Raymond K. “Little Joe” Smith, 86, of Zelienople died Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 17, 1916, in Meridian, he was the son of L. Leroy and Alice Charlier Smith.
Mr. Smith was a member of the Park United Presbyterian Church in Zelienople and the Cranberry Senior Center.
Survivors included sisters, Alice Liguori of Olean, N.Y., and Mrs. Betty Andrews of Beaver; eight nieces; two nephews; a grandnephew; and three grandnieces. A nephew, Dennis Martin, preceded him in death.
SMITH - A memorial service for Raymond K. “Little Joe” Smith, who died Saturday, May 17, 2003, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Park United Presbyterian Church, Zelienople. The Rev. Thomas Clyde will officiate. Private burial was at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.

Calvin C. Smith Jr.
Calvin C. “Smitty, Babe” Smith Jr., 67, of Hampton Township, formerly of Millvale, died Wednesday.
He was a Marine Corps veteran.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Sandy Smith; three daughters, Carrie Green, Sandra Lee Smith and Cynthia Steedle; five sons, Thomas, Michael, Jeffrey, Timothy and Brian Smith; and 16 grandchildren.
SMITH - Friends of Calvin C. “Smitty, Babe” Smith Jr., who died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at HEALY-HAHN FUNERAL HOME, 425 Grant Ave., Millvale. Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Millvale.
John L. McMillen
John L. McMillen, 78, of Zelienople died Thursday at Passavant Retirement & Health Center, Zelienople.
Born Feb. 15, 1925, in Evans City, he was the son of Arthur K. and Ethel Dambaugh McMillen.
He was a member of the Calvin Presbyterian Church of Zelienople, Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM and Evans City American Legion Post 219.
Mr. McMillen was an engineer and worked on development of the U.S. space program. He was an avid golfer.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine E McMillen, whom he married June 12, 1947; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Lezlie K.) Jonas of Long Island, N.Y.; a brother, Earl H. McMillen of Evans City; and two grandchildren.
Five brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
McMILLEN - Friends of John L. McMillen, who died Thursday, May 22, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with his pastor the Rev. Dr. N. Graham Standish, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Evans City Cemetery .

William B. Luchkiw Sr.
William B. Luchkiw Sr., 50, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Lyndora, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003.
Born Sept. 25, 1952, in Butler, he is the son of William and Patricia Rodgers Luchkiw.
A graduate of Butler High School, he was a maintenance supervisor for MTS Packaging Systems, Clearwater, Fla.
Surviving are his wife, Laurie Sacchetti Luchkiw; four sons, William B. Luchkiw Jr. of Butler, Daniel Luchkiw of Aurora, Colo., Troy Luchkiw of Pennsylvania and Joel Luchkiw of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three daughters, Tara Luchkiw of Pennsylvania and Jenna and Jessica Luchkiw, both of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
He also is survived by his parents of Lyndora; two brothers, Larry Luchkiw of Butler and Thomas Luchkiw of Reading; and two sisters, Mrs. Matthew (Marci) Petrie of Manassas, Va., and Marianne Luchkiw of Polson, Mont.

June C. Glaister
June C. Glaister, 68, a 43-year resident of Fawn Township, Allegheny County, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a three-week illness.
Born June 20, 1934, in Mars, she was the daughter of James C. and Mary Purvis Davidson.
A 1952 graduate of Tarentum High School, she was the secretary of the Center United Methodist Church in Fawn Township, where she was a member. She also belonged to the United Methodist Women and the Natrona Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She enjoyed music, camping and crocheting.
Surviving are three sons, Tyrone Glaister of Freeport, William C. Glaister of Tarentum and Paul E. Glaister of Fawn Township; two daughters, Mary Dugan of Tarentum and Roberta Kessler of Fawn Township; and eight grandchildren. A brother, William Davidson of Natrona Heights; and three sisters, Sally Christy, Gloria Wiles and Linda Daum, all of Frazer Township, also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Glaister, who died Feb. 9, 2002; and a great-granddaughter.

Henry R. ‘Hank’ Dickey
Henry R. “Hank” Dickey, 66, of Perry Township, Ohio, died Wednesday afternoon at Lake East Hospital in Painesville, Ohio.
Born Nov. 24, 1936, in Millvale, he was the son of Henry and Mary Redlick Dickey.
He was a 1958 graduate of Grove City College and served in the Army from 1958 to 1960.
Mr. Dickey retired as plant engineer for Tomen Agro Chemical in Perry.
He attended Perry United Methodist Church and was a member of the North Coast Steelheaders. He was an Eagle Scout and a former scoutmaster of Troop 71 in Perry.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Ifft Dickey; a daughter, Karen Dickey Hofer and her husband, Thomas Hofer of Strongsville and their children, Ryan and Jared; a son and his wife, Keith and Coleen Dickey and their children, Alex and Sarah of Strongsville.
DICKEY - Friends of Henry R. “Hank” Dickey, who died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at EDWARD L. RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME, 387 Main St., Prospect. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffery Curtis, pastor of Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.

Rev. William G. Steiner
The Rev. William G. “Bill” Steiner, 74, of Evans, Ga., formerly of Prospect, died Thursday morning at St. Joseph Hospice.
A native of Hempfield Township, he had lived in the Augusta, Ga., area since moving from Western Pennsylvania in 1996.
The Rev. Steiner had been a Lutheran minister for over 40 years in Pennsylvania.
He graduated with a degree in English from Thiel College in 1950 and graduated with a master’s degree in divinity from Philadelphia Lutheran Seminary.
He was ordained on May 27, 1953, and served as the pastor of St. Peter’s Evangelical Church in Northeast, Erie County, for 16 years.
The Rev. Steiner then continued his ministry at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prospect for 20 years, serving as program director at Camp Lutherlyn and various church associated boards and committees.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Joyce Steiner of Evans; two daughters, Signe A. Erne and her husband Dr. Jerel (Jim) Erne of Evans, and Leah Abbey of Richmond, Va.; two sons, Mark Steiner and his wife, Melissa, of Lanham, Md., and the Rev. Roger Steiner and his wife, Gwen, of Turtle Creek; and a sister, Becky Olson Murphy of Jeannette.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Alona Abbey, David Abbey and his wife, Bridget, Jonathan, Michelle and Kirsten Steiner and Blaine Shanstrom; three great-grandchildren, Dani, David and Keith Abbey; and a fraternal son, Howard Erne of Evans.
STEINER - A memorial celebration for the Rev. William G. “Bill” Steiner, who died Thursday, May 22, 2003, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prospect with Bishop Donald McCoid, bishop of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. Interment
will be in Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery .

Lillian R. Sheesman
Lillian R. Sheesman, 83, of Chicora died at 5:50 a.m. Saturday at Chicora Medical Center following an illness.
Born March 30, 1920, in Chicora, she was the daughter of Joseph and Eugenia Responts Parisi.
She was a member of Mater Delorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora, the Altar-Rosary Society at the church and the Chicora Senior Center.
Surviving is her husband of 50 years, Frank Sheesman of Chicora.
Also surviving are a son, Steven Sheesman of Chicora; a daughter, Mrs. William (Debora) Hoke of Butler; three sisters, Inez Madden and Twyla Baccanti, both of Chicora, and Mrs. George (Thelma) Reeder of Slippery Rock; a brother, Larry Parisi of Butler; four granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A brother and an infant sister preceded her in death.
SHEESMAN - There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial for Lillian R. Sheesman, who died Saturday, May 24, 2003, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mater Delorosa Roman Catholic Church, 409 N. Main St., Chicora, with the Rev. David D. DeWitt, church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hemphill Cemetery , Chicora.

James L. Sellers
James L. Sellers, 79, of Smethport, died Friday at the Sena Kean Manor in Smethport.
Born March 5, 1924, in Eau Claire, he was the son of Russell and Lyda Layton Sellers.
He served in the Army from 1948 to 1951, serving in the Korean War.
Mr. Sellers had worked as a salesman for Quaker State, retiring in 1985 after 38 years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Smethport, Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 552 of Emlenton, Lodge of Perfection in Oil City, American Legion Bucktail Post 138 in Smethport and Council Chapter of Consistory of New Castle.
He was a life member of the Smethport Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, A. Jean Cupples Sellers, whom he married on May 6, 1949 in Petrolia; two daughters, Karen Sellers of Smethport and Deborah Dragoone and her husband Jerome of Smethport; a son, James L. Sellers Jr. of Smethport; three sisters, Gladys Sontheimer of Butler, Bette Ross of New Castle and Helen Blauser of Parker; and a brother, Ronald Sellers of Belmont, N.Y.
Also surviving are two grandsons, Lance Cpl. Jerome Dragoone Jr., serving with the Marines in Kuwait, and Jonathan Dragoone of Smethport; and a granddaughter, Brittany Dragoone of Smethport.
His parents, an infant son and his brother, William Sellers, preceded him in death.
SELLERS - Friends of James L. Sellers, who died Friday, May 23, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at GARY K. DRUM FUNERAL HOME, 2 Bank St., Smethport. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Smethport, where military honors will be accorded by American Legion Bucktail Post 138 of Smethport.

Gertrude H. Dambaugh
Gertrude H. “Gertie” Dambaugh, 86, of Zelienople died Thursday at Creek Meadows Personal Assisted Living, Franklin Township, Beaver County.
Born Sept. 2, 1916, in Pitcairn, she was the daughter of Harold W. and Fannie Hollis Henry.
Mrs. Dambaugh was a member of St. Peter’s Reformed Church of Zelienople, where she belonged to the Fidelity Sunday School Class and the Women’s Fellowship and taught Sunday school for years. She also was a member of the Zelienople American Legion Post 474 Ladies Auxiliary and the Zelienople Historical Society.
She retired from Billco Manufacturing as an executive secretary. She was an avid card player and enjoyed to read.
Surviving are a daughter, Jean E. Bauman of Cranberry Township; a son-in-law, James L. Bauman; a grandson, Bob Bauman of Cranberry Township; and a brother, Herbert Henry of North Huntingdon. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Roy Dambaugh, who died Oct. 25, 2002.
DAMBAUGH - Friends of Gertrude H. “Gertie” Dambaugh, who died Thursday, May 22, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E.
