Georgia R. McKindree, age 90, of Marwood Road, Cabot, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, April 8, 2010 in faith, and with loving care, at the Good Samaritan Hospice of Concordia in Cabot, Pennsylvania.
Born March 22, 1920 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of John L. Ringer and Bernice Miller Ringer.
Mrs. McKindree was a member of St. Peter's Anglican Church in Butler, Pennsylvania. She was a former member of the Rainbow Girls # 25, and a member of the Eastern Star Maqueda Chapter # 421. She was a founding member of the Lake Arthur Ladies Golf League, and had a golf team named after her. Mrs. McKindree was a member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. McKindree is survived by her husband, Harold L. (Ted) McKindree, whom she marriage March 22, 1940; also by one son, Gary L. McKindree and his wife, Judy of Butler, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Georgia L. Litz and her husband, Vincent of Butler, Pennsylvania and Bonita Springs, Florida; and four grandchildren, Beth Gillan and her husband, Andrew; Ron Litz and his wife, Dawn-Marie; Jennifer Petrus and her husband, Brad; and Erin Linnon and her husband, Brion; six great-grandchildren, Delia and Arlo Petrus, Ian and Zoe Gillan, and Ethan and Connor Linnon; one sister, Jeannie Kerr and her husband, Gene of New Castle, Pennsylvania, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McKindree was preceded in death by one sister, Joanne McKee of New Castle, Pennsylvania.
Burial was in the North Side Cemetery, Butler, Pennsylvania.

Edward C. Albert

Edward C. Albert, age 65, beloved husband, father, and pappy, died peacefully at his home on Windy Drive, Center Township, Butler, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, April 6, 2010.
Born October 12, 1944 in Butler, Pennsylvania he was the son of Carl Albert and the late Clara Berry Albert.
Mr. Albert's family remembers his love and dedication to his beloved wife of 43 years, Karen, his children and his grandchildren. Edward was a double lung transplant recipient due to Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis since July 2001. Edward worked in the Hot Mill Department at AK Steel, retiring in 1998 after 30 years. He loved to play bocce ball, and he and Karen enjoyed traveling and spending the winters in Florida with family and friends.
Mr. Albert leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Karen L. Albert, whom he marriage on April 15, 1967; two sons, Scott and his wife, Miriam Albert of Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and Shawn Albert of Daytona Beach, Florida; his brother, Ronald and his wife, Linda Albert of Plantation, Florida; a daughter-in-law, Meri Albert of Ormond Beach; three grandchildren, Abbie Albert, Emma Albert, and Mateo Albert; his father, Carl Albert of Plantation, Florida; three sisters-in-law and husbands, two brothers-in-law and wives; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
A blessing service for Edward C. Albert will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Steve Neff of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Mary C. Anderson, age 94, formerly of Old Eberhart Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 2:45 p.m. in the Sugar Creek Rest in Worthington, Pennsylvania .
Born January 12, 1916 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late William Bauer and Caroline Leitz Bauer.
Mrs. Anderson was a maintenance worker at the former Mellon Bank in Butler, retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler, where she had been a member of the King's Daughters Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by three sons, James G. Anderson and his wife, DeVonna of Prospect, Pennsylvania; Harry B. Anderson and his wife, Joyce of Hudson, Wisconsin; and Clifford G. Anderson, Jr. of Butler, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford G. Anderson, who passed away on February 14, 1983; and four brothers and two sisters.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Maureen Verna Moore Frost, age 64, of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center passed away on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Queens, New York, on February 25, 1946, she was the daughter of Vincent Moore and Verna Shaw Moore.
Mrs. Frost was a waitress. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, East Rockaway, New York.
Mrs. Frost is survived by one daughter, Belinda Diaz of Slippery Rock and one son, Benjamin Frost of Paterson, New Jersey; two stepchildren, Cathy McNealy of Toms River, New Jersey and Randall McNealy of Philadelphia; five grandchildren, Ashley Maureen Frost, Angelina Maureen Diaz, Catherine Rose Diaz, Michael Patrick Diaz II, and Katie McNealy; and one brother, Brian Moore and his wife, Linda of Long Beach, New York.
Mrs. Frost was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Sage Frost, who passed away on May 16, 2002.
A memorial service for Mrs. Frost will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Slippery Rock Baptist Church 435 Kiester Road, Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania 16057 with Reverend David Barnhouse officiating.

Nancy J. Treser, age 88, of Butler, Pennsylvania, formerly of Newhaven Court, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 2:35 p.m. in the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia.
Born June 18, 1921 in Butler, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Robert Y. McConnachie and Hazel Mae Turner McConnachie.
Mrs. Treser was a 1939 Butler High School graduate. She then went on to attend the Butler Memorial School of Nursing, graduating in 1943. She also attended the University of Pittsburgh. She became a Registered Nurse and worked as an office nurse for Dr. Robert S. Lucas. She was a life member of Calvary Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Butler, where she served as a Deacon of the church. She belonged to the Butler Memorial Hospital Alumnae Association; was a member of Butler Court. # 45 Order of Eastern Star; was a member of Good Samaritan Shrine # 32, and a charter member of Butler Court. # 145 Order of Amaranth.
Mrs.Treser is survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and her good friend, Joanne Niggel of Butler.
Mrs. Treser was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Treser, who passed away April 16, 1992.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend James Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the North Side Cemetery, Butler, Pennsylvania.
Bruce Alan Burkholder Berdy

Bruce Alan Burkholder Berdy, age 63 of Butler died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at U.P.M.C. Montefiore, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Born November 8, 1946, in Butler, PA, Bruce was the son of the late John J. and Grace Eleanor Burkholder Berdy.
Bruce was a graduate of Butler High and Butler Community College majoring in architectural design. His career with various companies involved designing industrial, municipal and medical facilities. Later Bruce accepted employment with the Butler V.A. Medical Center as a Project Engineer where he retired in June of 2009
Bruce served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a decorated and wounded Viet Nam and Southeast Asia veteran receiving the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Local Butler American Legion.
He is survived by two Brothers, J. Stephen Berdy and wife Lilene of Newark, NY, James E. Berdy and wife Deidre of Sevierville, TN, a nephew L. Stephen Berdy and wife Candie, great niece Miranda, great nephew Aidan of Victor, NY and niece Lanalee Buziak and husband Jeff of Fredericksburg, VA. Also longtime close friends Kiyoko Riott and Christopher Savage both of Butler.
Bruce loved classic and muscle cars displaying his vehicle in many local events along with his love for the history of the American railroad system. He was an avid collector of model cars and trains along with mementos of the Viet Nam era.
Anyone who's path crossed his life would find his humor and compassion enriching their life as well. He always left them laughing.
Services will be held at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, May 1, 2010 with visitation from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and a service at 4 p.m. with cousin Rev. Larry Burkholder of Faith Independent Baptist Church of Frostburg, MD. Burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery Washington, D.C.

Clair Irene Doutt

Clair Irene Doutt, age 95 of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center formerly of Wilkins Avenue died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 7:20 p.m. in the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born August 3, 1914 in Butler, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late George Clair Martin and Cora Clay Martin Bowser.
Mrs. Doutt was a Sales Clerk for Troutmans where she retired from in 1978, also she worked as a banquet waitress at the Holiday Inn in Butler, Pennsylvania. She was Methodist by faith. Mrs. Doutt was a life member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and the South Butler Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed bowling and playing golf.
Mrs. Doutt is survived by two sons, Richard C. and his wife Esther Doutt of Butler, Pennsylvania and Gary Doutt of Butler, Pennsylvania; one daughter, Janet Eileen and her husband Paul Graham of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; a number grandchildren, a number great grandchildren; and number of great great grandchildren; one brother Clarence and his wife Dorothy Bowser of Texas; two daughter-in-laws, Reba J. Doutt of Butler, Pennsylvania and Jean Doutt of Chesapeake, Virginia and also by a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Doutt was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Doutt whom she marriage on September 11, 1929 and passed away on March 15, 1968 and also by five sons, one grandson, one sister, and one brother.
Friends will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. with Reverend Patricia Nelson of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
