Presley Dean McCamey, 79, of Portersville died Sunday at his home after an illness.
Born Oct. 17, 1923, in Wesley, Venango County, he was the son of Rollo Arthur and Margaret Elizabeth Farnsworth McCamey.
At one time, he had worked at R.D. Warner’s in Greenville and at 422 Auto Sales in Portersville.
He was a Protestant and a World War II Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Piper McCamey; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Deana) Rager of Portersville and Elizabeth Caslander of Florida; three sons, Randall Dean McCamey of Princeton, Larry Joe McCamey of Leesburg and Kenneth Perry Piper of Portersville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Clyde (Junita) Anderson of Grove City and Mrs. Donald (Ruthie) Hollar of Mercer; and two stepsons, David Bell of New Castle and Howard “Woody” Bell of Grove City. He also is survived by 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Four brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
McCAMEY - Friends of Presley Dean McCamey, who died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at JAY BRYAN FUNERAL HOME, 443 Main St., Prospect. Funeral services will follow at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Caslander of Grace Bible Church of Harmony officiating.
Dorothy Jean Hempfling
Dorothy Jean “Peanuts” Hempfling, 71, of 108 Timberbrook Drive in Prospect died Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 15, 1931, in Wheeling, W.Va., she was a daughter of Clarence Wolfe and the late Helen Hutchinson Wolfe.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Prospect.
Her husband, Paul Robert Hempfling, whom she married Feb. 18, 1948, died Dec. 25, 1981.
Surviving are three sons, Richard A. Hempfling of Butler, Edward F. Hempfling of Portersville and Rob A. Hempfling of Slippery Rock; three daughters, Paula Bauer and Mrs. Wayne (Becky) Harris, both of Chicora, and Mrs. Calvin (Darlene) McClymonds of Portersville; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She also is survived by her father of Butler; a brother, Clarence “Butch” Bowser of Mercer; two sisters, Mrs. John (Shirley) “Joan” Maire and Mrs. Thomas (Alice) “Becky” Stotish, both of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
HEMPFLING - Friends of Dorothy Jean “Peanuts” Hempfling, who died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Prospect. The Rev. Matthew Tosello will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery .
Members of St. Christopher at the Lake Church will recite the rosary at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Crystal Marie Bach
Crystal Marie Bach, 16, of Tiffin, Ohio, and formerly of Cranberry Township died Saturday at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, as the result of injuries in an auto accident.
Born Feb. 9, 1986, in Portsmouth, Va., she was the daughter of Jeffrey and Victoria Mehelic Bach of Cranberry Township.
She was a former member of the St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church in Cranberry Township.
Crystal was a junior at Hopewell-Louden High School in Tiffin and worked as a hostess at Bob Evans Restaurant in Tiffin.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her foster parents, Kevin and Kelly King of Tiffin; a brother, Matthew Bach of Cranberry Township; two foster sisters, Kyrsten King and Kaylee King, both of Tiffin; a paternal grandfather, Richard Bach of Cranberry Township; and a maternal grandfather, Matthew Mehelic of North Hills.
BACH - Friends of Crystal Marie Bach, who died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church in Cranberry Township.
Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Middle Lancaster Township.

Earl H. Myers
Earl H. Myers, 75, of Evans City died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at his home.
Born June 2, 1927, in Marshall Township, Allegheny County, he was the son of Hilbert and Anna Rein Myers.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Evans City.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret Myers; two sons, E. David Myers of Zelienople and Kenneth Myers of Harmony; four daughters, Carol Morgan of West Deer, Susan Nelson of Zelienople; Shirley Antoszyk of Butler and Mary Ann Myers of Zelienople; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A brother, Herman D. Myers of Harmony; and a sister, Hilda Kristophel of Zelienople also survive.
There was no public visitation, and private services and burial were at Pinewood Memorial Park, Cranberry Township.
Memorial donations may be made to the Evans City Police Department, Canine Unit, Attn: Officer Don Myers.

Michael S. Mahnick
Michael S. Mahnick, 62, of Buffalo Township, formerly of Bairdford, died at 2:35 p.m. Monday in Bairdford.
Born June 29, 1940, in Bairdford, West Deer Township, Allegheny County, he was the son of Michael and Theresa Phillips Mahnick.
He was a 1958 graduate of West Deer High School and a heavy equipment operator at Rick Rosco Construction.
Mr. Mahnick enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and watching football.
He is survived by a sister, Nancy T. Mahnick, of Cherry Hill, N.J. A sister preceded him in death.

Harriet Grabbe
Harriet Grabbe, 86, formerly of East Jefferson Street, died at 6:22 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at Sunnyview Nursing Home.
Born in Bluefield, W.Va., Dec. 3, 1915, she was the daughter of James and Nancy McKinney Fowler.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Golden Agers of the church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Eleanor) Kingan and Mrs. Paul (Ellen Ilean) Herrit, both of Butler; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Grabbe, who died June 27, 1978; an infant son; four brothers; and two sisters.
Private visitation and services were today at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME. The Rev. Richard Leseganich, her church pastor, officiated. Burial was at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.

Richard Anthony Fry Sr.
Richard Anthony Fry Sr., 75, of Sarver died at 9:27 p.m. Monday at his home.
Born Feb. 25, 1927, in Butler, he was the son of Charles and Agnes Kaib Fry.
He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Cabot and the Holy Name Society.
Mr. Fry was the first superintendent of Alameda Park and designed the original play equipment at Alameda for use by handicapped and non-handicapped children so they would be able to play together. He worked for county parks for 27 years and served on the Butler County Park Board all of those years.
He also was a forest fire warden and initiated the Glacier Ridge Trail, which is now part of the North Country Trail.
He was World War II Army veteran, a life member of VFW 249 and a member of American Legion Post 117. He obtained the Third degree of the Knights of Columbus and was a member of Butler Little Theatre and the Musical Theater group.
Surviving are his wife, Frances J. “Fritz” Hanchosky Fry, whom he married June 30, 1949; two daughters, Mrs. David (Marianne) Hill of Sarver and Mrs. Randy (Amy) Birckbichler of Butler; two sons, Richard A. Jr. and Carl J. Fry, both of Butler; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Norman (Mary Ann) Terrick of Pittsburgh; and two brothers, Leland H. Fry of Butler and Walter Fry of Tennessee also survive.
Three brothers preceded him in death.
FRY - A memorial Mass for Richard Anthony Fry Sr., who died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot. The Rev. Michael Greb will officiate.

Norma Ann Reid
Norma Ann Reid, 74, of Far Rockaway, N.Y., formerly of Zelienople, died Oct. 12, 2002, in Far Rockaway.
Born July 31, 1928, in Forest Hills, Pa., she was the daughter of George Washington Reid and Ann Zeig Reid.
She is survived by two sons, Bart and Kernie Mazeika, both of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Marjorie Thompson of Ellwood City, Barbara Bartholdt of Beaver Falls and Nancy Babbitt of Orlando, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
A daughter, a sister and a brother preceded her in death.
REID - A graveside committal service for Norma Ann Reid, who died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zelienople Community Cemetery . Arrangements are being handled by BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, Zelienople.
June L. Peters
June L. Peters, 92, of Glenford Village, Chicora, formerly of Seybertown Road in Bradys Bend, died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born June 8, 1910, in Crisswell, Pa., she was the daughter of Clifford M. and Rachel Kamerer Sipes.
She had worked with her husband at the Seybertown Gas Co. and was a Avon representative in the East Brady/Bradys Bend area for 10 years. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Mrs. Peters was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of East Brady and was a co-founder with her husband of the Bradys Bend Historical Society.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Burnett of Masury, Ohio, Mrs. William (Carolyn) Mogle of Natrona Heights and Mrs. Wendelin (Marian) Neff of Chicora; two sons, Robert H. Peters of Sharpsville and Allen L. Peters of Rimersburg; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Robert H. Peters, whom she married Dec 17, 1930, died Oct. 28, 1983. She also was preceded in death by a granddaughter, four brothers and two sisters.

Geneva ‘Jean’ Miller
Geneva Minerva “Jean” Miller, 76, of Parker R.D. 2 died at 3:41 p.m. Wednesday at UPMC-Northwest in Franklin after an illness.
Born in Cadogan, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of John C. and Margaret Baker Myers.
She was a homemaker and a Protestant and had worked at W.A. Moyer and Sons Level Works in Parker for nine years.
Surviving are her husband: Frank W. Miller Sr., whom she married Feb. 3, 1951; four sons: William Dennis, Frank W. Jr., Jeffrey and Kevin E. Miller, all of Parker, R.D. 2; and a stepdaughter, Nancy Brooks of Loveland, Colo. Ten grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
An infant daughter, a sister and a half-sister preceded her in death.
