Donna Marie Crawford

Donna Marie Crawford, 63, of 45 W. 10th St., Greenville, Mercer County, died at 7:14 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2001, at United Community Hospital in Pine Township after an extended illness.

Born July 9, 1937, in Butler, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Catherine Musthaf Furey.

Mrs. Crawford was a homemaker and a Catholic.

She is survived by her husband, Howard S. Crawford, whom she married in November 1954; four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Linda) Scott of Mercer, Mrs. Randy (Stacey) Daye of Sandy Lake, Mrs. Kenneth (Kathy) Kane of West Middlesex and Mrs. Jay (Kimberly) Wolfe of Greenville; three sons, Larry Crawford of Sharon, Peter Crawford of Mercer and Richard Crawford of Sharpsville; four sisters, Mrs. David (Sandra) Lewis of Marienville, Lois Watterson of New Castle, Mrs. Herman (Patty) Rounce of Chicora and Mrs. Carol Osche of Fenelton; and three brothers, William, Lawrence and Paul Furey, all of Fenelton. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, a daughter and a sister preceded her in death.

Services were Monday at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, Mercer. The Rev. James Kennelley, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, officiated. Burial was at Mount Washington Cemetery , Jefferson Township, Mercer County.

Alice I. Bryan

Alice I. Bryan, 78, of Hooker died at 6:29 p.m. Monday at Sugar Creek Rest after an illness.

Born Aug. 29, 1922, in Butler County, she was the daughter of David John and Dora Kay Keffer Swope.

She was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church and the Mary Kay Club, both in Hooker.

Mrs. Bryan had been a line worker at Penn Champ, East Butler.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Gladys) Gordon of Bruin, Mrs. Gary (Hazel) Weitzel of Florida and Linda Morris of Montana; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Moon and Mrs. Mary Moon, both of Volant; and two brothers, Paul Swope of Grove City and John David Swope of South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyal H. Bryan, who died Oct. 16, 1994; three brothers; and two sisters.

BRYAN - Friends of Alice I. Bryant, who died Monday, May 28, 2001, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, West Sunbury. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Mathias, her church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Concord Church Cemetery , Hooker.

Edward T. Weleski Sr.

Edward T. Weleski Sr., 83, of Cabot died Wednesday at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.

Born in Carnegie, Feb. 11, 1918, he was the son of Martin W. and Anna Margaret Blascheck Weleski.

He had been president and co-owner of Winfield Lime & Stone Co.

Mr. Weleski was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Cabot and the Saxonburg American Legion Post 683.

During World War II, he served with the Army in Europe in the Anti-tank Co. 18th Infantry, 1st Division.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Bielski Weleski, whom he married May 15. 1946; four sons, Edward T. Weleski Jr. of West Grove, Chester County, Kenneth J. Weleski of Scottsbluff, Neb., Dennis M. Weleski of Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, and Thomas A. Weleski of Natrona Heights; and three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Roseann W.) Rybicki of Kittanning, Mrs. Charles (Karen L.) Love of Butler and Mrs. Curtis (Jane M.) Rea of Natrona Heights; 13 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Three brothers, Charles, Robert and Richard Weleski, all of Cabot; and four sisters, Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Rockar, Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Sepich and Mrs. James (Anna Margaret) Boldy, all of Cabot, and Mrs. Lucille Green of Sarver, also survive.

Two brothers preceded him in death.

WELESKI - Friends of Edward T. Weleski Sr., who died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at FOX FUNERAL HOME Saxonburg. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Greb, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery , Herman.

A parish wake service will be held at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 315 Stoney Hollow Road, Cabot, PA 16023; or to Saxonburg Area Library, P.O. Box 454, Saxonburg, PA 16056.

Walter B. Terbovich

Walter B. Terbovich, 69, of 109 Linhurst Ave., Butler Township, died at 6:58 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2001, in the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Lyndora, July 15, 1931, he was the son of Walter B. and Mary Agich Terbovich.

He retired as the owner of the Terbovich Beer Distributor, Lyndora.

Mr. Terbovich was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church of Lyndora, Elks Lodge 170, VFW Post 249, Moose Lodge 64, the American Legion and the SKOL Club.

He was an Army veteran and had been a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne in Germany.

Surviving are his wife, Agnes R. Kovach Terbovich, whom he married Aug. 11, 1966; three sons, James W. Terbovich of Columbus, Ohio, George S. Terbovich of Stoutsville, Ohio, and Stephen J. Terbovich of Fort Benning, Ga.; and three granddaughters. A sister, Mrs. Barbara Scholle of Pittsburgh also survives.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

There will be no public visitation or service.

THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME is handling arrangements.

Sandra Lynn Prorok

Sandra Lynn Siford Prorok, 36, of Harrisville died at 12:50 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2001, at United Community Hospital in Grove City.

Born July 6, 1964, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Lillian Hollenbeck Siford and the late Howard Siford.

She was a graduate of Hampton High School and had worked as a secretary and waitress at various businesses.

She was a member of the Allison Park Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Martin Prorok; a stepson, Garrett Prorok of Harrisville; her mother of Boyers; a family friend, Richard Ash of Boyers; a sister, Laurie Siford of Boyers; and two nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by a grandmother.

Private services and burial were held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were handled by YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, West Sunbury.

Ethel K. Pfirrman

Ethel K. Pfirrman, 93, of Middlesex Township died Wednesday at her home.

Born in Dorseyville, Allegheny County, on March 24, 1908, she was the daughter of Charles and Margaret Thomas.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Wilbur H. Pfirrman, died in 1993. Three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.

PFIRRMAN - Friends of Ethel K. Pfirrman, who died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Dorseyville.

John J. Moscar Sr.

John J. Moscar Sr., 83, of Clarksburg, W.Va., died Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Clarksburg, July 9, 1917, he was the son of Samuel and Maria Varca Moscar.

He had retired from the Rolland Glass Co. in Clarksburg after 46 years.

Mr. Moscar was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish and the East View Community Action Association in Clarksburg and attended St. Fidelis Parish, Meridian.

During World War II, he was a master sergeant in the Army Air Corps.

He is survived by a son, John J. Moscar Jr. of La Plata, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Bernadette) Sanderson of Butler, with whom he made his home since 1999; and two grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Sam (Virginia) Oliverio of Stonewood, W.Va., and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

His wife of 49 years, Rose Bruno Moscar, died in 1996. Five sisters, three brothers and several nieces and nephews also preceded him in death.

MOSCAR - Friends of John J. Moscar Sr. who died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, will be received from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at BARTOLO FUNERAL HOME, 515 W. Pike St., Clarksburg, W.Va. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Parish, 124 E. Pike St., Clarksburg. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Mount Clare, W.Va.

A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Fidelis Building Fund, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler, PA, 16001.

Thelma Marie Karel

Thelma Marie Karel, 83, formerly of Pleasant Hills, died at 2 a.m. today at her home in Butler.

Born May 17, 1918, in Cadiz, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late George and Rhoda Baker Edgar.

She had been a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone and also had worked at Sears.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George (Yvonne) Laconi of Butler and Donna Hegley, with whom she made her home; a son, Robert Karel of Butler; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Michael (Either) Salem of Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Donald (Neita) Bateman of Mount Pleasant; and a brother, Merle Edgar of Pittsburgh, also survive.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Slater, who died March 16, 1940; and by her second husband, Frank Karel, who died April 1, 1997. A son, two grandsons, an infant sister and four brothers also preceded her in death.

KAREL - Friends of Thelma Marie Karel, who died Thursday, May 31, 2001, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:15 p.m. Saturday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St. A blessing service will follow at 9:15 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Staszewski, pastor of St. Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be at Lebanon Presbyterian Cemetery , West Mifflin.

Helen M. Hilovsky

Helen M. Hilovsky, 79, of Alterra Clare Bridge of Adams, formerly of Butler died Wednesday evening at St. Francis Medical Center, Cranberry Township.

Born in Lyndora, May 14, 1922, she was the daughter of Jacob and Kathryn Penar.

Mrs. Hilovsky had been the assistant manager of Community Finance Co. for more than 15 years.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church of Meridian and the Christian Mothers of the church. She also had been an Eucharistic minister, a volunteer worker for many church activities and a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Surviving are a son, Rowland “Ron” Hilovsky of Rocky River, Ohio; two brothers, John Penar of Florida and Dr. Theodore Penar of Grove City; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Thomas T. Hilovsky, died March 23, 1975. She also was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

HILOVSKY - Friends of Helen M. Hilovsky, who died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Meridian. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery .
