Alva Eugene Glasgow Age 91 of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday December 15, 2004 at 3:20 p.m. in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 13, 1913 he was the son of the late Alva Hugh Glasgow and Myrtle E. Hughes Glasgow.
Mr., Glasgow was an electrician for local union #5 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church, the Monongahela Lodge # 269 F & A.M., the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite - Valley of Pittsburgh, Syria Temple A. A. O. N. M. S. of Pittsburgh, American Legion Post # 117 Butler, Joseph T. Black Post # 249 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a veteran of the United States Navy as a member of the Sea Bees serving in the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific during World War II.
Mr. Glasgow was marriage to the former Jean Isabelle Brown she preceded him in death on October 15, 1986.
He is survived by one son, Alva Brown Glasgow of Butler, Pennsylvania and one sister, Mrs. Alma Rose Wise of Daytona Beach, Florida, numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife he was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Friends and family of Alva Glasgow will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 on Friday December 17, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be from the funeral home on Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Dr. James E. Swanson of Covenant United Presbyterian Church Officiating. Interment will follow in The Summit Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Janet P. Fisher
December 17, 1910 - December 15, 2004
Janet P. Fisher, age 93 of, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at 10:55 a.m. in Sunnyview Home.
Born December 17, 1910 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late James Streit and the late Emma Sellwood.
Mrs. Fisher was a homemaker and a former office secretary for Armco in Zanesville, Ohio. She was a member of Meridian United Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of Eastern Star in Zanesville, Ohio and had been an avid bowler.
Mrs. Fisher is survived by niece, Mrs. Donna Moore of Richmond, Virginia; nephew, Mr. James Streit of Butler, Pennsylvania, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Fisher who passed away on October 24, 1990, and by a brother.
Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, December 17, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Stephen N. Cahoon of Meridian United Presbyterian Church officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park.
Eleanor McClay
November 25, 1915 - December 14, 2004
Eleanor McClay age 89 of Oakmont, formerly of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at 10:38 p.m. in The Willows of Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont, Pennsylvania.
Born in Butler, Pennsylvania on November 25, 1915 she was the daughter of the late George W. Hindman and Olive E. Wolfe.
She lived in Butler all her life until moving to Oakmont in 2001. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Tanglewood Senior Center and A.A.R.P. She enjoyed music and her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Gail Peyronel of Leechburg, Pennsylvania, a son Michael Rudert and his wife Nella of Sacramento, California, three grand-daughters, Candi Stewart of Leechburg, Pennsylvania, Lisa Yank and her husband Richard of Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania Debra Mercer and her husband Ed of Erie, Pennsylvania and two grandsons, Allan and Brian Rudert of California, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews in the Butler area.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
There will be no public visitation. A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Flora Anthony Kidd

Flora Anthony Kidd, age 94 of 913 Prospect Road, Evans City, PA, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at 7:30 a.m. in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 3, 1910 in Armstrong County she was the daughter of the late William Anthony and the late Carrie Bowser.
Mrs. Kidd was a homemaker. She was a member of Connoquenessing United Methodist Church. She loved to crochet and bake, care for her foster children and she enjoyed camping with family and her foster children.
Mrs. Kidd is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Carrie) Oertel of Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Elmira Zirnsak of Evans City, Pennsylvania, with whom she made her home, Mrs. Paul (Betty) Mager of Connoquenessing, Pennsylvania; two foster daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Peffer of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Mary Ziegler of Renfrew, Pennsylvania; a foster son, Mr. Richard Zentz of Butler, Pennsylvania; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kidd was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Kidd whom she marriage on February 12, 1927 and who passed away on September 4, 1977, by one daughter, one son, two brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.

Services will be held at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Joong Koe, pastor at Connoquenessing United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in West Glade Run Cemetery.
Andrew D. Campbell

Andrew D. Campbell, age 65 of 102 Shanahan Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born November 20, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late L. Dwight Campbell and the late Florence Thompson.
Mr. Campbell was retired from National Underground Storage in Boyers. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church. He was active in his church and a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Mr. Campbell is survived by a sister, Mrs. Virginia Crawford of Monroeville, Pennsylvania; a brother, Robert D. Campbell of Stuart, Florida; and eight nieces and nephews.
Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends will be received at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faithway-Fared Drive, Butler, Pennsylvania 16001 on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m.
Services will be held at the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Richard P. Jenks officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Cheswick, Pennsylvania.

Frances Jane McCaslin, age 82 of Bryson Road, Butler, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 12:30 a.m. in her home after a long illness.
Born June 16, 1922 in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late John Henry Kennedy and the late Hazel Ethel Rugh.
Mrs. McCaslin was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church.
Mrs. McCaslin is survived by husband, Clyde E. McCaslin of Butler, Pennsylvania who she marriage on April 26, 1948; her son, John H. McCaslin of Poland, Ohio; her two daughters, Mrs. Terry R. (Susan) Wingfield of Butler, Pennsylvania and Mrs. Lanny E. (Jean) Dillaman of West Sunbury, Pennsylvania; her six grandchildren and one great grandson; her two brothers, Ray John Kennedy of Portersville, Pennsylvania and Edward James Kennedy of Santa Ysabel, California; her sister, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy Irene) Baker of Dunkirk, New York and by a number of nieces and nephews.
One sister and three brothers preceded Mrs. McCaslin in death.
