Barbara Ann Eury of 313 Beech Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 3:08 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of William Mazurick and Mary Staroschak Mazurick.
Mrs. Eury was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church. She was a waitress at Natili's North in Butler for 25 years.
Mrs. Eury is survived by her husband, James E. Eury, whom she marriage on November 20, 1976; her brother, Timothy J. Mazurick of Pittsburgh, her sister, Marilyn C. Marks of Winchester, Virginia; her niece, Melanie D. Marks of Berryville, Virginia; and two nephews, Scott W. Marks and Derek T. Marks of Winchester, Virginia.
Mrs. Eury was preceded in death by one son, James Matthew Eury.
At the request of Mrs. Eury, there will be no public visitation. Private graveside services will be held at Summit Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Reverend Ray Eichler of Faith United Presbyterian Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice, Visiting Nurses Association, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001.
Roy T. Hyatt

Roy T. Hyatt, age 89, formerly of Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania, a resident of Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 4:10 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born May 12, 1920 in Barren Springs, Virginia, he was the son of the late John T. Hyatt and Gertrude E. Martin Hyatt.
Mr. Hyatt had been a machinist fitter at Zimmerman & Jansen Company in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II; and he was a member of Elks Lodge #932 in Etna, Pennsylvania. Mr. Hyatt was a protestant by faith.
Mr. Hyatt is survived by his wife, Ruth Hyatt, whom he marriage on July 30, 1940; four sons, John and his wife, Pauline Hyatt of Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania; Doug Hyatt of Pennsylvania; Denver and his wife, Camille Hyatt of Monroeville, Pennsylvania; Keith and his wife, Linda Hyatt of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Ruby Dann of Titusville, Florida; and Debbie Foor of Quantico, Virginia; twenty grandchildren; several great grandchildren, several great great-grandchildren; one sister, Toni, and her husband, Ernie Clough of Florida; one brother, George Hyatt of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hyatt was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
At the family's request, there will be no public visitation
Funeral services will be held at the Lakewood Memorial Park, 943 Route 910, Cheswick, Pennsylvania 15024 on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Harris of Trinity Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Dorothy M. Burdine

Dorothy M. Burdine, age 85, formerly of Daytona Beach, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 4:30 a.m. in Butler, Pennsylvania, where she resided with her niece and nephew, Jennifer and David Brown.
Born Saturday, July 24, 1924 in Yancey, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Reverend Clarence J. Tuggle and Nannie Scalf Tuggle.
Her husband, Carson C. Burdine, died February 6, 1990.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, writing poetry and painting.
Mrs. Burdine was a member of White Chapel Church of God in Daytona Beach, Florida where she enjoyed teaching both children and senior adults in Sunday School. She was active and served as President of the Women of the Church of God, and she was manager of the White Chapel Church of God Thrift Store for many years. She was always willing to open her home to others for women's meetings and prayer groups.
Surviving are one daughter, Teresa McCay of Birmingham, Alabama; her niece, Jennifer and her husband Reverend David Brown of Butler; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; one sister, Mickey Bentley of Neon, Kentucky; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings: her brothers, Art, Paul, Marvin, and J.B. Tuggle, and her sister, Rubby Cunningham. She had a sister, Mary Ruth, who was stillborn and one brother, Gene Edgar, who died as an infant.
Friends and family of Dorothy Burdine, who died January 16, 2010, will be received at White Chapel Church of God from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. with a celebration of her life immediately following. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Lohman's Cemetery in Daytona Beach, Florida.

William D. Plaisted

William D. Plaisted, age 78, of Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony, Pennsylvania, formerly of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania died Friday, January 15, 2010 at 9:50 p.m in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born January 31, 1931 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Roy C. Plaisted and Anna Stewart Plaisted.
Mr. Plaisted was a Brick Mason. He retired as a custodian from the Community Alliance Church. He was a member of the Brick Layer's Union #17. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He received the Purple Heart as well as the Korean Service Ribbon. He was an avid gardener. He enjoyed painting on canvas and he loved singing praises to his Lord.
Mr. Plaisted is survived by three daughters, Brenda G. Thompson and her husband, Paul, of Chicora, Pennsylvania; Karen L. Thomas and her husband, David, of Portersville, Pennsylvania; and Linda S. Plaisted and her husband, Mark Spotts, of Clarksburg, Maryland; by one son, Jeffrey M. Plaisted of Fort Mill, South Carolina; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Plaisted was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Plaisted, who was deceased November 28, 2002 and by his two brothers and seven sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Community Alliance Church on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Ted Harris of Community Alliance Church officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Dolores K. Walker, age 90, of Peterson Street, Lyndora, Pennsylvania died Friday, January 15, 2010 at 12:20 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born August 21, 1919 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Albert F. Yost and Rolena Dowden.
Dolores worked as a secretary for Butler City. After retiring from the City, as part of the Senior Aide Program, she worked at Tanglewood Senior Center, the Red Cross and the Traveling Library. She was a faithful member of Oak Hills Christian Church.
Dolores is survived by one son, Michael Walker and his wife, Julie, of Butler, Pennsylvania, one daughter, Mary Lea Walker and one brother, Elmer Yost, all of Butler, Pennsylvania, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Dolores was preceded in death by one brother.

Patricia Ann "Pat" Dillon

Patricia Ann "Pat" Dillon, age 73, of Butler, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 3:40 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 8, 1936 in Oakland Township, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Earl Schreffler and Ruth Ann Dunn Schreffler Catalano.
Mrs. Dillon was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Butler and also the Women's Bible Study Group at Trinity Presbyterian Church. She belonged to the Maqueda Chapter # 421 Order of the Eastern Star and Good Samaritan Shrine # 32. Pat was a homemaker, and she enjoyed reading, cooking, working crossword puzzles, and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Mrs. Dillon is survived by her husband, William D. Dillon, whom she marriage on March 18, 1961; one son, David S. and his wife, Rosemary Dillon of Butler; two daughters, Denise M. and her husband Shane Zinn of Prospect and Dina E. and her husband Peter Donaldson of Butler; four grandchildren, Amanda Dillon and Seth Dillon, both of Butler, and Chase Zinn and Cole Zinn, both of Prospect; and four nieces and six nephews.

James R. Endfinger

James R. Endfinger, age 72 of Reich Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 7:40 p.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born August 1, 1937 in Pell City, Alabama he was the son of the late James Manuel Endfinger and Cora Pearl (Meads) Endfinger.
Mr. Endfinger was a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service at Redondo Beach, California for 32 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Butler, and served in the United States Navy.
Mr. Endfinger is survived by his wife, Emma L. Endfinger whom he marriage on March 17, 1958, by one daughter Julie West and her husband David of Butler, Pennsylvania, one grandson, Joshua West of Butler; Pennsylvania and one sister Dean Garner of Cropwell, Alabama and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Endfinger was preceded in death by one sister and his parents.
