Harriet E. (Datt) McKinnis, 102 formerly of Partell Street, Butler, died Monday, April 5, 2004 at 2:30 a.m. in Sunnyview Home.
Born May 29, 1901 in Richland Township, Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Charles T. Datt and Kathryn Fisher.
Mrs. McKinnis was a homemaker. She was a member of Community Alliance Church. She was very active in her church and had been a former Sunday school teacher and treasurer.
Mrs. McKinnis is survived by one step-son, William C. McKinnis of Butler, Pennsylvania, one step-daughter, Mrs. Harold (Harriet) Caldwell of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McKinnis was preceded in death by her husband Walter H. McKinnis, who passed away on February 15, 1971 and by two sisters, three brothers, two stepdaughters, two stepsons and a niece.
Friends will be received at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA, on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Clarence Croscutt of Washington C & MA officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
Stephen J. Kudika
February 11, 1927 - April 4, 2004
Stephen J. Kudika, 77 of Oak Drive, Saxonburg, died Wednesday, April 4, 2004 at 4:00 a.m. at his residence.
Born February 11, 1927 in Butler, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Stephen Kudika and Louise Chlebina.
Mr. Kudika was a salesman for Oberg Manufacturing Company retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Butler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army-Air Corps serving in WW II. He was a member of the #769 William H. Miller Lodge F and A.M., member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle, member of the Syria Temple of Pittsburgh and the American Society of Tool Manufacturing Engineers.
Mr. Kudika was survived by his wife, Barbara Jane Vittu Kudika, whom he marriage on July 22, 1948, by three sons, Stephen David Kudika of Canton, Ohio, Samuel Jay Kudika of Clearwater, Florida, Scott Christopher Kudika of Northcross, Georgia, Four Grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kudika was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Friends will be received at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 218 East Jefferson Street, Butler, PA, on Saturday, April 10, 2004 from 11:30 to 12 noon.
Services will be held at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 12 noon with the Reverend Bruce Geary officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Episcopal Church Memorial Garden.

Bernice Elnora Hogan, 80 of Wilson Avenue, Butler, died Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 9:45 p.m. at her daughter's residence.
Born July 14, 1923 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of William Lamont Mohney and Grace Garnet (France) Mohney.
Mrs. Hogan was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She graduated from Kittanning High School, class of 1941. Mrs. Hogan was a charter member, past Royal Matron and past Royal Patron of the Order of Amaranth Butler Chapter 145. She was also a member of White Shrine of Jerusalem #32, former member of Maqueda chapter #421 Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Hogan is survived by her husband William Myron Hogan, whom she marriage on March 14, 1942, by her son and his wife, Dennis and Valerie Hogan of Butler, Pennsylvania, her daughter and her husband, M. Diane and James Paraska of Butler, Pennsylvania, daughter, Lisa E. McCarren of Butler, Pennsylvania, one brother, William D. Mohney, four sisters, Florence Daugherty of Alliquippa, Pennsylvania, Wilma Schwartz of Cowansville, Pennsylvania, Gayle Groft of Butler, Pennsylvania, Patricia McKinney of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, thirteen Grandchildren; Keith A. Hogan, Christine M. (Hogan) Glaser, Brian W. Hogan, Michael W. Paraska, Sarah G. (Paraska) Vorel, Samuel J. Paraska, Kathleen O. Paraska, Tobin P. McCarren, Charles H. McCarren, Millicent C. McCarren, Elizabeth A. McCarren, Michael S. McCarren, and William F. McCarren, five Great Grandchildren; Sarah M. Hogan, Keith D. Hogan, Kylie A. Hogan, Lauren E. Glaser, and James H. Glaser, ten nieces and two nephews.
Mrs. Hogan was preceded in death by one sister, Delores Clever of Kittanning, Pennsylvania.

Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Thursday, April 8, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend J. David Panther officiating. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

Evelyn M. LeFever, 79 of Cedartown, Georgia died Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 2:50 a.m. in Butler Memorial Hospital. Mrs. LeFever was living with her daughter Patricia Cooper during her illness.
Born April 29, 1924 in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Bijah Hall and Claudia Hall.
Mrs. LeFever was a homemaker. She was a member of Assembly of God Church in Cedartown, Georgia.
Mrs. LeFever is survived by her husband Joseph J. LeFever, whom she marriage August 17, 1962, by four daughters, Patricia Cooper of Butler, Pennsylvania, Jill Crawford of Cabot, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Reginald (Kandy) Kriebel of Karns City, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Mark (Levonne) Leuenberger of Roswell, Georgia, Eleven Grandchildren, Fourteen Great-Grandchildren, two brothers, Robert Hall, and Albert Hall both of Tarentum, Pennsylvania, one sister, Mrs. Claudia Harvey of Sarver, Pennsylvania, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. LeFever was preceded in death by her two brothers.

Fern E. Minehart
October 23, 1917 - April 1, 2004
Fern E. (Worsk) Minehart, born in Hilliards, Pennsylvania on October 23, 1917 went home to be with her Lord on April 1, 2004 at the age of 86.
Preceeded by her husband, John, who died April 14, 1981, her parents Letitia Stillwagon and George Worsk, three sisters and two brothers.
A devoted mother, Fern is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Robert B. (Kathleen) Walker, Mrs. William R. (Dorothy) Heidenreich both of Butler, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Howard L. (Brenda) Jaillet of Easley, South Carolina, Mrs. Tish Burris of Louisville, Kentucky, and Mrs. Blaine H. (Nancy) Claypoole of Petrolia, Pennsylvania, thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews including Mrs. Richard (Lois) Larry who was like a daughter to her.
Fern's love for the Lord was shown in her daily life. Though confined to home she was an active prayer warrior and a member of Christ's Outreach Church. She enjoyed reading, walking, and had a genuine love for people. She worked for Lowals and Troutman Department Stores, did laundry in her home, worked in the food department of Butler Senior High School and Butler Memorial Hospital and served as president of TOPS club and Golden Agers Club of the Y.W.C.A.

Ursula Sadlak, 74 of Prospect Road, Evans City, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 1:50 a.m. in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born December 8, 1929 in Lyndora, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Edward Zotter and Sophia Rottman.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Kingdom Hall, Butler Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Sadlak is survived by one brother, Anton J. Zotter of Meridian, Pennsylvania, and one sister, Mrs. Christine Coller of Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Sadlak is preceded in death by her husband James William Sadlak, who passed away on February 22, 1993 and by one brother and two sisters.
A memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness, 157 Unionville Road, Butler, on April 10, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Elder Daniel J. Harrington Officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania.

October 6, 1959 - March 28, 2004
H. Jay O'Donnell, age 44 of Ritter Street, Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2004 at 1:07 p.m. in the emergency room of the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Mr. O'Donnell was born in Butler County on October 6, 1959; he was the son of Sara E. Morrow O'Donnell and the late Harry O. O'Donnell.
Mr. O'Donnell was member of North Street Christian Church. He served as a deacon at his church, a Sunday school teacher, and also led men's bible studies. He was a true servant of the Lord. Mr. O'Donnell was employed as a driver for the United Parcel Service for the past fourteen years.
Mr. O'Donnell is survived by his wife: Sherry L Twerdok O'Donnell whom he marriage April 8, 1993, by two daughters; Ariana O'Donnell and Charity O'Donnell both living at home, his mother, Mrs. Sara E. Morrow O'Donnell of Butler, Pennsylvania, two brothers; Gary O'Donnell of Fenelton, Pennsylvania and James O'Donnell of Butler, Pennsylvania, one sister, Mrs. Dennis (Mariann) Muir of Butler, Pennsylvania, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends and family of H. Jay O'Donnell will be received on Saturday April 3, 2004 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the North Street Christian Church, 220 West North Street, Butler, Pennsylvania. Memorial Services will follow at 11:00 A.M. from the church, with the Reverend Robert C. Huber and Reverend Jeff Miller, pastors of North Street Christian Church Officiating.
