kansas City, Missouri; Anna Snyder of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania; Gretchen Snyder of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania; a great granddaughter, Brooklyn Harper; and a number of nephews.
Two brothers preceded Mr. Washburn in death.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service for Mr. Washburn will be held at the St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church on October 11, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Merry H. Meloy of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church officiating. Prior to memorial service a luncheon will be held at St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church at noon. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 East Jefferson Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 in memory of Ray Washburn.
Alberta R. Bouch

Alberta R. Bouch, age 87, of Hinchberger Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 3:18 P.M. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born on November 13, 1921 in Summit Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Dietrich and Mary Catherine Barbara Rich Dietrich.
Mrs. Bouch was a former member of Summit Presbyterian Church. For most of her life Alberta was a homemaker, but for a period of time she worked at the American Bantam Car Co.
Mrs. Bouch was marriage to Edgar Bouch on July 10, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2008.
She is also survived by three daughters: Mary Wilson and her husband, Terry, of Kingsland, Georgia; Elsie Bouch of Butler, Pennsylvania; and Pearl Thompson and her husband, Harvey, of Butler, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Terry Wilson, Hetty Green and her husband, David; Amy Bates and her husband, Jason; Timothy Wilson; Michael Thompson; and Steven Thompson and his wife, Brandy. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren; Christian Green, Cooper Bates, Kaleb Thompson, Gracie Thompson and Cannon Bates; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
