Phyllis I. Breitmos, age 87 of 73 Beaverdam Lane, Palm Coast, Florida, died Friday, October 15, 2010 at 7:05 p.m. at her residence.
Born February 13, 1923 in Karns City, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Raymond K. Barger and Estella Mae Bartley Barger.
Mrs. Breitmos was a Clerk for AT & T where she retired in 1986. She was a Karns City graduate.
Mrs. Breitmos is survived by one son, Russell and his wife Michele Breitmos; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; nine nieces; five nephews; two brothers, Bernard and his wife, Janet Barger, and Myron and his wife Joyce Barger; two sisters, Barbara Ruffner, and Sandra Merchant and her husband, Joe.
Mrs. Breitmos was preceded in death by her husband, John Breitmos whom she marriage on March 31, 1944 and passed away December 29, 1988.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Smail of Bethlehem Ministries officiating. Burial will be in Mount Royal Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, Pennsylvania 16023.
George Albert Slupe

George Albert Slupe, age 73 of Lyndora, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 5:15 a.m. in the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born November 30, 1936 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Frank L. Slupe and Dora M. (Wise) Slupe.
Mr. Slupe was employed at Pullman Standard and then went to work for Robinson Industries in Zelienople, Pennsylvania after that he worked at the U.S. Post Office in Lyndora. He was a member of the American Legion #778 of Lyndora and the Meridian Vets Club. Mr. Slupe enjoyed woodworking and family get togethers. He was a veteran in the United States Army.
Mr. Slupe is survived by his wife, Rose Ann (Jurysta) Slupe whom he marriage on May 3, 1958, two sons, George Kevin Slupe and his wife, Julie of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Kirby E. Slupe and his wife, Qin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; four daughters, Kim Hirsch and her husband, Rick of Butler, Pennsylvania, Kelly Jenkins and her husband, Keith of Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania, Kathy Slupe of Lyndora, Pennsylvania, and Karen Slupe and fianc� Dan Fritz of Butler, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, Jason, Dawn, Weston, Ashlan, Alaina, Lauren, Julia, Keith Jr. and Jeremiah; one great-grand-daughter, Carissa; two brothers, Charles Slupe and his wife, Elaine of Winchester, Virginia, and Frank L. Slupe, Jr. and his wife, Carole of Huntsville, Alabama; one sister, Velma Baxter of Butler, Pennsylvania; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 200 East North St. Butler, Pennsylvania on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. J. David Panther of First United Methodist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 200 East North St. Butler, Pennsylvania 16001.
Dorothy G. Hackett

Dorothy G. Hackett age 80 of East Jefferson St. Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of Benbrook Road,
went to be with her Lord on Saturday October 16, 2010 at 11:21 a.m. in the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Butler, Pennsylvania on February 19, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Aaron Miller and Margaret Gessler Miller. Mrs. Hackett was of the Baptist faith and retired from the Eagle Printery.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Victor Glenn Hackett on January 4, 1992.
She is survived by one son, Kevin Hackett of Butler and two daughters, Mrs. Karin Birckbichler and her husband John of Jackson, New Jersey, and Kimberly Johnson of Butler, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren, Cheyanne and Heather Johnson, Tiffany Sober, Dustin Hackett, Tabitha Birckbichler-Tahaney, Sabrina, Michael and Matthew Birckbichler; one great granddaughter, Victoria Johnson; one brother, Aaron Eugene Miller of Butler, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she also was preceded in death by one sister, Mathilda Brown.
Private visitation and funeral services were held. Interment was in The Butler County Memorial Park.
Margaret Elizabeth Shettler Emery

Margaret Elizabeth Shettler Emery, age 80 of Fairview Avenue, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 3:20 p.m. at her residence.
Born March 27, 1930 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Frederick Michael Schettler and Jennie Mahood Schettler.
Margaret was an Auto Accounts Clerk for Nationwide Insurance where she retired from in 1985. She was a member of Christ's Outreach Church and enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles and visiting with friends. She was involved with Meals on Wheels while her health permitted..
Margaret is survived by two daughters, Susan Elaine Emery, with whom she resided with and Shirley Elizabeth and her husband Harold Engel of Butler, Pennsylvania; two sister-in-laws, Shirley Shuber and Elizabeth Emery; four nieces and four nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers, one daughter, Anita Joanne Emery and her former husband, Robert J. Emery.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Velma Lucille Fennell

Velma Lucille Fennell, age 94 went home to be with the Lord October 20 at 1:30 a.m. at Sunnyview Home.
She was born in Fenelton, Pennsylvania. Her parents were Abraham and Jane Fennell.
Velma first love was Jesus Christ and second, her church family. She was the eldest member of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church. Velma enjoyed reading and attending church functions and she had a fondness of animals.
Velma is survived by nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Leonard John Sassone

Leonard John Sassone, age 89 of Elliott Drive died Friday, October 22, 2010 at 1:35 a.m. in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born November 9, 1920 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of John Sassone and Vencenza Cavalero Sassone.
Mr. Sassone was an expediter in the paint shop at Pullman Standard for 34 years until the plant closing. He was a member of North Main Street Church of God. Mr. Sassone was a member of the Keenagers Sunday School and a former usher. He was also a former member of the Young Men's Christian Association and United Commercial Travelers. Mr. Sassone was an avid sports fan, especially for the Steelers. He enjoyed gardening and canning.
Mr. Sassone is survived by his wife, Esther Herr Sassone whom he marriage on June 9, 1955 and also by three sons, John Carl, Braden Lee and his wife, Kendee Kay and Edward Paul all of Butler, Pennsylvania, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sassone was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held at the North Main Street Church of God on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend David Brown and Reverend Ken C. Hall of North Main Street of God officiating. Interment will follow in the North Side Cemetery.
Roger A. Angert

Roger A. Angert, Sr., age 67, of Center Township died Friday, October 22, 2010 at 7:05 p.m. at his residence.
Born October 10, 1943 in Butler he was the son of the late, Clarence R. Angert and Olive J. Christy Angert.
Mr. Angert worked for AK Steel in the Hot Mill where he retired in January 2003. After his retirement from AK Steel he drove for Air Ride. He then went on to Advance Auto as a parts delivery person. Mr. Angert was a member of the American Legion Post #117 for 12 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He served in the United States Army in Germany.
Mr. Angert is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Angert whom he marriage on May 31, 1986 and also by two sons, Robert Angert and Roger A. Angert, Jr.; three daughters, Caroline Lingenfelter, Ina Rhody, and Rheanne (Angert) Haddox; three stepsons, William Daw III, James W. Daw and Robert Harbison, Jr.; three stepdaughters, Sherry Doerr, Lori Dougherty and Tammy Spinneweber; sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Angert and his wife, Cecelia and Brad Angert and one niece, Tiffany Arblaster.
Mr. Angert was preceded in death by one sister, Joyann Angert.
