Grayce S. Schrumpf, 80 of Yellow Creek Road, Prospect, died Monday, October 18, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. in Evie's Country Care.
Born December 1, 1923 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of George H. McCaslin and Nellie Schlagel.
She was a homemaker and protestant by faith.
Mrs. Schrumpf is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Terry L. Snyder, one son Thomas Andrew Borcz both of Prospect, Pennsylvania, one step-son, John W. Meyers of Harmony, Pennsylvania, four grandsons, three step-grandchildren, one brother, Clyde E. McCaslin of Meridian, Pennsylvania, one sister, Mrs. Velma A. Borcz of Butler, Pennsylvania, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Schrumpf is preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Borcz who passed away on August 19, 1989 and by her second husband, Louis Schrumpf, who passed away on June 28, 1990 and by two sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday, October 21, 2004 at 11:00 with Reverend Kenneth C. Hall, minister of visitation at North Main Street Church of God officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Dorothy H. Dellen
May 8, 1925 - October 17, 2004
Dorothy H. "Glory" Dellen, 79 of East Brady, died Sunday, October 17, 2004 in Allegheny General Hospital.
Born May 8, 1925 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of George Gordon and Nellie Anthony.
Mrs. Dellen worked as a waitress for Vin and Joes retiring in 1986 after 25 plus years of service. She was Lutheran by faith. She was active with the Oneida Valley Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and active with the East Brady American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Dellen is survived by one son, George V. Dellen of East Brady, Pennsylvania, one granddaughter, one grandson, one great grand daughter, one brother, Norman Gordon of Holly Hill, Florida, and by one sister, Mrs. William (Ruth) Stivenson of Butler, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Dellen was preceded in death by her husband Silvester H. "Steve" Dellen, who passed away on March 6, 1991, by a daughter and a sister.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Denis W. Molnar, pastor of Trinity Presbyterian church officiating. Interment will follow in North Butler Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Goldie A. Gilliland
March 18, 1919 - October 16, 2004
Goldie A. Gilliland, 85 of Marion, Ohio, a resident for 10 years, formerly a resident of Butler, died Saturday, October 16, 2004 at her residence.
Born March 18, 1919 in Zelienople, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Frank Hollerman and Goldie Myers Hollerman.
Mrs. Gilliland was a homemaker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Marion and the Ruth Esther circle, Pleasant Senior Citizens. She was a former member of White Oaks Springs Presbyterian Church in Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Gilliland is survived by one son, Robert L. Gilliland and his wife Barb of Marion, Ohio, one daughter, Carole Jacobson and her husband Duane of Eyota, Minnesota, seven grandchildren, Rob and his wife Christine, Dennis and his wife Julie, Lee Ann and her husband Travis, Chris and his wife Deena, Brandon and his wife Kate, Darren and Erin, seven great-grandchildren, Megan, Robbie, Emma, Kate, Wyatt, Mason, and Lucy Jane, two brothers, Arthur Hollerman and David Hollerman both of Zelienople, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Gilliland was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lewis Gilliland, whom she marriage on December 4, 1937 in Pennsylvania, he passed away in 1987. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Luther Hollerman and one sister Ruth Balazs.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Friday, October 22, 2004 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., Friday, October 22, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend William Dreyer Officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.

Nancy L. Hilliard, 52 of Walnut Lane, West Sunbury, died Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 11:05 A.M. in U.P.M.C. Presbyterian.
Born December 6, 1951 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Albert F. Hilliard and Helen E. Miller Hilliard.
She worked as a clerk for Thompson's Market in West Sunbury. She was protestant by faith. She enjoyed playing cards, watching golf on TV and being with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Kim Ponteous, one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Nicole) Zook of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, her parents, Albert and Helen Hilliard of Portersville, Pennsylvania, one sister, Mrs. Mike (Mary Ellen) Halahurich of Butler, Pennsylvania, and by a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania.
Martha L. Lippold
October 7, 1908 - October 16, 2004
Martha L. Lippold, age 96 formerly of Park Manor and Brown Ave. in Butler, Pennsylvania, currently a resident of Concordia Lutheran Ministries passed away Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 3:30 A.M. at Concordia Lutheran Home.
Born in Tauregas, Germany on October 7, 1908. She was the daughter of the late Albert Merkner and Matilda Kroledeis Merkner.
Mrs. Lippold was a graduate of Butler High School. She retired as a seamstress from Montgomery Ward. She was a member of St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for sixty-two years. She was active in the women's organizations of the church and was a former member of the Butler County Child Evangelism Organization; she held classes in her home.
Mrs. Lippold was marriage to Howard L. Lippold on June 17, 1929, he preceded her in death on January 23, 1978.
She is survived by four sons; Howard (Ted) Lippold and his wife Dorothy of Grove City, Pennsylvania, William Lippold and his wife Mary of St Augustine, Florida, Larry Lippold and his wife Joanne of Butler, Pennsylvania, one daughter, Brenda K. Lippold of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, one daughter in-law Shirley Lippold of Youngstown, Ohio. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one son: Donald E. Lippold in 2003, four brothers and four sisters.

Lippold will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church on Wednesday October 20, 2004 from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Funeral services will follow from St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church at 1:00 P.M. with the Reverend Richard Leseganich of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in South Cemetery Butler, Pennsylvania.

John E. Leonard
October 16, 1925 - October 15, 2004
John E. Leonard, 78 of Freedom Road, Butler, Pennsylvania passed away Friday, October 15, 2004 at 2:25 P.M. in the emergency room of the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania on October 16, 1925, he was the son of the late Edward F. Leonard and Mary Park Leonard.
Mr. Leonard was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He received a bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree from Westminster College. He retired in 1987 after thirty-six years from the Butler Area School District where he served as a senior high business teacher. He conducted the adult education classes and the co-op program. He was very active in The Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees. He was a member of The Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, A.A.R.P. and the Tanglewood Senior Center. He enjoyed music, gardening, golf and travel.
Mr. Leonard is survived by his wife Jessie Fowler Leonard, they were marriage on April 28, 1951 by three sons, John E. (Ted) Leonard Jr. of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, David L. Leonard of Virginia Beach, Virginia and James R. Leonard of Bristol, Tennessee, one daughter, Cathy Leonard Getch of Wilmette, Illinois, eight grandchildren, three brothers, William Leonard and Thomas Leonard of Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania, Richard Leonard of Warren, Ohio, three sisters, Mrs. Helen Bush and Mrs. Thomas (Joan) Anderson of Niles, Ohio, Mrs. June Zike of Highpoint, North Carolina by seventeen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son: Keith Fowler Leonard.
