Nicole Marie “Nikki” Renaud, 18, of Seven Fields, formerly of St. Louis, Mo., died Monday at her home.
Born July 11, 1984, in Creve Coeur, Mo., she was the daughter of William Joseph “Joe” and Roxanne Elizabeth Jansen Renaud.
She was a member of St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church of Cranberry Township.
Nicole was a 2003 graduate of Seneca Valley High School, where she was a member of the girls lacrosse team.
She is survived by her parents, of Seven Fields; a sister, Christina E. Renaud of Seven Fields; her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Jansen of Clearwater, Fla.; and her paternal grandmother, Margie Renaud of St. Louis, Mo.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
RENAUD - Friends of Nicole Marie “Nikki” Renaud, who died Monday, May 26, 2003, will be received from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. (Everyone is to meet at the church.) Burial will be held Monday at Resurrection Cemetery , St Louis, Mo.

Vernon L. ‘Mack’ McCormick
Vernon L. “Mack” McCormick, 78, of Venice, Fla., and formerly of Sarver died Friday in Florida.
Born June 20, 1924, in Fairview, Erie County, he was a son of Albert and Sylvia Riemer McCormick.
He was a self-employed water well driller for 35 years.
Mr. McCormick was in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving in Kodiac, Alaska, and Whidbey Island, Wash.
He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hazel Ewing McCormick of Florida.
Also surviving is a son, Richard McCormick of Cabot; a daughter, Ina Sadulski of Venice, Fla.; a brother, Alfred “Buss” McCormick of Renfrew; and three grandchildren.
McCORMICK - Friends of Vernon L. “Mack” McCormick, who died Friday, May 23, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Howard Greenfield, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Butler County Memorial Park.

William J. Kessler Sr.
William J. “Pappy” Kessler Sr., 82, of Cranberry Township died Sunda, at St. John Specially Care Center, Mars.
Born in Pittsburgh, July 16, 1920, he was the son of William and Mary Kessler.
He was a Mars area business owner. He was a lifetime member of the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club and co-owner of the 09 Racing Team. In 1955, he was National Sprint Car Champion. He then started stock car racing and remained involved in racing until his death.
Mr. Kessler was a World War II veteran and a member of the Cranberry Township VFW post. He also belonged to the Cranberry Elks Lodge 2249.
He is survived by two sons, William J. Jr. and Hank Kessler; a brother, Regis Kessler; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Kessler, and a son.
KESSLER - Friends of William J. “Pappy” Kessler Sr., who died Sunday, May 25, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at BOCK FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Mount Royal Blvd. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mars Cemetery .
Anthony T. Gornick
Anthony T. Gornick, 84, of Butler died Sunday, May 25, 2003, at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Born Sept. 10, 1918, in Verona, he was the son of Joseph and Mary Clokochonick Gornick.
He was a retired self-employed carpenter and building contractor.
During World War II, he was a merchant seaman in the Coast Guard-Merchant Marine services, and while in the Atlantic and Mediterranean war zones, he was wounded in action.
He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, hiking and nature.
Mr. Gornick was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Antoinette “Nettie” Boscarino Gornick, whom he married Nov. 13, 1945; a son, John J. Gornick of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Rita) McNany of Butler; and four grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, Steve Gornick of Erie; four sisters, Mrs. Charles (Agnes) Hildebrand of Chicora, Mrs. Edmund (Anne) Nannery of San Francisco, Calif., Marge Belitskus of Pittsburgh and Frances Sienicki of Coraopolis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, a sister and a brother.
There will be no visitation. Private funeral services will be held at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME for his family. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Vera Fay Gallagher
Vera Fay Gallagher, 100, of Harmony died Monday at Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.
Born Sept. 17, 1902, in Lancaster Township, she was the daughter of David and Clara Uhl Clayton.
Mrs. Gallagher was a member of Grace Church of Harmony and the Ladies Auxiliary of Harmony Volunteer Fire Department.
She is survived by three sons, Claire R. and Ray E. Gallagher, both of Harmony and John C. Gallagher of Fombell; a brother, Wayne Dindinger of Portersville; and two sisters, Grace Minehart of Callery and Helen Wolfe of Zelienople. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Her husband Carl Gallagher and a daughter preceded her in death.
GALLAGHER - Friends of Vera Fay Gallagher, who died Monday, May 26, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with her pastor, the Rev. Peter Everett, officiating. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery , Middle Lancaster.

Esther J. Pfaff Feicht
Esther June Pfaff Feicht, 92, formerly of Bruin and Parker, died of natural causes Sunday, May 25, 2003, at Sugar Creek Rest, Worthington.
Born in Kaylor, June 14, 1910, she was the daughter of H.W. and Bertha Pfaff.
She was a member of Robinson Memorial Chapel, United Methodist, near Parker.
Her husband, Albert C. “Moxie” Feicht, whom she married in Clarion, died April 5, 1981.
Surviving are a grandson, Eric J. Feicht of Bruin; a granddaughter, Ricki L. Ramsey of Chicora; two great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A son, two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family. Burial was held today at Parker Presbyterian Cemetery .

Audrey Simon
Audrey Simon, 88, of Butler died at 10 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2003, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 18, 1915, in Gallipolis, Ohio, she was the daughter of Harvey Vernon and Sarah Jane Douthett Simon.
She had been a secretary at Republic Steel, now LTV, in Ohio.
Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Melvin (Joy) Collins of Butler; a brother, William Simon of Spring Hill, Fla.; a longtime friend, Angie Vogt of Canton, Ohio; and a number of other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
There was no visitation and private burial was at Forest Hill Cemetery , Canton, Ohio.
Stanley F. Gratkowski
Stanley F. Gratkowski, 48, of Butler died Wednesday afternoon at the Allegheny University Hospitals, Allegheny General in Pittsburgh following an extended illness.
He was born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 14, 1954, a son of the late Stanley and Mary DeRose Gratkowski.
He was a graduate of a baking training program and until his illness, had worked as a bakery supervisor at Continental Bakery Co. in Pittsburgh, and he had formerly worked at the Barkus Bakery.
He was a member of the Sarver Brethren Church.
Surviving are his wife, Louise Pritts Gratkowski, whom he married on May 16, 1998.
Also surviving are his son, Aaron Gratkowski of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Nicole) Houser of Cheswick; one step-son, Michael Stiffy Jr. of Butler; two step-daughters, Mrs. Eric (Jennifer) Coffield of Tarentum and Michele Stiffy of Butler; and nine grandchildren.
GRATKOWSKI - Friends of Stanley F. Gratkowski, who died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, will be received at the GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler from 7 to 9 today and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Clair Knappenberger, pastor of the Sarver Brethren Church, will officiate.
John J. Antoszyk
John J. Antoszyk, 73, of Cabot died at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday at his home.
Born in Hutchinson, Sept. 25, 1929, he was the son of Martin and Catherine Kuseryk Antoszyk.
He retired in 1985 as assistant superintendent of the hot mill at Allegheny Ludlum Steel, Brackenridge, after 38 years, and he was vice president of operations at Armstrong Cement from 1985 to 1992.
Mr. Antoszyk was a member of St. John Byzantine Greek Orthodox Church in Lyndora and the Greek Catholic Union Lodge. He was a 40-year member of the Alle-Kiski Barbershop Chorus, a member of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company and the Saxonburg Water Authority. He was a former Jefferson Township supervisor.
He served with the Army in the Korean War.
He enjoyed building birdhouses and lighthouses, golfing, singing and work.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Hines Antoszyk, whom he married July 12, 1952; five sons and their spouses, Gary and Carol Antoszyk of Monroeville, Mark and Sharon Antoszyk of Concord, N.C., Brian and Karen Antoszyk of Saxonburg, John and Kim Antoszyk of Ramona, Kan., and AFS son, Roland and Shelly Lorenzano of Silver Spring, Md.; a daughter and her husband, Joanne and Mark Colpo of Sarver; 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and their spouses, Pete and Janet Antoszyk of Saxonburg and Walter and Evelyn Antoszyk of Butler; and four sisters and their spouses, Rose and Frank Scheetz of Groton, Conn., Mary and John Lucovich of Sarver, Anna and John Kravits of Natrona Heights and Pauline and John Matteo of New Castle, also survive.
Three brothers, Andrew, Charles and Mike Antoszyk, and a sister, Florence McClosky, preceded him in death.

A funeral of Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Byzantine Greek Catholic Church, Lyndora, with the Rev. Dennis Bogda, officiating. Burial will be at Freeport Cemetery .
Parastas services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Richard N. Anderson
Richard N. Anderson, 63, of Evans City died Wednesday at his home.
Born April 21, 1940, in Prospect, he was the son of Raymond and Lillian Springer Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the Local 66 Operators Union of Monroeville. He retired from Sam Smith, Inc. of Evans City in January. He enjoyed gardening and lawn mowing.
He survived by his wife, Vella Hinkle Anderson, whom he married April 16, 1960.
Also surviving are his four sons, Dennis R. Anderson of Evans City, Ernest E. Anderson of Georgia, Randolph W. Anderson of Connoquenessing and William P. Anderson of West Sunbury; three brothers, Carlyle Anderson of Berea, Ohio, David Anderson of North Caroline and Gale Anderson of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. James (Irma) Boot and Mrs. Graham (Charlotte) Overly, both of Irwin; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
