Ellsworth Gearinger, 81, of Penn Hills died April 10, 2000.
Mr. Gearinger was a 1937 graduate of Wilkinsburg High School, where he served on the reunion committee.
A veteran of World War II, he served with 5th Army Headquarters, earning three Bronze Stars and a Good Conduct Medal.
He worked as head of delivery for Kaufmann's Department Stores from the 1940s to the mid-1960s and with Prudential Insurance Co. as a special agent for 20 years. In 1998, he retired from West Penn AAA at the age of 80.
Mr. Gearinger was well-known in the area for his acting, having been seen for decades at the Pittsburgh Playhouse and in the East Suburbs with Penn Hills Players. He also made several TV commercials and played small parts in two locally filmed movies.
He was an active member of South Avenue Methodist Church for more than 60 years.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Gearinger; daughters, Helen Claus, Barbara Simpson and Vivian Claus; a sister, Mildred Louise Gearinger; a brother, Marlin Gearinger; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Soxman Funeral Homes.
Fred William Goddard, 68, of Turtle Creek died April 28, 2000, at Forbes Regional Hospital.
Born in Braddock, the son of Fred and Mabel Ola Goddard, he was a retired lathe operator with Celwave.
Surviving are his wife, Judith Elaine Goddard; his children, Sharon Welch, Robin Goddard and Linda Goddard; sisters, Faith Johnson, Sara Devareaux and Marie Betts; and five grandchildren.
Friends were received at Jobe Funeral Home, where services were held with the Rev. Bryl Shaver officiating. Interment
was at Monongahela Cemetery .
Paul Heasley, 63, of Monroeville died April 29, 2000.
Mr. Heasley was a retired employee of Westinghouse with most of his career spent at the Nuclear Division, Forest Hills.
He was a veteran of the Army.
Surviving are his wife, Genevieve Hughes Heasley; his children, Michele Mathews and Renee Scocherra, both of Monroeville, Kevin Heasley of Mamont, Jeanine Colozza of Cleveland, Brian Heasley of Penn Hills, Chris Heasley of Georgia and Erin Pascarella of Pitcairn; sisters, Delores Early and Sally Martire; brothers, John and Thomas Heasley; and 14 grandchildren.

Harry E. "Butch" Heller Jr. 57, of North Versailles died April 21, 2000.
Surviving are his sister, Carol Trappen of Greenock; a brother, Edward Heller of North Huntingdon; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in Linway United Presbyterian Church. Arrangements were handled by Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home.
Grace Hill, 90, of Plum died April 29, 2000 in Beverly Manor in Monroeville.
She was born Jan. 22, 1910, in Turtle Creek, the daughter of Jacob and Wilda Cunningham Strale.
Mrs. Hill was a member of Holiday Park United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hill.
Surviving are her daughters, Wilda Curtis of Delmont and Mary Remaley of Louisville, Ky.; sons, Frank Hill of Murrysville and Kevin Hill of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Alda Minnis; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Margaret M. Goldner Hoegle, a lifelong resident of Turtle Creek, died April 30, 2000.
Mrs. Hoegle was a member of Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters of America at St. Colman Church. She also served at St. Colman Parish as CCD teacher, lector and eucharistic minister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hoegle; and sisters, Catherine Tighe and Marie Divens.
Surviving are her sister, Mildred Hursh; and many nieces and nephews.

Harold "Dood" Jackson, 85, of Wilkins died April 24, 2000.
Mr. Jackson was a retired locomotive engineer for Westinghouse East Pittsburgh. He also was a part-time employee of Best Feeds Centers in Turtle Creek.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine Drozdowski Jackson; his children, Norma Jean Rubash of Illinois, Marlene Croyle of Florida and Mark Jackson of Chalfant; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was a past matron of OES and Order of the Amaranth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kim.

Mary I. Lingenfelter, 75, of North Versailles died April 30, 2000.
