Leonard P. Vogel, 79, of 113 Garden Grove Drive died Friday at Sunnyview Home after a long illness.
Born Jan. 8, 1923, in Butler, he was the son of Henry P. and Gladys Harbison Vogel.
He had been a machinist for Armco in Butler, retiring in 1985 after 40 years.
He served in the Army Air Force, Squadron F 1377, during World War II.
Mr. Vogel was a charter and lifetime member of the South Butler Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Summit Township Sportsman Club.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed oil painting and working with stained glass.
He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Gomory Vogel.
Also surviving are a son, Leonard H. Vogel of Butler; three daughters, Linda and Janice Vogel, both of Butler, and Mrs. William (Jean) Schmal of Absecon, N.J.; two brothers, Raymond Vogel of Valencia and Robert Vogel of St. Clairsville, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Miller of Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. James (Rosamond) Curry of Butler; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Floyd H. Reese
Floyd H. Reese, 89, of Emlenton, formerly of Eau Claire, died at 9 p.m. Thursday at Beverly Healthcare in Shippenville after a short illness.
Born March 25, 1912, in Victory Township, Venango County, he was the son of George Washington and Ida Pepper Reese.
He had worked for Hunter’s Dairy Farm near Eau Claire for more than 25 years.
He attended the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Chicora.
He is survived by two sons, John E. Reese of Jamestown, N.Y., and Richard L. Reese of Knox; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Melvina Miller, whom he married April 22, 1935, and who died Dec. 18, 1998.
Also preceding him in death were a daughter, two sons and a brother.
REESE - Friends of Floyd H. Reese, who died Thursday Feb. 7, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at CHRISTOPHER M. HILE FUNERAL HOME in Emlenton. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Robert Eva, minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall of Chicora, officiating. Interment
will follow at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in the village of Pearl, Victory Township, Venango County.
Harold R. Murin
Harold R. Murin, 76, of Butler died Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 11, 1925, in Arnold, he was the son of John and Nellie Gaberish Murin.
He had worked as a machinist for Pittsburgh Plate Glass in Creighton, retiring in 1976 after 30 years.
He served with the Naval Air Corps during World War II.
Mr. Murin was a member of the Lower Burrell American Legion, and he enjoyed being a woodsman.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Conrad Murin, whom he married Jan. 1, 1948; three sons, Gene R. Murin of Newark, Del., Dale R. Murin of Butler, and Kelly M. Murin of Elkton, Md.; two brothers, Francis Murin of New Kensington and Walter Murin of Greensburg; four sisters, Lillian of Arizona, Mrs. Evelyn Minarck and Mrs. Rose Marie Frederick, both of Natrona Heights, and Mrs. Augusta Palumbo of Lower Burrell; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
MURIN - Friends of Harold R. Murin, who died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, Saxonburg. A Blessing Service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Greb, pastor of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, officiating.

Vendel P. Kudamik Jr., 89, of Evans City died Friday at Evergreen Nursing Center in Harmony.

Edwin M. Klink
Edwin M. Klink, 77, of Germaine Road, died Thursday at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center.
Born in West Sunbury, May 18, 1924, he was the son of John R. and Anna Mary Young Klink.
He had received a degree in economics from Mount St. Mary College in Emmetsburg, Md. He had attended classes at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
In 1984, Mr. Klink retired as a division chief for the Army Material Command in Alexandria, Va. He had worked as a civil service contract negotiator for the Army and had received numerous awards for excellence during his 30 years of federal government service.
He served in the Army in World War II and the Pennsylvania National Guard during the Korean War.
He moved from Butler to Middletown in 1960 to work for the Air Force. He later lived in the Washington D.C. area, where he worked for the Navy and the Federal Aviation Administration.
He returned to Butler in 1989.
Mr. Klink was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
He was a stamp collector, a hunter and fisherman and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline Bowlus Klink, whom he married Nov. 14, 1951.
Also surviving are a son, Matthew R. Klink of Dumfries, Va.; three sisters, Irene Dickey of Youngstown, Ohio, Patricia Miller of Sunbury and Mrs. Edward (Virginia) Johnson of Butler; and a granddaughter, Nicole Klink.
He was preceded in death by an infant son and a brother.

Gerald A. Huntington
Gerald A. “Fred” Huntington, 63, of Grove City died at 9:05 a.m. Friday at his home after a long illness.
Born June 30, 1938, in Kittanning, he was the son of Floyd T. and Mary E. Brandon Huntington.
He had been a maintenance supervisor for Haeger Pottery in Dundee, Ill., retiring after 17 years.
He was a member and deacon of the Hampshire Baptist Church in Hampshire, Ill.
Mr. Huntington was a member of the Lions Club, Loyal Order of the Moose, and the Elks Club in Dundee. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed deer hunting, archery and darts.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Bradshaw Huntington, whom he married Dec. 3, 1999, his mother, Mary Weidenhofer of Bonita Springs, Fla.; three daughters, Linda Huntington of Grove City, Theresa Pease of Harvard, Ill., and Patricia Ann Arnold of Crystal Lake, Ill.; and five sons, Aaron King and Nicholas Edis, both of Grove City, Gerald A. Huntington of Sandy Lake, Dean Huntington of Carol Streams, Ill., and Rex A. Huntington of Harvard, Ill.
Also surviving are two sisters, Beverly A. Aspinal of Uniontown and Margaret Jane Anderson of Huntley, Ill.; three brothers, Ronald L. Huntington of Gonzales, Texas, Floyd James Huntington of Oakwood, Ga., and David N. Huntington of Slippery Rock; 23 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a son and a granddaughter.
HUNTINGTON - A graveside service for Gerald A. Huntington, who died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville with Robert Hinds of Slippery Rock University officiating. Arrangements were completed by CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, Grove City.

Josephine A. Ziegler
Josephine A. Ziegler, 88, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Rochester, Beaver County, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born March 10, 1913, in New Brunswick, N.J., she was the daughter of Frederick and Josephine Gunther.
She is survived by a son, Robert F. Ziegler of Rochester; a daughter, Frances Fay Gifford of Maryland; a brother, Charles Gunther of New Jersey; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Her husband, Robert Frank Ziegler, whom she married Sept. 26, 1935, died Aug. 26, 1990.
Services and burial are private.

Joan R. Vescio
Joan R. Vescio, 63, of Cranberry Township died Tuesday.
Born in Pittsburgh on March 13, 1938, she was the daughter of David and Cecelia Rodgers.
Her husband, Thomas A. Vescio Jr., preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Donna J. Jordanhazy of Valencia; a son, Thomas A. Vescio III of Ohio; and two sisters, Alice Volz of Cranberry Township and Eleanor Schwab of Ross Township.
VESCIO - Friends of Joan R. Vescio, who died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Highway, Ross Township. Margaret V. Stuper
Margaret V. Stuper, 84, formerly of Weitzel Road, died Tuesday morning at the YWCA Personal Care Home.
Born near Boyers, June 28, 1917, she was the daughter of Frank and Margaret Yuhasz Vargo.
Mrs. Stuper was a graduate of The Butler Business College and had been a bookkeeper before she retired. She also had worked at the Butler County Day Care Center.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Carole R. Stuper of Butler; three sons, Frank J. Jr. and R. Kirby Stuper, both of Butler, and John A. Stuper of Hamden, Conn.; a sister, Mrs. Barbara Schenkel of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was the widow of Frank J. Stuper Sr., who died Sept. 12, 1977. She also was preceded in death by two brothers.

Patricia A. Rumbarger
Patricia A. Rumbarger, 56, of Hobe Sound, Fla., died Jan. 16, 2002, at Jupiter Medical Center in Florida.
Born May 27, 1945, she was a native of Bomont, W.Va., and lived in Hobe Sound for the past three years. She lived in Sewickley before moving to Florida.
She had been an office manager for various companies and was a certified notary in Florida.
Mrs. Rumbarger was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Hobe Sound.
Surviving are her husband of 10 years, Ken Rumbarger; two sons, Chris A. Myers of Karns City and Gregory K.M. Myers of Spokane, Wash.; a stepdaughter, Lynn A. McFadden of Fredericksburg, Va.; a stepson, Robb Rumbarger of Farmington Hills, Mich.; and six grandchildren.
Six sisters, Beulah Workman of Charleston, W.Va., Betty Lou Kohne of Brandy Station, Va., Evelyn Smith of Woodbridge, Va., Carol Bruetsch of Cleveland, Ohio, Lorna Cogar of Sandusky, Ohio, and Agnes Jurgensen of Euclid, Ohio; and a two brothers, Creed Moore of Clendenin, W.Va., and Bernard Moore of Jane Lew, W.Va.; also survive.
RUMBARGER - A memorial service for Patricia A. Rumbarger, who died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., with the Rev. J. David Panther officiating.
A memorial service also was held Jan. 21 at Bethel Lutheran Church, Hobe Sound.
