Rene P. Pellegrini, 78, of 611 W. Penn St. died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Sunnyview Nursing Home.
Born Jan. 5, 1923, in Butler, he was a son of Primo and Cesira Collodi Pellegrini.
He retired in 1985 as a driver for the City of Butler Street Department after more than 20 years.
Mr. Pellegrini was a member of St. Anthony Antiochian Orthodox Church, where he was a former board member and vice president of the church.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps and a member of VFW Post 249 and American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora. He was also a member of the Slovak Club in Lyndora.
Surviving are his wife, Norma J. Isaac Pellegrini, whom he married Jan. 29, 1949; a daughter, Mrs. James (Susan) McIntyre of California; two brothers, Arthur and Joseph Pellegrini, both of Butler; a sister, Yolanda Pucci of Butler; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Two sisters preceded him in death.
PELLEGRINI - Friends of Rene P. Pellegrini, who died Thursday, June 7, 2001, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday from St. Anthony Antiochian Orthodox Church. The Rev. Kevin Long, church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.
Trisaigon services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
James C. Meyers
James C. Meyers, 80, of Zelienople died Tuesday at Ellwood City Hospital.
Born Aug. 16, 1920, in Zelienople, he was the son of Carl C. and Hazel Duffy Meyers.
He had owned and operated Isalys dairy store on Main Street in Zelienople with his wife, retiring in 1979 after 33 years.
Mr. Meyers was a member of the Calvin Presbyterian Church of Zelienople and Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM.
He was an avid boater and enjoyed traveling in his RV.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
His wife, Margaret “Peg” Meyers, died Oct. 11, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Meyers of Florida and Denny Meyers of Annapolis, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Christopher (Susan) Arnold of Zelienople; and five grandchildren. A brother, Jay Myers of Iowa and a sister, Dorothy Hall also survive.
Funeral services were today at Seaman Memorial Chapel, Passavant Health Center, Zelienople. Entombment was at Zelienople Community Mausoleum.

Paul R. Kelly
Paul R. Kelly, 85, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Evans City and Millvale, died Wednesday morning, June 6, 2001, at Grove Manor, Grove City.
Born Jan. 25, 1916, in the Mount Troy area of Pittsburgh, he was the son of Paul R. and Sarah I. Sullivan Kelly.
He attended the Westminster United Presbyterian Church while living in Evans City and was a member of the American Legion Post 393 of Slippery Rock and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Also he was involved in the Foster Grandparent Program.
Mr. Kelly was retired as a butcher and had worked in various supermarkets.
He was an Army private first class in the 685th Port Co. during World War II and received the European-African-Middle-Eastern Service Metal with two bronze stars and a bronze arrowhead.
Surviving are his wife, Theresa R. Fink Kelly, and nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Pinewood Memorial Park, Cranberry Township.
Arrangements are being handled by KINSEY-VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, Evans City.
Robert G. Hansotte
Robert G. Hansotte, 79, of 729 Center Ave. died at 2:50 p.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a one-year illness.
Born in Butler, Dec. 16, 1921, he was the son of Camille and Alice LeRoy Hansotte.
He retired from Armco-Butler Works in 1983 after 41 years.
Mr. Hansotte was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church and Lyndora American Legion Michael Kosar Post 778. He was an honorary life member of Parker City Volunteer Fire Department.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Orton Hansotte to whom he was married for 54 years; a son, Ronald Hansotte of New Castle; a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Tina) Dunkle of Butler; a brother, Richard Hansotte of Butler; and five grandchildren. Also surviving are an uncle, retired Col. Raymond Hansotte of Colorado and a number of nieces and nephews.
A brother preceded him in death.

Hansotte, who died Thursday, June 7, 2001, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue. The Rev. James Dolan, church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Allegheny Cemetery , near Parker.
The Bereavement Group of St. Michael Parish will hold a scriptural wake service at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Members of Lyndora American Legion Michael Kosar Post 778 will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Marietta Davis
Marietta Davis, 80, formerly of Zelienople and East Butler, died Jan. 6, 2001,, in Daytona Beach, Fla., where she lived for 36 years.
She was born Oct. 24, 1920.
Her husband, David Clair Davis, and a son preceded her in death.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Irwin and Kathy Berry, both of Florida, and Sharon Cooper of Maryland; a son, David Davis of Utah; six grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
DAVIS - A memorial service for Marietta Davis, who died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Zelienople Cemetery .
Clarence A. Reamer
Clarence A. Reamer, 95, of Saxonburg died Thursday at Outlook Pointe in Saxonburg.
Born May 11, 1906, in Sarver, he was the son of Albert and Bertha Gibson Reamer.
Mr. Reamer had been a steelworker at Allegheny Ludlum in Tarentum for 37 years.
He was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church of Sarver.
He had also served in the Army.
Mr. Reamer is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Arlene) Ekas of Saxonburg and Mrs. Ronald (Donna) Christie of Port Richey, Fla.; a son, Vernon Reamer of Cave Creek, Ariz.; two sisters, Helen Divers and Beulah Wagner, both of Butler; and a brother, John Reamer of Lower Burrell. Also surviving are six grandchildren and a step-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Seibert Reamer, who died Nov. 8, 2000; a sister; and two brothers.
REAMER - Friends of Clarence A. Reamer, who died Thursday, June 7, 2001, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, Saxonburg. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Howard Greenfield, pastor of Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver, officiating. Burial will be at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery .
The American Legion will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home,

Edward H. Ondrizek
Edward H. Ondrizek, 91, of Gettysburg, formerly of the Zelienople area, died Sunday morning, June 10, 2001, at Gettysburg Lutheran Retirement Village.
Born Feb. 2, 1910, in Blairsville, Indiana County, he was the son of Edward J. and Mary D. Henderson Ondrizek.
He was a member of the Zelienople English Lutheran Church, where he had been a deacon and served in other capacities. He was a former member of the Odd Fellows.
A 1929 graduate of Blairsville High School, he retired as plant supervisor at Universal Manufacturing, after 37 years. He later was a radio dispatcher for the Zelienople Police Department for more than 20 years.
In 1951, he was one of the founders of the Zelienople-Harmony Athletic Association, where he had been active in youth baseball and served as coach, umpire and board member. He also was secretary of the Zelienople Community Parks Association for years.
He was an active bowler and hunter well into his 80s.
His wife, Harriett Marsh Ondrizek, died in 1998.
Surviving are a son, Lynn Ondrizek of Gettysburg; a daughter, Janet R. Romanick of Rochester, N.Y.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. A brother, Albert Ondrizek of Florida; two sisters, Doris Uncapher and Darl Grizbicki, both of Blairsville; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Josephine A. Karch
Josephine A. Karch, 93, formerly of Bonniebrook Road, died at 12:45 a.m. Sunday at Ridgeview Boarding Home, Fenelton.
Born in Ford City, Armstrong County, May 30, 1908, she was the daughter of Sebastian and Agnes Kreutz Weber.
Mrs. Karch was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman and had been a charter member of the Herman Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, Edward A. Karch of Butler; three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Dolores) McClafferty of Fenelton, Mrs. Josephine Schnur of Herman and Mrs. Edward (Elaine) Bercik of Edinboro; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Four brothers, John, Base, Albert and Leonard Weber, all of Butler also survive.
Her husband, Adam J. Karch, died Feb. 9, 1983. A son, grandson, three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Nellie M. Hunt
Mrs. Nellie M. Hunt, 95, of New Castle died at 7 a.m. Sunday at Hill View Manor.
Born Aug. 11, 1905, in Slippery Rock Township, she was the daughter of Robert and Jennie VanHorne White.
She worked as a day care worker at the Day Care Center in Butler, as a teacher at the Aiken School in Butler, and was the co-owner and operator of the Grocery Store in Butler.
She is survived by her children, Robert Hunt and C. Everett Hunt, both of New Castle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Hunt, who died in 1975; and by four brothers.

Oliver G. Hile
Oliver G. Hile, 88, of Karns City died at 5:25 p.m. Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born June 6, 1913, in East Brady, he was the son of William A. and Margaret Minnie May Crawford Hile.
He was a Protestant.
Mr. Hile was a member of the Pennsylvania Sheriffs Association, Local 6346-25 of the USWA, the Butler County Horseshoe League and Chicora Moose Lodge 962 and a social member of Bradys Bend American Legion Post 488.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseshoes and bowling. He also enjoyed playing softball, and during his younger years had played in various softball leagues, where he earned the reputation of being an excellent pitcher.
He had worked at Koppers, now INDSPEC, in Petrolia for 28 years, and retired as a pipe fitter in 1975.
Surviving are three sons, Robert G. Hile of Karns City, and William J. and Barry L. Hile, both of Chicora; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and A number of nieces and nephews.
His wife, M. Grace McElray Hile, whom he married Sept. 16, 1934, in Karns City, died Sept. 4, 1992. Four brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.
