Darla Jean McGinnis, age 64, of Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, September 11, 2009 at 6:25 p.m. at her daughter's residence.
Born November 1, 1944 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Warren H. Clark and Jean Reep Clark.
Mrs. McGinnis was Protestant by faith. She was a registered nurse and worked at Grove Manor in Grove City, Pennsylvania and also at Sunnyview Home in Butler, Pennsylvania, retiring in 2009. She enjoyed family and gardening.
Mrs. McGinnis is survived by one son, James W. and his wife, Gay McGinnis of West Sunbury, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Raelene S. and her husband, Brian Ellenberger of Butler, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Margaret, Clark, Sarah, and Jack McGinnis and Brianna and Broc Ellenberger. Also surviving is her mother, Jean Clark of Butler, Pennsylvania; four brothers, Delbert Clark, Wyoming; Thomas Clark of Butler, Pennsylvania; Robert and his wife, Patty Clark of Butler, Pennsylvania; Ray and his wife, Marsha Clark of Butler, Pennsylvania; one sister, Ruth and her husband, Brian McCafferty of Butler, Pennsylvania; four nieces and one nephew.
Mrs. McGinnis was preceded in death by her husband, James E. McGinnis, who passed away on December 6, 2005.
There will be no public visitation.
Private funeral services were held at the convenience of family with Reverend Dr. J. David Panther of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Deborah L. Spangler
June 14, 1964 ~ September 10, 2009
Deborah L. Spangler, age 45 of Renfrew, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 5:45 p.m. in the Emergency Room of Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born June 14, 1964 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Norval Kuharic and Patricia Pollock Kuharic of Butler, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Spangler was a manager of the family businesses, Spangler Paving, Suds Shack and B & E Mini Mart.
Deborah was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Butler. She coached basketball, softball, and baseball in the local area. She was a past member of the Butler Basketball Boosters Association. She was very involved in the Butler Girls Softball and Basketball programs. She was also involved in the Meridian Basketball and Softball Boosters. Deborah, coached basketball, softball and baseball. In addition, Deborah was an avid hunter and camper and especially enjoyed archery hunting. She enjoyed motorcycling with her husband. Deborah was an avid reader, reading several books a week.
Mrs. Spangler is survived by her husband, Lawrence Spangler, whom she marriage on September 28, 1986; two daughters, Heather Spangler of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Megan of Butler, Pennsylvania. Also surviving is her paternal grandmother, Louise Kuharic, and her brother, Joseph Kuharic, both of Butler, Pennsylvania. Several nieces, nephews, and her dog, Toby, also survive.
Mrs. Spangler was preceded in death by her sister, Deanna.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. J. David Panther of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

James Edward McKee

James Edward McKee, age 69, of Sunset Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 6:05 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born November 24, 1939 in West Sunbury, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Dean McKee and Dorothy Kamerer McKee Caldwell.
Mr. McKee was retired from Pullman Standard and also was owner and operator of James McKee Auto Sales on Sunset Drive in Butler.
Mr. McKee was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 117 in Butler, the Butler Elks Club, the French and Belgium Club, and the Italian Club. He was also an avid NASCAR fan.
James marriage Ruby McEntyre McKee on November 25, 1964; she preceded him in death on January 18, 2003. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter and one brother.
Mr. McKee is survived by two sons, Thomas A. McKee, Sr., of Fenelton, Pennsylvania, and Michael J. McKee of Atlanta, Georgia; and one daughter, Theresa L. McKee-Fallecker of Butler, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one stepbrother, Charles Henry (Sam) Caldwell of Warren, Ohio; one stepsister, Mrs. Jane Victoria and her husband, Frank Polichena of Ravenna, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends and family of James McKee will be received at The Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be from the funeral home on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Toy officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mt. Chestnut, Pennsylvania. Officers and members of V.F.W. Post #249 and American Legion Post # 778 will conduct graveside military services.

Ruth M. Newcome, age 86, of Butler, Pennsylvania, died Friday, September 4, 2009 at 4:23 a.m. at her daughter Patrica's residence .
Born May 1, 1923 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Groves and Elizabeth Willis Groves.
Mrs. Newcome was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Butler, Pennsylvania. Her hobbies included quilting and gardening.
Mrs. Newcome is survived by three daughters Patrica J. Varnum of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; Bonnie Newcome of Butler, Pennsylvania, Cherie and husband, Art Schultz of Butler, Pennsylvania; by five grandchildren, Gail and her husband, Luis Ortiz, Karen and her husband, Kiran Nunna; Ryan Varnum, Brian and his wife, Amy Schultz, Todd Schultz; four great grandchildren, Maya Nunna, Roshan Nunna, Gregory Schultz, and Emma Schultz; three sisters, Joanne and her husband, Fred Thompson of Chicora, Pennsylvania, Jean Flatt of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Mary Ward of Butler, Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Newcome was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde S. Newcome, who passed away June 2, 2001; one son-in-law, two brothers, and four sisters.

Kenneth A. Forcht

Kenneth A. Forcht, age 79, of East Metzger Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 5:30 a.m. in the Allegheny General Hospital.
Born March 6, 1930 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Howard Forcht and Mildred Neyman Forcht.
Mr. Forcht was a member of First English Lutheran Church. He worked at Armco, now A.K.Steel, in the Processing Maintenance Department, retiring in 1993 after 34 years of service. Mr. Forcht was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War.
Mr. Forcht is survived by his wife, Doris M. Ray Forcht, whom he marriage on February 23, 1951; two sons, Brian Forcht and his wife, Karen, of Erie, Pennsylvania; Keith Forcht and his wife, Pam, of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Alex and his wife, Jessie, Jenny, Breann, Kalle, and Cameron; one sister, Maxine Carroll of Maryland; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Forcht was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Henry (Hank) Earl Keller

Henry Earl (Hank) Keller, age 62, of Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 11:50 a.m. in Alleghany General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Born June 20, 1947 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Edward Keller and the late Anna Hornacek Keller.
Mr. Keller was a teacher for the Butler Area School District where he retired in 2008 after 40 years of teaching. He was a Butler Senior High School Golf Coach and he was active in the Butler Basketball Program. Mr. Keller was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America. He was a member of the Butler Elks Lodge #170, Butler Education Association, Slippery Rock Alumni, and the Oakview Golf Club.
Mr. Keller is survived by his wife, Barbara (Klear) Keller of Butler, Pennsylvania; one son, Josh Keller of San Francisco, California; one daughter, Julie Keller Heverly and her husband, Stephen, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his father, Edward Keller of Butler, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Donna Keller of Plymouth, Massachusetts and Cathy Dydynski of Northeast, Maryland and a large extended family.
Mr. Keller was preceded in death by one brother.

Susan L. Sinchak

Susan Lucille Sinchak, age 60, of Morton Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 10:23 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born January 12, 1949, she was raised by Anthony Paul Yanotty and Madeline Cherry Yanotty.
Ms. Sinchak was a beautician and worked at Jackie Gall's Beauty Shop and various other beauty salons in the area. She attended Single Dances in Saxonburg, she played the organ for Cornerstone Baptist Church, and she worked in the Butler Junior High School cafeteria. She was a member of St. Michaels of the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Ms.Sinchak is survived by her former husband, Michael Sinchak of North Carolina; her daughter, Mary Beth Sinchak of Butler, Pennsylvania, her son, Anthony Sinchak of Butler, Pennsylvania, and her grandson, Deegan Hays.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church on Thursday, October 29 at 10:00 p.m. with Reverend Father James Dolan of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
